Poet’s Note

Dear Reader,

I wrote this lament with a heavy heart. Nigeria’s Christian communities are being systematically slaughtered — villages burned, churches destroyed, families wiped out — in the name of Islam. This is not random violence or mere tribal clashes. It is the direct fruit of a demonic ideology that teaches total domination, conversion by the sword, and death for those who refuse.

I call Islam what it is: an evil creed of conquest and submission. For too long, the world has hidden behind soft words and political correctness while innocent blood flows. The martyrs cry out from the ground. Their suffering demands truth, not comfort.

If this poem offends the guilty, so be it. If it wakes the sleeping, it has done its job.

May their blood not be forgotten, and may justice come swiftly.

—The Poet

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil. (Psalm 97:10)

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. (Proverbs 8:13)

Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Romans 12:9)

Hate the evil, and love the good. (Amos 5:15)

On the suffering of Christians:

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you. (John 15:20)

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2 Timothy 3:12)

On the blood of martyrs:

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? (Revelation 6:10)

On false teachings and killing in God’s name:

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. (1 Timothy 4:1)

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. (John 16:2)

On spiritual battle:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

On calling evil what it is:

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil. (Isaiah 5:20)

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (Ephesians 5:11)

In the blood-soaked fields of Nigeria’s weeping plains,

Where faithful bones lie shattered beneath the scornful sun,

The ancient Cross is trampled by the crescent’s cruel chains,

And Islam’s demonic creed devours daughter, father, son.

From Boko Haram’s blades to Fulani herdsmen’s fire,

The ummah’s holy mandate rings with unrelenting hate—

“Convert or die,” the doctrine whispers, fueled by dark desire,

A supremacist plague that brooks no equal, spares no fate.

This evil ideology, forged in desert conquest’s flame,

Demands total submission, mercy’s name forever banned;

It sanctifies the slaughter, exalts the infidel’s shame,

And turns the Koran’s verses into ropes for Christian hands.

Churches blaze like beacons in the terror-haunted night,

Schoolgirls kidnapped, brides defiled in Allah’s twisted name,

Whole villages erased beneath the jihad’s savage might,

While Western silence cloaks the truth in diplomatic shame.

Oh, demonic creed of bondage, sword and taqiyya’s lie,

You cloak your lust for dominance in robes of pious deceit;

You breed the suicide bomber, train the child to glorify

The rivers running red with those who dare to not retreat.

No peace resides within you—only dhimmi chains and fear,

A totalitarian hunger that history cannot deny;

From Nigeria’s bleeding heart to every frontier near,

Your fruit is death unending, your harvest graves piled high.

Yet still the martyrs sing beneath the blade’s descending arc,

Their voices rising heavenward through smoke and ash and pain:

“How long, O Lord, till justice breaks this ideology’s dark?”

Till Islam’s evil empire meets its long-prophesied shame.

Weep, world, for Nigeria’s slaughtered saints in endless row,

Whose only crime was loving Christ while Islam bared its fang.

The lament thunders louder—let every conscience know:

This is no random violence; this is the faith’s own song.

Awake, arise, and call the demon by its ancient name,

Lest the crescent’s shadow lengthen and the Cross be overthrown.

For evil unresisted spreads its consecrated flame,

And Nigeria’s Christian blood cries out from hallowed stone.

Transformed from Glory to Glory: The Sanctifying Power of the Holy Word Through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by Debbie Harris

Dear Reader,

These words flow from a heart that has tasted the living power of God’s Word. In a world loud with many voices, may you find here a quiet invitation to draw near to the Triune God through the sacred Scriptures. True and lasting sanctification is not found in our own efforts, nor in fleeting religious activity. There can be no deep, abiding transformation where His precious people remain distant from the life-giving holy Word. Only as we dwell in it—day after day, heart and mind immersed—does the Spirit do His sanctifying work, changing us from glory to glory into the likeness of Christ. May this poem stir in you a fresh hunger for the Word, and may you experience the joy of being daily renewed by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

With prayer and affection,
The Poet

Scriptural Foundation (KJV)

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Ephesians 5:26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

John 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Psalm 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Jeremiah 23:29
Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

John 1:1, 14
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…

In the hush of sacred pages, where the Triune God draws near,
The holy Word, alive and piercing, whispers truth so clear.
It is not by human striving, nor by fleeting works of dust,
But by this precious treasure that our hearts are formed and thrust.

You in the Word—O let us dwell, immersed in every line,
Where mercy flows like rivers deep and grace and truth entwine.
The Father speaks, the Son redeems, the Spirit breathes anew,
Sanctification’s gentle fire refines us through and through.

From glory unto glory, we are changed by heaven’s light,
No veil remains to dim the sight of pure and holy sight.
The Word transforms our brokenness, our fears and doubts release,
And molds us into Christ’s own form, reflecting heaven’s peace.

May we all abide within it, rooted, grounded, strong and whole,
Let every soul be washed and filled, made new from deep within the soul.
For power lives not in our hands, but in this living sword—
The Triune God’s own holy Word, forever our reward.

So come, be still, and let it work its wonder day by day,
Till we arise, transformed and bright, in everlasting ray.

A Solemn Call to Repentance: Lest America Perish Beneath the Shadow of Demonic Ideologies and the Approaching Judgment of God by Debbie Harris

Dear Reader,

I write these lines not as a poet seeking applause, but as a watchman compelled by conscience and burdened by love for my country. In an hour when America stands at a grave crossroads—when ancient truths are mocked, when demonic ideologies disguised as progress and compassion have infiltrated our institutions, our schools, our hearts, and even our sanctuaries—I could not remain silent. This poem is a solemn call to repentance. It is a cry from the soul of one who still believes that God has not forsaken this land, but that we as a people have forsaken Him. We have traded the fear of the Lord for the applause of men. We have exchanged liberty for license, justice for vengeance, and the light of truth for the darkness of deception. The blood of the innocent cries out. The family lies in ruins. Confusion reigns where clarity once stood. And judgment, though long restrained by mercy, draws steadily nearer. My prayer is simple: that every reader—whether believer or skeptic—would pause, search their own heart, and consider the hour in which we live. This is not a political manifesto. It is a spiritual alarm. Repentance is not shame; it is the doorway to restoration. It is the path back to the God who raised this nation from a wilderness and made her a beacon to the world. If these words sting, let them sting unto life. If they convict, let them drive you to your knees. If they awaken hope, let that hope be anchored in the only One who can heal our land. America can still be saved—but only through humble, sincere, national turning back to God. The choice remains ours for a little while longer.

With urgent love and trembling hope,
The Poet

2 Chronicles 7:14
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Jeremiah 18:7-8
“The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it.”Proverbs 14:34
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Isaiah 5:20
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness…”

Ephesians 6:12
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

1 Timothy 4:1
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.”

Joel 2:12-13
“‘Now, therefore,’ says the Lord, ‘Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.’ So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God…”

Ezekiel 18:30-32
“Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin… For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”

Isaiah 59:14
“Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands afar off; for truth has fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.”2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise… but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”These Scriptures form the spiritual backbone of the poem. They proclaim both solemn warning and tender hope: judgment follows persistent sin, but mercy awaits a humble and repentant people.

O America, thou favored land of light,
Once pilgrim’s hope upon a stormy shore,
Whose covenant with Heaven burned so bright—
Now dimmed by shadows at thy temple door.

The ancient Dragon stirs with cunning guile,
In silken lies and ideologies of night;
He cloaks his chains in freedom’s stolen smile,
And calls the darkness wisdom, pure and right.

Repent! The Judge upon His throne draws near,
His eyes like flame behold thy crimson stain—
The blood of innocents, the silent tear,
The altars cold, the broken marriage chain.

Where once thy steeples rang with sacred song,
Now temples rise to self and fleeting lust;
Where liberty and law walked hand in strong,
Now chaos reigns and iron fists of dust.

Awake, ye sons of Plymouth’s holy vow,
Ye children of the Revolution’s fire!
The whirlwind gathers; heaven’s trumpets bow
To sound the warning of consuming ire.

Demonic doctrines slither through thy schools,
Twisting the young with serpents’ poisoned tongue;
They crown the vile, they mock the golden rules,
And call good evil till the darkness sung.

Repent, O nation! Rend thy haughty heart,
In sackcloth bow before the mercy throne;
Cast down thy idols, tear thy lies apart,
And turn thee wholly to the Lord alone.

For judgment rides upon the tempest’s wing—
Plague, division, violence, and despair—
Yet mercy lingers still, a boundless spring,
If thou wilt seek with contrite, fervent prayer.

Restore the altar! Let the pulpits flame
With truth unyielding, sharp as a two-edged sword;
Let families kneel and call upon His Name,
The only Rock, the everlasting Lord.

Then shall thy light break forth as morning fair,
Thy wounds be healed, thy former glory rise;
A city set on a hill, beyond compare,
A beacon once again beneath the skies.

Hear now the watchman’s final, solemn cry:
“Repent, America, while time remains!
Lest thou, like Babylon, in ruin lie,
And judgment seals thy once triumphant name.”

O turn thee now—thy God is slow to wrath,
His arms still open, waiting to forgive;
Repent, and live! Walk in the ancient path,
And by His grace forever truly live.

When God Gives Souls Up To A Demonic Reprobate Mind by Debbie Harris

Romans 1:28 (KJV)

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Romans 1:24-26 (KJV)

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

In shadowed halls where truth is bent and broken,

Men trade the Eternal for the fleeting spark,

Worship the creature, words of lies are spoken,

And bow to dust instead of Heaven’s arc.

The Maker’s glory, blazing, pure, and bright,

Exchanged for idols carved by human hands—

So God withdraws His grip, releases light,

And gives them up to what their lust demands.

To uncleanness, hearts inflamed with fire,

Bodies dishonored in the secret place,

Where passion twists what purity would require,

And shame parades as freedom, face to face.

For this, vile affections take their throne,

Women forsake the use that nature gave,

Men burn with madness, reaping what was sown,

In chambers dark where souls become a grave.

A reprobate mind, no longer held in check,

Approves the evil, calls the darkness light—

No fear of judgment, no remorse to check

The headlong rush into the endless night.

O hear the warning, trembling as you stand:

Reject the Giver, chase the gift instead,

And He will loose the reins upon your hand,

Till what you crave becomes your daily bread.

Turn back, return, before the giving o’er—

The God who judges also stands to save.

His mercy waits, an open, boundless door,

For those who call upon the name that saves.

Let this be known: The path of self is steep,

And leads to ruin wrapped in false delight.

Choose Christ, choose truth, choose Him whose word is deep—

Before the mind grows dark and loses sight.

Every Morning a Fresh Gift: Falling Before the Lamb in Grateful Praise by Debbie Harris

Dear Precious Reader,

Every morning is a fresh gift — a beautiful reminder of the miracle of being born again and having the gift of a new day. This poem flows from my own heart as I wake each morning and fall to my knees in awe. I wanted to capture that sacred moment when we remember we are no longer who we once were. We are chosen, washed clean, and made brand new in Christ. Each dawn is God’s tender mercy saying, “I have given you new life… now go live it for My glory.”I pray these words stir fresh joy in your spirit. May you feel the wonder of your new birth in Jesus all over again. May every sunrise fill you with deep gratitude, renewed strength, and a burning desire to advance the Kingdom of our Lord.You are deeply loved. You are truly born again. And every new day is proof that His mercies never fail.

With a grateful heart and lifted hands,
Your fellow traveler in grace

Brief Summary of the Poem’s Form

This poem is composed in a lyrical, hymn-like style reminiscent of classical Christian devotional poetry. It employs iambic pentameter (five pairs of unstressed-stressed syllables per line) throughout, giving it a steady, song-like rhythm suitable for both reading and worship. The structure consists of four eight-line stanzas followed by a closing four-line stanza and a final rhyming couplet, creating a sense of building praise that culminates in a doxology. The rhyme scheme is primarily ABAB CDCD in the longer stanzas, with occasional slight variations for natural flow. This balanced, repeating form enhances the poem’s celebratory tone while maintaining accessibility and musicality, making it feel both timeless and intimate.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Psalm 118:24 (ESV)
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Each morning when the eyes first open wide,
A wave of holy joy floods through the soul—
One falls upon the knees with arms raised high,
“I am Your child, Lord Jesus—born again!”
No blinding light, no thunder from above,
Yet deep within there rings the victor’s call:
“You are My chosen, purchased by My blood,
Born again—death has lost its hold at all!”

O what a wonder! Every dawn a gift,
Fresh mercy poured from uncreated grace,
Another day to live, to love, to lift
The Kingdom of our risen Lord in every place.
Once dead in sin, now justified by faith,
Adopted child and co-heir with the Son—
The old man crucified, the new man raised,
Forever joined with Christ, the risen One.

Like morning sun that gilds the waking earth,
God’s goodness fills the heart with grateful fire.
One kneels in awe, in thanksgiving, and in mirth,
Once lost—but now alive with new desire!
With every breath a song of praise ascends,
With every heartbeat thanks and glory rise.
The Savior, Jesus Christ, the soul’s true Friend—
In Him we live, redeemed and born again!

Each dawn we fall before the holy name,
Overflowing with joy, with thanks, with flame—
To walk this day and further Christ’s great reign,
Advancing Kingdom light where darkness reigned.

Glory, glory to the Lamb who rose again,
My Lord, my God—forever praised, Amen.

The Seriousness of Calling Yourself a “Christian” Without Any Recognizable Fruit by Debbie Harris

Jesus Christ our Lord is the true Vine,
The source of all life and living sap.
God the Father is the Gardener wise,
He tends and watches every branch with care.

Every branch that stays joined to Christ
But hangs empty — no fruit, no clusters in sight —
Even after many seasons of mercy and grace,
The Father cuts it off and takes it from its place.
He will not let dead wood remain attached.

But every branch that bears some fruit,
He prunes with care, though it may sting and hurt,
So stronger shoots and heavier clusters grow,
And richer, sweeter fruit appears on earth.

We must abide in Christ, and He in us.
A branch cut off can never bear its own.
It withers quickly, turns brittle, dry, and brown,
And lies there useless, barren, and alone.

Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches.
Whoever abides in Him will bear much fruit.
But apart from Christ we can do nothing —
We wither, fade, and slowly die.

If anyone does not abide in Christ,
He is cast out like a withered, lifeless limb.
Men gather up the dry wood from the ground,
And burn it in a fire fierce and grim.

God is patient, slow to wrath and kind,
He gives chance after chance, as with the fig tree.
He digs, He waters, waits with hope in mind —
But patience ends, the fruitless branch is cut free.

By their fruits you surely know the tree,
Faith without works is dead and hollow too.
The Spirit’s fruit is plain for all to see:
Love, joy, and peace in all we say and do.

So hear this warning deep within your soul:
Do not wear the name “Christian” with a barren life.
If no obedience and no real fruit appear,
The Gardener’s blade will cut you from this life.

Stay rooted deep in Jesus Christ each day,
Let His rich life flow strong through every part.
Then lasting fruit will grow without delay,
And you will please the Father’s loving heart.

I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes,
Branches once green now cut away and dry.
Lives that once walked close to the Lord
Now scattered, withered, passing by.

So let us examine our hearts today,
While mercy still calls and grace remains.
Abide in Christ, bear fruit while you may —
Lest we too are cut off from these earthly plains.

Unmoved Through Every Age: The Presence That Holds by Debbie Harris

One sets the Lord before them, ever near,
a constant light that holds through every hour.
No fleeting fear, no gathering doubt appears
where divine presence calms the restless power.

At their right hand the Sovereign stands secure,
an unshakable pillar when foundations sway.
Though tempests rage and shifting seasons scar,
they stand unmoved, held steady in that sway.

What tremor dares assail a soul so stayed?
What shadow falls where heaven’s anchor lies?
Each step they take is firm, each breath arrayed
in quiet strength beneath unchanging skies.

Let empires rise and crumble into dust,
let ages turn and stars forget their name—
through every trial, every trial’s thrust,
their heart remains, forever in His claim.

The world may spin in wild and furious play—
they shall not ever be moved, come what may.

Complete in the Triumphant Fullness of Jesus Christ Our Lord by Debbie Harris

Colossians 2:9-10
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

This poem joyfully proclaims that every soul finds total completeness, wholeness, and victory in Jesus Christ our Lord. It depicts believers as fully restored and reigning in Him—lacking nothing—resting secure in His perfect fullness, righteousness, and triumph over every obstacle.

The poem is written in a majestic literary style using consistent iambic pentameter and an ABAB rhyme scheme across six quatrain stanzas. Its smooth rhythm, vivid imagery, and rising refrains create a powerful, celebratory flow that feels both elegant and uplifting, matching the triumphant message.

In Jesus Christ our Lord, the soul stands complete,
No fragment missing, no dominion of defeat;
The fullness of the Godhead bodily resides
Within the One through whom all grace abides.
The ransomed rise, made whole by crimson tide,
No longer chained by law or fleshly stride;
In Him they dwell, lacking no gift, no light—
Complete in Christ, the Everlasting Might.

Triumphant anthems thunder from the heights,
Where principalities before Him bow;
The broken find their shattered days made right,
And empty vessels overflow somehow.
No longer tossed on oceans wild and wide,
Nor haunted by the curse that once held sway,
They wear His righteousness, His peace their guide,
His wisdom lighting every shadowed way.

Majestic Victor, Lion and the Lamb,
Whose glory clothes the heavens and the deep,
The faithful rest secure within the I AM,
Co-heirs with Him who woke from death’s cold sleep.
The serpent’s head lies crushed beneath His heel,
Death’s iron gates swing open at His word;
The ransomed throng in robes of glory kneel,
Yet rise to reign with Christ, their risen Lord.

O mystery divine, O boundless grace,
That mortal clay in union should be filled
With heaven’s treasure, sealed in sacred place,
Where every striving soul is stilled and stilled.
No height, no depth, no power, nothing less
Can sever this completeness from their breast;
They lift their voices in triumphant dress—
Complete, complete in Jesus Christ our Lord confessed.

Let galaxies resound, let ages sing,
Let every tongue proclaim the Victor’s fame;
In Him they live, they move, their anthems ring—
Forever whole and holy is His name.
The battle won, the race forever run,
The joy begun that never shall grow dim:
All glory, honor, praise to God the Son—
Complete in Jesus Christ our Lord, in Him, in Him!

This triumphant poem expands Jude 1:20-21 (KJV), calling believers to build on most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, stay rooted in God’s love, and eagerly await Christ’s mercy leading to eternal life. It moves from active spiritual building to victorious hope in Christ’s return.Structure note: Seven quatrains in flowing ABCB rhyme with hymn-like rhythm, creating a clear ascent from obedience to triumphant glory.

But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
~ Jude 1:20-21 (KJV)

O beloved, lift your eyes beyond the fray,
Where tempests rage and shadows seek to bind,
Build high your faith upon the Rock today—
A tower of holy fire, unconfined.

With hands of prayer that grasp the Spirit’s wind,
Invoke the breath that shakes the ancient deep;
Let tongues of glory from your spirit ascend,
A ceaseless anthem where the angels keep.

Keep yourselves within the love of God,
A fortress blazing, golden, fierce, and true—
No wave of doubt, no night of fear can mar
The blazing heart where His affection grew.

Wait—O triumphant wait!—for mercy’s crown,
The Lord’s return in splendor, swift and bright;
His mercy like a river rushing down
To carry souls into eternal light.

Behold the dawn! The trumpet splits the skies,
The King descends with healing in His wings;
We rise as one, with victory in our eyes,
And sing the song the ransomed sinner sings.

Beloved, stand! The battle’s won in grace,
Eternal life awaits your lifted face.

After spending time meditating on Isaiah 40:31 and Philippians 4:13, the Lord stirred this poem in my heart. It’s a reflection on waiting upon our Triune God — trusting Him to renew us with strength, talent, and ability for every task He calls us to, all so that His name may be glorified

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

In quiet hush where heaven’s threefold light
Burns pure and whole upon the altar throne,
We wait on God whose presence ends our night—
The Triune One whose strength becomes our own.

The Father speaks and holds the stars in place,
The Spirit breathes as wind and holy Dove,
And Jesus Christ, the Son of matchless grace,
Reveals His scars, the emblem of His love.

Our restless feet once raced through dust and haste,
Disrupting peace with hurried, anxious stride;
Yet here we linger, trusting in His grace—
The threefold cord no power can divide.

We wait on Him, and in that sacred pause,
Christ whispers deep: “Through Me you shall prevail.”
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”—
His risen life becomes our holy sail.

Like cedars rooted by the Father’s streams,
Like vines that cling unto the living Vine,
Like olives kissed by Spirit’s warming beams,
We draw new strength from glory’s vast design.

The desert heart blooms under Jesus’ gaze,
Where Father speaks and order clothes the ground;
The Son declares His victory ablaze,
And Spirit makes the barren places crowned.

In lengthening wait our roots drive deeper still,
Through Christ alone we mount on eagles’ wings;
We run unweary, guided by His will,
And walk the path where resurrection sings.

O soul, be still and know the mystery sweet:
The longer we abide in Christ our Lord,
The more the Triune God makes us complete—
Renewed in Him, by Him, and through His Word.

For Father plans, the Spirit empowers true,
And Jesus Christ supplies the strength we need;
In waiting we are lifted, made anew,
With talent, strength, and ability to succeed.

He is our All—Creator, Savior, Friend—
The Three-in-One whose love will never cease;
In Him our waiting finds its perfect end,
To glorify His name with every strength and gift released.
