It is finished.

The final breath, the veil in two,
The ancient curse forever through.
No more the shadow, no more the chain—
The Lamb has conquered, the Lion has slain.

It is finished.

The debt is paid in crimson flood,
The grave is empty, the tomb is good.
What hell had stolen, heaven restores;
The King has risen—death is no more.

It is finished.

Glorious dawn breaks over the night,
Hope like a river, endless and bright.
Every promise, every word kept true,
The battle is won—beloved, for you.

It is finished.

Victorious thunder rolls through the skies,
The saints arise with jubilant cries.
No power can sever what grace has sealed;
In Christ alone, the victory is revealed.

It is finished—
and all is made new.
Hallelujah.
The story is true.

We come not as the condemned before the bar,
Where Justice wields her unrelenting scar;
No guilty hands hang limp in dark despair,
No downcast eyes await the sentence there.

But lo! we stand before the Throne of Grace,
Where Mercy shines upon the sinner’s face.
Why, then, O soul, this sadness veiled in night,
When Heaven’s King invites thee to His light?

If thou wert called to justice’ awful seat,
Thy trembling frame might justly fear defeat;
But now the Sovereign in His silken love,
Robed in compassion from His throne above,

Bids thee approach with joy, with sacred fire,
And let thy countenance in gladness shine entire.
No more the weight of sin thy spirit binds—
The blood of Christ has loosed all guilty chains.

Lift up thy head, let holy delight arise,
Let praise ascend as incense to the skies;
For thou art favored, called, and dearly known,
Before the King who claims thee as His own.

Rejoice, beloved, in this boundless grace,
And meet His gaze with unveiled, radiant face.
The Throne that once would strike now bids thee sing—
Draw near, O soul, and worship Christ the King.

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
— Psalm 93:1 (KJV)

The Lord reigneth.
May this be
our incessant,
joyful,
victorious
anthem of praise!

Risen in Glory, Alleluia!
An Easter Anthem
(For SATB choir and piano, with optional brass/handbells)

Verse 1
In the shadow of the cross we stood,
Where love poured out in crimson flood;
The Savior slain, the curtain torn,
The weight of sin forever borne.

Pre-Chorus
The stone was sealed, the guards kept watch,
Yet heaven’s plan no grave could match;
In silence deep, the third day dawned—
The King of life forever spawned!

Chorus
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Risen in glory, death defeated!
Risen in power, our chains are broken!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen today!
Sing with joy, the tomb is empty—
He lives forever, come what may!
Alleluia! Alleluia!

Verse 2
Now Mary heard the angel’s word,
“Behold, He is not here—He’s Lord!”
The risen Christ in victory strode,
The path of life, the way to God.

Bridge
What once was lost is now restored,
By wounds that heal, by grace outpoured;
O death, where is your sting this day?
The grave has lost its hold—He reigns!

Final Chorus
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Risen in glory, reigning on high!
Risen forever, our hope eternal!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen today!
Let every tongue and nation sing—
The King has conquered everything!
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Risen in glory—Alleluia!

Coda
Alleluia… alleluia…
Christ is risen indeed!
Risen in glory… alleluia!

The Triumphant Cry of the Ransomed: Forever Perfect by One Sacrifice by Debbie Harris

Hebrews 10:14 (KJV)
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

In dawn’s unquenchable aurora, blazing wide,
Where ancient glooms dissolve in floods of tide,
One Offering—supreme, resplendent, whole—
Hath perfected forever every ransomed soul.

No more the crimson streams on altars spent,
No shadowed hands in trembling sacrament;
But Christ the Victor, robed in living flame,
Illumines His own with His transcendent name.

Forever perfect—O triumphant cry!
Though grace still works its slow, refining fire,
And pilgrim souls are daily lifted higher,
Yet stands the verdict: spotless, justified!

In righteousness ablaze they stand arrayed,
With choral throngs where sapphire glories cascade.
The single stroke that rent the veil in twain
Unloosed pure cataracts of rapturous refrain:

“Hosanna! Worthy is the Lamb once slain!
By one oblation endless light we gain!”
Rejoice, ye saints, in ceaseless, diamond glee—
His offering hath crowned eternity!

Stanza 1
All our sins—past, present, future—forgiven stand,
Hurled to ocean depths, remembered nevermore.
Calvary’s crimson flood has sealed the grand command:
Pardoned forever; accuser’s claim no more.

Refrain
O victory! O glorious victory in Jesus’ name!
Our sins are cast as far as east is from the west!
White as snow, whiter than the purest winter flame,
Justified—just as if we’d never sinned—forever blest!
Hallelujah! Praise the Lamb enthroned in endless light!
Redeemed, restored, robed in His everlasting might!

Stanza 2
Sins of our youth, the stumbles of our striving years,
Secret shadows buried deep within the soul—
Swept clean away in mercy’s overflowing tears,
No lingering charge, no condemnation’s toll.

Refrain

Stanza 3
Even now, when frailty whispers, weakness calls aloud,
Old nature stirs—yet His blood pleads stronger still.
Mercy rushes in where fallen sinners cry out loud,
Guilt melts away beneath the cross on Calvary’s hill.

Refrain

Stanza 4
Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound,
Super-abounding, boundless, without end or measure.
Law exposed our shame, yet grace in triumph crowned,
Prevails victorious through Christ our risen treasure!

Refrain

Stanza 5
Behold the marvel: God declares the sinner just,
Not by our works, but Christ’s obedience complete.
Imputed righteousness, a robe no moth can rust—
We stand arrayed in glory at the mercy seat.

Refrain

Stanza 6
No condemnation echoes from the throne on high,
The Judge is now our Brother, Advocate divine.
Curse exhausted, law fulfilled upon the tree—
In Christ we rise, unshackled, free from every sign.

Refrain

Stanza 7
When Satan roars, accuses with relentless spite,
Dragging up our failures, seeking to condemn—
We raise the blood of Jesus, shout with holy might:
“Your doom is sealed in fire, deceiver—your end has come!”

Refrain

Stanza 8
Let ransomed voices rise through every age untold,
With angels, saints, and martyrs in the endless day—
Sins all forgiven, grace forevermore unfolds,
We crown You, Lamb of God, in ceaseless, joyous praise!

Refrain (final, with soaring repeat)
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen and amen forevermore!

The Everlasting, Heaven-Shaking Jubilee: Proclaiming the Joy of the Lord as Our Invincible Strength, Our Triumphant War-Cry, Our Radiant Crown of Glory, and Our Unending Song of Victory by Debbie Harris

The joy of the Lord erupts in golden roar,
A wildfire feast that no darkness can tame!
It storms the gates of grief and breaks the door,
And every captive heart cries out His name.

No valley deep enough to drown its blaze,
No mountain high enough to block its flight—
It leaps across the years, through endless days,
A banner blazing brighter than the light!

We rise on wings of laughter, fierce and free,
Our feet crush sorrow underneath our dance;
The enemy retreats in trembling plea
While heaven joins our shout of vast expanse.

O joy invincible, our strength, our crown—
In Thee we triumph, and all creation bows down!

Empty Hands Raised in Victory’s Tide: Longing to Do More for My Precious Savior by Debbie Harris

I wish I could do more, my Lord, my King,
For You who gave everything—
Your hands pierced, Your side torn wide,
To raise me up in victory’s tide.

Yet here I stand with empty hands,
A heart that burns, yet scarce began
To match the grace that set me free,
The boundless love You poured on me.

Still, in the quiet, small and true,
I offer what my soul can do:
A whispered praise at break of day,
A step of faith along Your way.

A cup of water given kind,
A listening ear, a soul aligned—
These humble threads, though frail they seem,
You weave into a greater dream.

So take my “more,” though small it be,
And multiply it, Lord, through me.
Until that day I see Your face,
And all my striving finds its place.

In Your mercy, let it be enough—
My all for You, my precious love.

Morning’s First Hymn – A Small Bird’s Anthem to the One Who Made All Things by Debbie Harris

The poem opens with a serene depiction of early morning: soft golden light spreading over hills as the world awakens in quiet beauty. High in the tallest tree, a small bird perches and begins to sing—not out of need or sorrow, but in pure, unburdened joy. Its clear, trembling notes rise like a hymn, praising the Creator who gave it wings, voice, and life. The bird becomes a living emblem of effortless gratitude and worship: free of worldly cares, it simply offers song to the One who made it. The speaker is moved by this tiny, radiant creature and gently longs for the same simplicity in human hearts. We, too often weighed down by worry or distraction, are invited to learn from the bird—to rise with the dawn, open our souls, and lift our own praise to our Creator with the same natural, wholehearted delight. In essence, the poem is a tender meditation on gratitude, worship, and emulation: the bird’s morning song reveals a model of how we might live—awake to beauty, unencumbered by complaint, and continually singing back to God in response to His gift of life and wonder.

In the hush of dawn, when the world lies still,
Golden light spills soft o’er the eastern hill,
A tiny bird ascends the tallest tree,
Perched on swaying bough, wild and free.

His feathers catch the rose and amber gleam,
A jewel alive in the morning’s dream,
Throat trembling wide, he pours forth his lay—
Pure notes of joy that chase the night away.

No thought of sorrow, no weight of care,
Only praise ascending through the crystal air,
A hymn to the Maker who formed his wing,
Who tuned his voice that the heavens might ring.

O may our hearts, so often bound and dim,
Learn from this creature, so small yet so brim
With gratitude’s fire, with love’s simple art—
To lift our own song with an open heart.

Let us rise like the lark in the breaking day,
And sing to our Creator, come what may,
For in every breath, in beauty’s embrace,
We find the same wonder, the same boundless grace.

“I Will Remember Their Sin No More”A Hymn on the Triumph of Divine Love over Divine Omniscience by Debbie Harris

When God beholds the sinner’s scroll,
 He finds no stain remains;
The debt is paid, the breach made whole,
 Forgiven are his chains.

Though every fault lies bare to sight
 Beneath th’ all-seeing eye,
Yet love, more strong than boundless light,
 Refuses memory’s cry.

Omniscience could rehearse the fall,
 Recount each wandering trace;
But mercy overrules it all
 And grants a spotless place.

The Judge who knows all things aright
 Declares the record clean;
For Christ has borne the darkened night
 And washed away the sin.

No charge shall rise on judgment day,
 No guilt shall e’er return;
The Lord who blotted sins away
Hath sworn He will not turn.

O depth of covenant grace divine,
That love should silence lore!
The past is lost in love’s design—
God remembers sin no more.
