Upon the Finished Work of Jesus Christ: Wherein the Soul Finds Rest in the Father’s Unchanging Delight and Rejoices with Singing by Debbie Harris

O Thou who seest not as mortal eyes,
Nor weighs the soul by merit’s fragile scale,
But lookest through the veil where Jesus dies,
And finds in Him the worth that cannot fail—

What though my hands be stained, my steps unsure,
My heart a field half-tilled and overgrown?
Thou countest not the debts I still endure,
For on the Cross Thy reckoning was done.

“Beloved Son,” the heavens once proclaimed,
And now in Him I stand, by grace made one.
The aroma sweet of Christ, not mine, is named;
In that sweet savour Thou delightest, Son.

No thunderous voice of wrath pursues my shame,
But Zephaniah’s song breaks forth in glee:
The Lord in midst of me, exulting flame,
Rejoices with loud singing over me.

My sins, like scattered clouds, are blown away;
No ledger dark records what Christ has paid.
Thou art not wroth when I in weakness stray—
Thy love abounds, slow anger, quick to aid.

I am Thy child, not striving to become;
The Father’s love hath called me what I am.
No better self awaits a fuller sum—
I rest in what the finished work hath won.

Then let me cease from toil to earn Thy smile,
And walk as one already well approved.
The pressure falls; instead, a holy guile—
To live from favour, not for it be moved.

O God, who in Thy Son art pleased with me,
Though I see naught but failure in my glass,
Let this truth shine: Thy pride is full and free,
Rooted in Christ, and changeless as Thou art.

For nothing in my past or present frame
Can dim the glory of redeeming grace.
I am accepted in the Beloved’s name—
And in that name, I find my resting place.

Stanza 1
From the depths of sin and shame,
Where my soul was bound in chains,
Came a voice that called my name—
Love that breaks what guilt restrains!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

Stanza 2
When the accuser raised his voice,
Pointing out my every wrong,
Mercy silenced every noise,
Grace rewrote my broken song!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

Stanza 3
On the cross my Savior died,
Bearing wrath that should be mine;
Now I’m raised and justified,
Seated in the heavenlies fine!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

Stanza 4
Every chain of fear is gone,
Death has lost its fatal sting;
Christ the Victor leads us on,
Making all His people sing!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

Stanza 5
Though the trials rage and roar,
Grace supplies my every need;
Mercy opens heaven’s door,
And my heart is fully freed!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

Stanza 6
Now I run this race with fire,
Eyes on Jesus, strong and true;
Mercy lifts me ever higher,
Grace will carry me on through!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

Stanza 7
When I stand before the throne,
Clothed in robes of righteousness,
I will cast my crown before
Him who saved me—nothing less!
Refrain
It’s all mercy! It’s all grace!
Vict’ry shouts in every place!
Grace that triumphs, mercy wins,
Hallelujah! Joy begins!
Glory, glory, praise His name—
It’s all mercy, all grace!

We Are Seated in Triumph: By One Offering He Hath Perfected Forever the Sanctified by Debbie Harris

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
— Hebrews 10:14 (KJV)

By one oblation, offered once for all,
The spotless Lamb hath wrought the end of strife;
No more the altar smokes with victims’ fall,
No priestly hands repeat the toil of life.
He, seated high at God’s right hand, doth reign,
And waits till every foe beneath Him lies—
The final triumph of His cross is plain:
Perfected evermore, the sanctified arise.

What endless toil the ancient shadows knew,
The blood of bulls and goats that could not cleanse;
Yet in His flesh He bore the curse anew,
And by that single stroke made full amends.
The veil is rent, the sanctuary flung wide,
Access is granted to the holiest place;
No condemnation now can e’er betide
The souls He hath perfected by His grace.

O glorious victory! The war is won,
Though tempests rage and sin still strives below;
In Him we stand complete, the battle done,
His righteousness our everlasting glow.
Forever sanctified, forever free,
We march as conquerors beneath His banner bright;
The Captain of salvation’s sure decree:
One offering perfects us in endless light.

Rejoice, ye saints! Lift high the victor’s song,
For death is swallowed up, and hell o’erthrown;
In Christ alone the ransomed souls belong,
Perfected ever by His work alone.
No merit ours, no striving of our own—
His cross the triumph, His blood the seal divine;
Thus rests the soul upon the Cornerstone,
Victorious now, and evermore to shine.

Two Souls: Pleasing God or Man by Debbie Harris

Galatians 1:10 KJV
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

Upon the page where Paul his calling spake,
“For do I now persuade men, or God?”
One soul its gaze on Heaven’s throne doth take,
And seeks alone the Lord’s approving nod.

This soul, though mocked by worldly scorn and jeer,
Stands firm, a servant true of Christ the King;
No compromise its holy path doth veer,
In pleasing God it finds eternal spring.

Bold is its witness, free its every breath,
Unfettered by the crowd’s approving sigh;
It walks in light, defying fear of death,
And reaps at last the crown that cannot die.

Yet lo, another soul—though saved by grace—
Still courts the favor of the sons of men;
To win their smile it hides its Savior’s face
And softens truth to please the crowd again.

Dire are the fruits of such a pleasing game:
A snare it brings, as holy writ makes plain;
The heart divided knows no peace or fame,
Its light grows dim, its witness but in vain.

No servant bold of Christ can such one be,
For fear of man a mighty trap doth lay;
Rewards are lost at heaven’s great decree,
And fellowship with God doth fade away.

O soul, choose well whom thou shalt seek to please—
The Eternal One or fleeting mortal breath.
In God’s delight true joy and freedom seize,
Lest pleasing men become thy soul’s defeat.

Heaven’s Hallelujah Chorus: The Lord God Omnipotent Reigneth – A Poem of Rest in the King of Kings by Debbie Harris

In the midst of life’s fiercest tempests and deepest shadows, there is a peace that surpasses understanding — a calm that descends only when we remember that Christ reigneth. His sovereign rule does not merely command the winds and waves; it stills the restless storms within our own hearts. This pairing of Scripture and poetry is an invitation to lift our eyes to the throne above, where the King of kings sits in endless light, offering rest, victory, and the promise that every tear will one day be wiped away. May these words draw your soul into the hush of His presence and the joy of His eternal reign.

Revelation 19:1-10 (KJV)

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

In realms where tempests rage and shadows creep,
A hush descends, as ancient promises keep.
The throne above, unyielding, firm, and bright,
Where sits the King of kings in endless light.

Our Lord and Savior reigns, His scepter strong,
No earthly crown can match His sovereign song.
Through valleys deep where fears like rivers flow,
His voice commands the winds: “Be still, and know.”

The storms that howl, the doubts that claw the soul,
Bow low before the One who makes them whole.
He calms the sea with but a whispered word,
And peace, like dawn, upon the weary stirred.

In Him, the battle’s won before the fight,
The darkness flees before His holy might.
No chain can bind, no grave can hold His power—
He rose triumphant at the appointed hour.

So rest, O heart, in this eternal reign,
Where grace abounds and sorrow turns to gain.
The Lord who conquered death now holds the key—
In His dominion, we are truly free.

At peace forever, ‘neath His watchful eye,
Our Savior reigns, and every tear shall dry.
Let heavens ring with hallelujahs grand,
For Christ is King, and in His hand we stand.

Revelation 22:20 (KJV)
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Until All Have Heard: A Warning Against the Warm, White-Sepulchre Christianity That Bears No Scars of the Cross by Debbie Harris

In shadowed halls where once the sacred flame
Burned bright with truth from Calvary’s scarred tree,
A hollow creed now whispers out a name—
“Christianity”—yet Christ it will not see.

The Word, once living sword and guiding star,
Lies dusty on the shelf of quaint old lore;
They trade the Cross for comfort’s gilded bar,
And nail anew what love could not restore.

No thorn-crowned King, no blood-bought pardon here,
But gentle fables soft as morning mist—
A therapy of self, a smile austere,
Where sin is but a wound the world has kissed.

They build their temples tall with marble lies,
Proclaim a gospel sweetened, safe, and tame;
Yet heaven weeps, and hell in silence cries:
“This is no Christ—only His empty name.”

O wandering flock, return to Jordan’s stream!
Cling to the Rock that breaks the rebel will.
Let not the age’s dream supplant the dream
Of Him who died—and bids the dead live still.

Until all have heard the ancient, thunderous call—
The narrow way, the gate, the risen Lord—
Stand fast, ye faithful: let no counterfeit enthrall,
For it is the Church that wields the living sharpness of His sword—
The living Word that cuts through every lie,
Not the compromised, warm, white sepulchre kind
Of Christianity, but the fierce and true
That answers only to the voice of Christ,
And calls the dead to rise and live anew.

Behold the Fallen Press: Foe to God, Betrayer of the People, and Desecrator of Our Constitution by Debbie Harris

In shadowed halls where truth once brightly shone,
The scribes of old, with noble quill and pen,
Defended right, exposed the tyrant’s throne,
And stood as watchmen for the rights of men.

But now a darkness creeps across the page,
Where lies are dressed in garments of the light;
They twist the sacred words of every age,
Call evil good, and good an endless night.

They mock the God who formed the stars above,
Deride the faith that built this nation’s frame;
With venom’d ink, they poison hope and love,
And heap contempt upon our fathers’ name.

The people, once their charge, are now their prey—
Divided, scorned, and fed on bitter lies;
While Constitution’s voice they disobey,
And trample freedoms under feet that rise.

O Press, once guardian of the people’s will,
Now foe to Heaven, to law, and to the free!
You sow the seeds of chaos, strife, and ill,
And call it progress, bold modernity.

Yet light endures though darkness rages long;
The Word of God outlasts the fleeting scroll.
The people wake; the Constitution’s song
Shall ring again, and claim the nation’s soul.

For He who judges nations from on high
Will weigh the press that called the good as vile;
And in that day, the truth shall never die—
The press shall fall; God’s truth shall rule the land.

The Biblical Inversion: The Last Shall Be First – A Promise of Hidden Glory Revealed by Debbie Harris

No gentle balm, this promise cuts like flame—
A biblical inversion, wild and unafraid,
That topples every ledger carved by fame,
Where worldly crowns and loud applause will fade.

The quiet ones, the overlooked, the mocked,
Who toiled unseen through long, unthanked night’s shade,
The passed-over, belittled, slandered, blocked—
They are not lost. Their hidden weight is weighed.

The proud who clawed their way with breath and name,
Whose echoes rang on tongues that time will still,
Will stare astonished at the great reordering’s claim,
As thrones of sand dissolve beneath God’s will.

Exquisite mercy dignifies the small
Without demanding they grow loud or bright;
It whispers low: your unseen integrity stood tall,
Your endurance when no cheering crowd took flight.

The love poured out with empty hands returned,
The truth upheld though status bled away,
The small fidelities no scroll has earned—
These are the currency that heaven will repay.

Jesus proclaimed it through a hundred signs:
“Who humbles self shall rise, who exalts shall fall.”
He showed it in the vineyard’s equal lines—
Late workers paid the same as those who bore it all.

He spread the banquet wide for crippled, poor, and blind,
While first-invited turned with cold excuse;
He weighed the widow’s mites, so light, so kind,
And found them richer than the rich men’s loose.

This word will not erase the present sting—
Slander still wounds, unseen feels like slow death—
Yet it reframes the fire: your suffering can sing,
The very forge that qualifies you for first breath.

So lift your head, beloved—not in pride,
But quiet confidence beneath the King’s decree.
The last shall be first—His royal word, not a lie;
The Author delights in reversals wild and free.

The world’s loud heroes built on sinking sand;
The minimized laid stones where glory counts.
Hold fast—the story turns beneath His hand.
The night is long… but dawn of triumph mounts.

Hold fast, beloved, though the night seems long—
The great reversal thunders like a roar!
The last shall be first, exalted in His song;
Victorious, crowned, and lifted evermore!

Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords Is Our Greatest Wealth by Debbie Harris

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” (ESV)

Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (ESV)

In twilight’s hush where golden shadows play,
The heart unfolds its ledger, line by line—
One column bright with coin and worldly gain,
The other veiled in light that knows no time.

“Serve not two lords,” the ancient warning cries,
For love divided splits the soul in twain;
The hand that clutches silver’s fleeting prize
Will lose the grasp that reaches heaven’s reign.

Yet fret not for the bread, the cloak, the field—
The sparrows sing, the lilies wear their best;
The Father sees each need His hand will yield
To those who lay all treasures in His chest.

O soul, arise! Let earthly lures grow dim,
Pursue the Kingdom’s pearl of matchless worth;
Seek first His face, His truth, His holy hymn—
And all things else shall bloom upon this earth.

When riches call with siren songs of rest,
Remember: only God can truly fill;
The restless heart, by weariness oppressed,
Is drawn at last to do the Father’s will.

Christ and His Word — our greatest wealth
More precious than all rubies, gold, or gem,
Is Christ Himself, the Living Word made flesh;
In Him alone true riches find their stem,
His promises a never-failing mesh.

No vault of kings, no hoard of ancient kings,
Can match the treasure stored in grace divine;
His spoken truth, like purest silver, rings—
Eternal wealth that makes the poor man shine.

So fix thine eyes beyond the fading gold,
Where moth and rust hold no destructive sway;
Christ and His Word our sovereign wealth behold—
Victorious forever, we shall soar.
