In shadowed halls where seekers chase false lights,

A restless generation wanders blind;

Spiritually curious through endless nights,

Yet biblically illiterate—lost in mind.

They grasp at crystals, stars, and trending lore,

While Heaven’s Book lies dusty on the shelf;

Foundations crumble that their fathers bore,

The Holy Scriptures, silenced for themselves.

O tragic void! The Rock of Ages spurned,

The Word made flesh rejected in their pride;

They quote the self but never Christ have learned,

Who bled upon the tree for them, and died.

Yet in this darkness gleams the Gospel ray—

“Repent and trust!” the Bible’s trumpet cries;

For Jesus rose, the Stone the builders slay,

And offers living waters from on high.

Behold the Scriptures! Open wide the page,

Where Genesis whispers of the Lamb foretold;

Psalms crown Him King, Isaiah paints His wage—

The suffering Servant, purchased with His gold.

John thunders grace: “In the beginning, He!”

The cross stands tall where wrath and mercy meet;

The tomb is empty—death has lost its key—

Salvation’s door swings wide for sinners’ feet.

Though illiteracy has veiled the ancient flame,

The Holy Bible burns with Christ alone;

No other name, no other way, no claim—

But Jesus saves the broken, makes them whole.

Awake, ye souls! Take up the sacred Book,

Behold your sin in Scripture’s piercing light;

See Christ’s great love—His blood for sinners took—

Repent, believe: a new creation rises bright!

O come and drink! The greatest Story calls:

From dust to glory, death to life anew;

The tragedy dissolves in blood-bought grace—

In Jesus’ name, salvation waits for you.

An Iron Anathema Upon the Bastard Gospels: A Solemn Heroic Ode Against the Pernicious Errors of Moral Relativism, False Tolerance, the Prosperity Heresy, and All Manner of Immorality that Corrupt the Pure Grace of Christ in These Perilous Latter Days by Debbie Harris

Galatians 1:6-10 (NIV)

⁶ I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— ⁷ which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! ⁹ As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

¹⁰ Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

In Galatia’s sunlit vales where first the pure

Glad tidings rang from Paul’s unyielding tongue,

The heavens shook when swift apostates turned

From grace’s fountain to a gospel dunged

With human pride. “I marvel,” thundered he,

“Ye desert Him who called you into light,

To clutch a phantom gospel, no gospel be,

A twisted shadow born of darkest night.”

So now, in latter days more vile, I raise

This iron song against the creeping blight:

Moral Relativism, that serpent’s praise,

Which melts all truth to mist and calls it right.

“No absolute!” it hisses soft and sweet,

“What thou deem’st vice another holds as bloom;

Thy lust, thy greed, thy wrath—these are complete,

For every man his god, and every tomb

A door to self-made paradise.” Thus dies

The eternal Law, dissolved in vapid air,

While consciences, unanchored, fall and rise

On every fashionable, filthy stair.

Then Tolerance, that painted harlot, comes

In rainbow robes and voice of honeyed lies,

Proclaiming, “Judge not!” till the Church grows dumb

And opens wide her gates to every vice.

“Repentance wounds the soul,” the new priests cry;

“The Cross offends—make broad the narrow Way!”

They crown as sacred what the Scriptures name

Abomination, turning night to day,

Till heaven’s pure light and hell’s just fire seem

But equal shades in tolerance’s dream.

Behold the golden calf of Prosperity!

A gospel fat with promises of ease—

“Sow money, reap dominion, health, and glee;

Thy faith hath failed if suffering thou see.”

They nail the Man of Sorrows to a coin,

Make Calvary a marketplace of gain,

Trade thorns for crowns of plastic, and enjoin

The poor to “name it, claim it” in His name.

The blood that purchased pardon now is sold

For private jets and mansions built on sand;

They feast while Lazarus starves outside the fold,

And call their greed the touch of God’s own hand.

All Immorality now struts arrayed

In robes of “liberation,” bold and bright:

Lust hailed as love, pride as empowerment made,

Wrath as justice, sloth as self-care’s right.

A Christ remade who winks at every chain,

A Spirit soft as down, a Father mild

Who never thunders “Turn!” nor counts the slain

That slide in silken ease to darkness wild.

They preach a bloodless cross, a crownless King,

A gospel shorn of power to save or kill—

And bid the nations dance and clap and sing

While souls descend the broad and pleasant hill.

Yet hear the apostolic curse resound,

More fierce than Sinai’s thunder, sharp as flame:

Though Paul himself, or angel heaven-crowned,

Should preach another gospel in Christ’s name—

Anathema! Let him be damned, cut off,

Devoted to destruction’s holy ire!

Twice spoke the Apostle; twice I set it forth—

The gospel stands eternal, fixed, entire.

For am I now a servant seeking men’s applause,

Or God’s alone? Shall I please mortal breath

And lose the crown? Nay! Let the whole world pause

In outrage—still I cleave to living death

Of Calvary. One gospel, one sure blood,

One narrow gate, one Saviour, crucified,

Risen, returning. All the shifting flood

Of lies shall break against this Rock and die.

O Church of the last days, awake! Arise!

Cast off these bastard creeds that wear His name

Yet bear no scars. Cling to the truth that buys

With precious blood, not cars or fleeting fame.

Let every false apostle stand revealed,

Every gilded lie meet its appointed doom,

Till once again the ancient Word is sealed

In hearts that serve—not man—but Christ the Groom.

*Let him who has ears to hear, hear.*

Lament For The Wandering Flock by Debbie Harris

O grievous woe, when souls profess the Name
Yet chase the fleeting fashions of the age,
And know the lore of courts and poets’ fame
Far better than the Christ who calmed the rage
Of Galilee’s wild sea. What tragedy
When hearts, baptized in Jordan’s ancient stream,
Drink deeper from the wells of vanity
Than from the living Fount, the endless Theme
Of Heaven’s Lamb, whose wounds still bleed for thee.

The marble busts of Athens line their walls,
The verses of old Rome they can recite;
They trace the Renaissance in gilded halls
And quote the wits of Paris by firelight.
Yet scarce can name the Beatitudes’ pure light,
Or linger long where Golgotha once stood,
Or speak with trembling of that dreadful night
When Love Incarnate bowed His head for good
And cried, “Forgiven,” from the cursed wood.

This ought not be. The Shepherd calls His sheep
From Babel’s glittering towers and siren song;
He bids them leave the meadows where they creep
Among the tares, and where the world belongs.
Return, O ransomed ones, to Scripture’s page—
There burns the Bush that time cannot consume;
There walks the Word through every storm and age,
The Alpha and Omega, Sun and Tomb,
Whose knowledge is eternal life, not doom.

Awake, beloved! Let culture serve as slave,
Not master of the soul redeemed by grace.
Let every knee before the Cross be bowed,
And every tongue confess the Saviour’s face.
For what shall profit all the world’s applause
If, knowing much of men, we know not God?
O tragedy reversed when Christ is Cause—
The Pearl of greatest price, the living Word,
Our treasure, portion, joy, and great reward.

Every Morning a Fresh Gift: Falling Before the Lamb in Grateful Praise by Debbie Harris

Dear Precious Reader,

Every morning is a fresh gift — a beautiful reminder of the miracle of being born again and having the gift of a new day. This poem flows from my own heart as I wake each morning and fall to my knees in awe. I wanted to capture that sacred moment when we remember we are no longer who we once were. We are chosen, washed clean, and made brand new in Christ. Each dawn is God’s tender mercy saying, “I have given you new life… now go live it for My glory.”I pray these words stir fresh joy in your spirit. May you feel the wonder of your new birth in Jesus all over again. May every sunrise fill you with deep gratitude, renewed strength, and a burning desire to advance the Kingdom of our Lord.You are deeply loved. You are truly born again. And every new day is proof that His mercies never fail.

With a grateful heart and lifted hands,
Your fellow traveler in grace

Brief Summary of the Poem’s Form

This poem is composed in a lyrical, hymn-like style reminiscent of classical Christian devotional poetry. It employs iambic pentameter (five pairs of unstressed-stressed syllables per line) throughout, giving it a steady, song-like rhythm suitable for both reading and worship. The structure consists of four eight-line stanzas followed by a closing four-line stanza and a final rhyming couplet, creating a sense of building praise that culminates in a doxology. The rhyme scheme is primarily ABAB CDCD in the longer stanzas, with occasional slight variations for natural flow. This balanced, repeating form enhances the poem’s celebratory tone while maintaining accessibility and musicality, making it feel both timeless and intimate.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Psalm 118:24 (ESV)
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Each morning when the eyes first open wide,
A wave of holy joy floods through the soul—
One falls upon the knees with arms raised high,
“I am Your child, Lord Jesus—born again!”
No blinding light, no thunder from above,
Yet deep within there rings the victor’s call:
“You are My chosen, purchased by My blood,
Born again—death has lost its hold at all!”

O what a wonder! Every dawn a gift,
Fresh mercy poured from uncreated grace,
Another day to live, to love, to lift
The Kingdom of our risen Lord in every place.
Once dead in sin, now justified by faith,
Adopted child and co-heir with the Son—
The old man crucified, the new man raised,
Forever joined with Christ, the risen One.

Like morning sun that gilds the waking earth,
God’s goodness fills the heart with grateful fire.
One kneels in awe, in thanksgiving, and in mirth,
Once lost—but now alive with new desire!
With every breath a song of praise ascends,
With every heartbeat thanks and glory rise.
The Savior, Jesus Christ, the soul’s true Friend—
In Him we live, redeemed and born again!

Each dawn we fall before the holy name,
Overflowing with joy, with thanks, with flame—
To walk this day and further Christ’s great reign,
Advancing Kingdom light where darkness reigned.

Glory, glory to the Lamb who rose again,
My Lord, my God—forever praised, Amen.

Dear Precious Reader,

I wrote this poem straight from my heart to yours. In it, I invite you to walk with me through the whole earth, because every part of creation is shouting the glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.Look with me at the blazing dawn and the silent mountains lifting their heads like pulpits, proclaiming Christ as the eternal Light. See the meadows dressed in lilies and roses, each petal whispering of His thorn-crowned face and the free gift of His blood that washes every stain. Listen as the restless seas roar with thunderous anthems, yet carry the calm voice of Jesus saying “Peace, be still” to every storm-tossed heart. Walk with me through ancient forests where golden light falls like cathedral windows, and every leaf and branch speaks of resurrection and new life.Then lift your eyes to the starlit heavens, where the Milky Way and every constellation write His name across the cosmos. All of it—the stones, the stars, the waves, the flowers—bows before the Cross and the open tomb. Creation itself is preaching one clear message: Salvation is a gift, unearned and freely given through the Lamb once slain. It comes to us by faith alone in Jesus Christ, and in Him we receive His perfect righteousness.My prayer for you, dear reader, is simple: Receive this Gift of grace tonight. Let your soul rest in the redeeming light of our risen Lord.

With love and hope in Christ,

The whole earth is full of the glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
In blazing dawn where crimson banners fly,
The mountains lift their heads in silent praise;
Each sunlit peak a pulpit raised on high,
Proclaiming Christ, the Light of endless days.
Creation sings: “Behold the Lamb once slain—
His blood the free gift, washing every stain!”
The meadows bloom in tapestries of grace,
Where lilies white and roses crimson glow;
Each petal whispers of the Saviour’s face,
Who wore a crown of thorns that we might know
Salvation’s gift, unearned and freely given—
Eternal life for souls by sin once driven.
The restless seas in thunderous anthems roar,
Their waves like mercy rolling to the shore;
Yet in their depths the calm of Christ implores,
“Peace, be still”—the storm-tossed heart restored.
The ocean’s voice declares the wondrous story:
Redemption’s tide, the Lamb’s atoning glory.
Through ancient woods where golden light cascades,
And leaves in ruby fire dance on the breeze,
The forest cathedral in hushed wonder fades
Before the Cross that towers above the trees.
Each branch and bloom, in seasonal rebirth,
Echoes the Resurrection of the earth.
Above, the starlit vault in silence gleams,
A Milky Way of countless diamond fires;
Each constellation writes in cosmic beams
The name of Jesus, hope of all desires.
The heavens shout what mortal tongues confess:
“Salvation’s gift—through Christ, and Christ alone—
Freely received by faith, His righteousness!”
O Lord and Saviour, every stone and star,
Every wave and flower, Thy gospel tells;
Creation bows before the wounded Scar,
The open tomb where death and darkness fell.
The whole earth glows with Thy redeeming light—
Receive, O soul, His Gift of grace tonight!
Amen.

Complete in the Triumphant Fullness of Jesus Christ Our Lord by Debbie Harris

Colossians 2:9-10
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

This poem joyfully proclaims that every soul finds total completeness, wholeness, and victory in Jesus Christ our Lord. It depicts believers as fully restored and reigning in Him—lacking nothing—resting secure in His perfect fullness, righteousness, and triumph over every obstacle.

The poem is written in a majestic literary style using consistent iambic pentameter and an ABAB rhyme scheme across six quatrain stanzas. Its smooth rhythm, vivid imagery, and rising refrains create a powerful, celebratory flow that feels both elegant and uplifting, matching the triumphant message.

In Jesus Christ our Lord, the soul stands complete,
No fragment missing, no dominion of defeat;
The fullness of the Godhead bodily resides
Within the One through whom all grace abides.
The ransomed rise, made whole by crimson tide,
No longer chained by law or fleshly stride;
In Him they dwell, lacking no gift, no light—
Complete in Christ, the Everlasting Might.

Triumphant anthems thunder from the heights,
Where principalities before Him bow;
The broken find their shattered days made right,
And empty vessels overflow somehow.
No longer tossed on oceans wild and wide,
Nor haunted by the curse that once held sway,
They wear His righteousness, His peace their guide,
His wisdom lighting every shadowed way.

Majestic Victor, Lion and the Lamb,
Whose glory clothes the heavens and the deep,
The faithful rest secure within the I AM,
Co-heirs with Him who woke from death’s cold sleep.
The serpent’s head lies crushed beneath His heel,
Death’s iron gates swing open at His word;
The ransomed throng in robes of glory kneel,
Yet rise to reign with Christ, their risen Lord.

O mystery divine, O boundless grace,
That mortal clay in union should be filled
With heaven’s treasure, sealed in sacred place,
Where every striving soul is stilled and stilled.
No height, no depth, no power, nothing less
Can sever this completeness from their breast;
They lift their voices in triumphant dress—
Complete, complete in Jesus Christ our Lord confessed.

Let galaxies resound, let ages sing,
Let every tongue proclaim the Victor’s fame;
In Him they live, they move, their anthems ring—
Forever whole and holy is His name.
The battle won, the race forever run,
The joy begun that never shall grow dim:
All glory, honor, praise to God the Son—
Complete in Jesus Christ our Lord, in Him, in Him!

It is finished.

The final breath, the veil in two,
The ancient curse forever through.
No more the shadow, no more the chain—
The Lamb has conquered, the Lion has slain.

It is finished.

The debt is paid in crimson flood,
The grave is empty, the tomb is good.
What hell had stolen, heaven restores;
The King has risen—death is no more.

It is finished.

Glorious dawn breaks over the night,
Hope like a river, endless and bright.
Every promise, every word kept true,
The battle is won—beloved, for you.

It is finished.

Victorious thunder rolls through the skies,
The saints arise with jubilant cries.
No power can sever what grace has sealed;
In Christ alone, the victory is revealed.

It is finished—
and all is made new.
Hallelujah.
The story is true.

We come not as the condemned before the bar,
Where Justice wields her unrelenting scar;
No guilty hands hang limp in dark despair,
No downcast eyes await the sentence there.

But lo! we stand before the Throne of Grace,
Where Mercy shines upon the sinner’s face.
Why, then, O soul, this sadness veiled in night,
When Heaven’s King invites thee to His light?

If thou wert called to justice’ awful seat,
Thy trembling frame might justly fear defeat;
But now the Sovereign in His silken love,
Robed in compassion from His throne above,

Bids thee approach with joy, with sacred fire,
And let thy countenance in gladness shine entire.
No more the weight of sin thy spirit binds—
The blood of Christ has loosed all guilty chains.

Lift up thy head, let holy delight arise,
Let praise ascend as incense to the skies;
For thou art favored, called, and dearly known,
Before the King who claims thee as His own.

Rejoice, beloved, in this boundless grace,
And meet His gaze with unveiled, radiant face.
The Throne that once would strike now bids thee sing—
Draw near, O soul, and worship Christ the King.

Jesus Christ, the Living Light That Transforms the Soul by Debbie Harris

As the world grows darker still,
thread by thread the shadows weave,
yet Christ the Light of all the world
shines steady, pure, and unconquered.

No eclipse can quench His glow,
no tempest drown His gentle call;
He splits the night with mercy’s dawn
and lifts the weary, one and all.

Where fear would dim the human heart,
His radiance finds the hidden seam—
a single spark of holy flame
that turns the darkness into dawn.

When humble repentance whispers low
and faith unbars the iron door,
salvation pours like golden dawn
across the soul’s storm-battered shore.
The heart once cloaked in midnight’s shroud
now burns with heaven’s living fire—
a fountain of eternal water
where hope becomes not self, but Christ —
His glory shining in the Cross.
In Jesus’ gaze, the eyes of grace
transform each view from dread to gold;
what once seemed loss now blooms in grace,
and every pathway leads toward home.

So let the gloom do what it will,
the Light has already overcome;
in Him we rise, in Him we stand,
till every knee and shadow bows to Him.

The Lord Reigneth: Let the Earth Rejoice in His Unshaken Throne by Debbie Harris

(Inspired by Psalm 93:1–4; 97:1)

The Lord reigneth! Let storms rage on and roar,
The floods rise high with thunder in their might—
Their crashing waves pound loud upon the shore,
A wild and furious noise that shakes the night.

They lift their voice in chaos, fierce and deep,
The thunder of the waters fills the air,
Yet high above, where endless glories keep,
The Lord is stronger—calm beyond compare.

No roar of mighty seas can shake His throne,
No pounding waves can drown His holy word;
The noise that once would leave the heart alone
Grows still before the power of the Lord.

O weary soul, when troubles crash and cry,
When fears like breakers break upon your shore,
Lift up your voice and let this truth reply:
The Lord reigneth—peace forevermore!

Let earth be glad, let trembling hearts find song,
For He who rules is Love, forever true;
Amid the roar, His reign remains so strong—
Rejoice, be glad: the Lord reigneth in you!
