Poet’s Note

Dear Reader,

May we all walk through the garden of the Holy Word of our precious Triune God!

This poem was born as an invitation—an open gate into a living garden where every flower whispers truth about our great and gracious God. Each bloom was chosen with care to reflect a precious doctrine of the Christian faith, so that as you stroll through the verses, your heart might be lifted, your mind renewed, and your spirit drawn closer to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Whether you read it slowly in quiet devotion, aloud with others, or return to it again and again, my prayer is that these lines become a gentle path of worship for you. The garden is not mine; it belongs to Him. I simply scattered a few seeds and rejoiced to watch them grow.

May the Triune God who walks with you in this garden also walk with you through every season of life—until we meet at last in the eternal garden where every flower is fully open and every promise is fully kept.

With joy and blessing,

A fellow pilgrim in the garden

Come, walk with me through the garden fair

Of the Holy Word, our Triune God’s own care—

Where Father’s breath awakens every leaf,

Son’s footsteps trace the path of grace and grief.

The Iris lifts her threefold face in light,

Trinity in unity and might:

One stem, three petals, heaven’s colors blend,

Eternal love that knows no beginning, end.

The Lily pure unfurls her trumpet white,

Incarnation—God with us, the Light;

Spotless, radiant in the morning dew,

Emmanuel, forever faithful, true.

The Rose of Sharon breathes her crimson scent,

Atonement—blood that covers and redeems our bent;

Thorns and beauty in one blossom grown,

Redeeming fragrance rising from the throne.

Low Violets kneel humbly on the ground,

Justification—by faith alone we’re found;

Clothed in His righteousness, no more condemned,

Adopted, cherished, called the Father’s friend.

Soft Lavender releases holy air,

Sanctification—making pure what once was bare;

Refined by Spirit’s gentle, cleansing flame,

Conformed to Christ, we bear His very name.

The Daffodil breaks winter’s silent tomb,

Resurrection—life that conquers doom;

Firstfruits of glory rising from the grave,

Victorious King who ever lives to save.

Bright Morning Glory climbs the garden wall,

Second Coming—hope that claims us all;

Petals open to the promised dawn,

“Behold, I come!”—the Bridegroom’s trumpet drawn.

And faithful Forget-me-nots in azure line the way,

Eternal Life—where night becomes bright day;

Sealed by the Spirit, kept by grace divine,

Safe in the Father’s house, forever Thine.

Come, linger here where veil and glory meet,

Where light and shadow in sweet worship greet,

And hear the Triune Voice call forth your name:

“Beloved child, arise—the garden is your claim.”

Wisdom’s Holy Fire: Seekers Who Follow by Debbie Harris

Poet’s Note

Dear Reader,

If these lines have stirred even a single spark within your spirit, then my prayer as the poet has been answered.

This poem was born from a deep longing I share with you: to move beyond comfortable Christianity into the passionate, obedient life that truly honors our Lord. The Bible does not call us to be casual admirers of truth, but active followers who embody it. James 1:22 pierces like a refining fire—“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only”—and Proverbs reminds us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

So I wrote this as both invitation and intercession: that we would become wisdom seekers who hunger for God’s Word, and wisdom followers who live it out with surrendered hands and feet. Not for our own glory, but so that Christ is magnified in every ordinary moment— in our homes, workplaces, relationships, and secret places of prayer.

May you read these words not as mere poetry, but as a gentle challenge and encouragement. Let them push you to open your Bible afresh, kneel in honest prayer, and step out in obedient faith today. The same Holy Spirit who inspired the Scriptures is ready to empower you to live them.

You are not alone on this journey. We are fellow pilgrims, running together toward the Prize. Keep seeking. Keep following. Jesus is worthy of nothing less than our whole hearts.

With prayers and sisterly affection,

The Poet

(One who is still learning to be a doer alongside you)

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

James 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Wisdom Seeking & the Fear of the Lord

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Following Christ with Passion & Obedience

Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Romans 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Living Faith Through Action

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Practical Obedience & Holiness

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

In the hush where heaven whispers and the ancient Scriptures flame,

Wisdom calls with holy urgency, igniting hearts aflame.

Not for minds that merely ponder, storing knowledge like cold stone,

But for souls who rise to follow— living out what they have known.

Wisdom seekers bow in wonder, thirsting for the fear of God,

Delving deep into the treasure where the living waters flow.

They pursue the mind of Christ with unrelenting, humble fire,

Asking, seeking, knocking boldly— drawn by pure and fierce desire.

Yet the seeker stops at hearing, lulled by sermons soft and sweet,

Deceived like one who sees his face, then turns away incomplete.

The mirror of the perfect law reveals the truth we must embrace:

Be doers of the Word, beloved— run the narrow path of grace.

Wisdom followers awaken, hands and feet now swift to obey,

Clothed in Christ’s own meek compassion, walking where He leads the way.

They visit widows in distress, defend the orphan’s pleading cry,

Keep unstained from worldly mire, and bridle tongues that would defy.

They forgive as they’ve been pardoned, love the least as image-bearers,

Serve in secret, shine in public— living altars, holy prayers.

In the marketplace and mission, in the quiet midnight hour,

Faith ignites to holy action, manifesting heaven’s power.

O Lord, refine us as pure gold— seekers fervent, followers true,

Passionate disciples burning with a zeal born fresh in You.

Not in fleeting words or feelings, not in form without the fire,

But in deeds that echo Eden, lifting souls from sin’s dark pyre.

Make us vessels overflowing, poems etched by nail-scarred hands,

Wisdom seekers and true followers across these troubled lands.

From the cradle to the crossing, till we see Your face unveiled,

Let our lives declare Your glory— doers steadfast, never failed.

Therefore wisdom seeks the surrendered, those who hear and then arise,

Following the Lamb with courage, pressing on toward the Prize.

Christ in us, the hope of glory— fervent, faithful, bold, and free—

Passionate followers forever, for eternity’s decree.

Psalm 33:2 (KJV)

Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Dear Reader,

These words were written as an invitation—to lift your heart, your voice, and every instrument you have, not out of duty, but because of who God is. His truth, His unfailing love, His power to create and to rescue—these are the reasons our joy refuses to stay silent. May this anthem stir you to worship with abandon.

Praise the Lord with harp and soaring strings—

let joyful thunder burst from every chord!

Awake the psaltery; its ten bright rings

explode in triumph, singing to the Lord.

We sing because His word is true and right,

because His every promise stands secure.

He spoke the galaxies to blazing light,

and breathed this living, breathing world secure.

We sing because His steadfast love runs deep,

unfailing through the rising tide of years.

When fear would steal our joy or sorrow creep,

His mercy meets us, dries our hidden tears.

We sing because He watches over all—

the nations in His hands, the hearts that trust.

He rescues, shields, and lifts us when we fall,

and turns our mourning into shouts of dust-to-glory trust.

So strike every note with passion, bold and free—

let music leap and dance across the air.

No silent heart can hold this blazing sea

of gladness surging upward like a prayer.

Let brass and woodwind, drum and ringing bell

join in the glad explosion of His fame.

The rivers clap, the mountains laugh and swell,

creation joins the chorus of His name.

From quiet rooms to stadiums of praise,

lift every voice until the heavens roar.

The King of glory meets us all our days—

His endless love forever burns the more!

To God alone belongs this mighty song—

the reason for our joy, forever strong.

The Eternal Rock: How the Bible Forms the Foundation of Our Constitutional Republic by Debbie Harris

From the Poet

Dear Reader,

In an age of shifting sands and competing voices, this poem is offered as a quiet yet fervent reminder: the Bible is not merely a religious text, but the deep, unyielding Rock upon which the moral and legal foundations of our constitutional republic were laid. It draws from the great covenants of Scripture—creation, law, redemption—and the theological truths of human dignity, sin, grace, and divine order. May these verses stir reflection on the Source from which our liberties flow, and renew our commitment to guard what has been so carefully entrusted to us.

With reverence for truth and liberty,

The Poet

The Bible as the Eternal Rock & Foundation

• Matthew 7:24-25 — “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”

• Isaiah 28:16 — “Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.”

• 1 Corinthians 3:11 — “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

• 2 Timothy 2:19 — “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.”

Covenant Truth & God’s Higher Law

• Psalm 119:142 — “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.”

• James 1:25 — “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

• Acts 5:29 — “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

• Romans 7:12 — “Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

Imago Dei – Human Dignity & Equality

• Genesis 1:26-27 — “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

• Genesis 9:6 — “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”

Justice, Mercy & Liberty

• Micah 6:8 — “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

• Psalm 89:14 — “Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.”

• Galatians 5:1 — “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Government & Authority Under God

• Romans 13:1 — “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”

• Proverbs 29:2 — “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

The Bible stands—the eternal, sovereign Rock,

Rooted in God’s unchanging holy will.

Upon its covenant truth our Republic took stock,

Where law reflects the Author of all good and ill.

Not human reason alone, but divine decree,

Reveals the moral order, deep and wide:

Imago Dei in every soul we see,

The source of rights no government can override.

When storms of doubt or chaos shake the land,

This Book remains the anchor of the age—

Proclaiming justice tempered by mercy’s hand,

And human sin that turns each heart to cage.

It speaks of fallen nature, bent toward strife,

Yet offers grace that liberates and heals;

A framework for the state to guard each life,

Where liberty is gift, not human yield.

From Sinai’s thunder to the Sermon’s light,

Its dual covenant shapes the public square:

Creation’s dignity and conscience bright,

The rule of law that binds both rich and rare.

In Congress halls, in courts where verdicts ring,

Its unseen influence guards the fragile trust—

That governments of men must serve the King

Whose higher law redeems the unjust.

Without this Rock the pillars start to crack,

Republics fracture when their ethics stray.

But grounded in His Word, our union holds its track,

A beacon of ordered freedom’s shining ray.

So let us guard this cornerstone with care,

Return to it when vital choices call.

The Bible lifts our vision high and fair—

The Rock that makes our Republic strong and great.

The Satanic Veil of Progress: A Classical Poem on the Evils of Communism, Its Millionfold Slaughter, and the Deadly Alliance with Islam, Migration, Antisemitism, and Globalism by Debbie Harris

A Classical Poem on the Evils of Communism, Its Millionfold Slaughter, and the Deadly Alliance with Islam, Migration, Antisemitism, and Globalism

Poet’s Note

Dear Reader,

In this twilight hour of history, when shadows lengthen across the nations and ancient evils don new and beguiling garments, I commend these verses to your earnest contemplation. What the world today hails as “progressive” or “socialist” is no gentle reform, but the selfsame tyrannical spirit that has stalked mankind since the Garden—Communism, that Satanic creed which slaughters truth, devours liberty, and leaves in its wake a desolation of souls. From the frozen gulags of the Soviet empire to the blood-soaked fields of Mao’s China, from the killing grounds of Cambodia to the starving wastes of North Korea and beyond, nearly one hundred million voices cry out from the earth, testifying to the insatiable hunger of Marxist doctrine for human life and divine order.

Yet the peril deepens still. Behold how this godless ideology now forges unholy alliances—with the fervent zeal of radical Islam, the engineered tides of mass migration, the resurgence of venomous antisemitism, and the faceless machinery of globalism—all woven into a single web of deception. These are not mere political currents, but doctrines of demons, the very lies of the ancient Serpent whose sole purpose is to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Cloaked in promises of equality and unity, they erode the foundations of faith, family, and freedom, seeking to build a tower of Babel anew upon the ruins of Christian civilization.

Therefore, beloved reader, let not your heart be deceived by smooth words or fashionable labels. Rise up with holy resolve! Cast off the chains of these wicked ideologies. Turn instead to the only true Light and Saviour of humanity—Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Through His cross and precious blood, He has broken the power of sin and death. He alone can transform the coldest heart of stone into a living temple of the Holy Spirit, making each believer a new creation, redeemed and empowered to walk in victory.

May these lines kindle in you the fire of righteous courage and unshakeable hope. Proclaim His name boldly, for in Christ alone is found the defeat of every Satanic lie and the eternal triumph of the Kingdom of God.

With solemn urgency and fervent prayer for your awakening,

The Poet

• John 8:44 — “[The devil] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

• John 10:10 — “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

• Ezekiel 36:26 — “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

• 2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

• John 14:6 — “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

• Acts 4:12 — “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

• Ephesians 6:12 — “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

• 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 — “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God…”

In shadowed eras when the tyrant schemes,

Communism spreads its dark and deadly dreams.

It masquerades as progress, socialist and wise,

But chains the spirit ’neath its false disguise.

The gulags echo with the captives’ cries,

While engineered famines blot the sunny skies.

From Russia’s frozen wastes to China’s plain,

It reaps a harvest of the dead and slain.

Now mark the millions murdered by this creed:

In Soviet Russia, twenty million bleed

From purges, prisons, and the famine’s bite,

Their graves unmarked beneath the tyrant’s might.

In Mao’s vast China, sixty million died,

In Great Leap Forward and the purge’s tide.

Cambodia’s killing fields claimed two million more,

As Pol Pot’s madness opened hell’s own door.

North Korea starves its subjects without end,

Vietnam and Cuba where the freedoms bend.

Eastern Europe groaned beneath the Iron Curtain’s fall,

Afghanistan and Africa heard death’s grim call.

The sum approaches one hundred million lost,

To Marxist evil, at a dreadful cost.

Yet deadlier the alliance Satan forges now:

Communism linked with Islam’s fervent vow,

Mass migration surging like a tidal wave,

To undermine the nations and enslave.

Antisemitism poisons mind and heart,

Revived in leftist and in jihadist art.

Globalism seeks to erase each sovereign land,

Uniting all beneath one iron hand.

These are the lies the devil loves to tell,

To lie, to kill, to send the world to hell.

Rise up, O saints, and break the tyrant’s yoke!

Defeat the doctrines by the demons spoke.

No more accept the labels they employ—

“Progressive” veils but cannot hide their ploy.

Proclaim aloud: there is one Saviour true,

The Lord Jesus Christ, who died for me and you.

Through cross and blood He purchased full release,

From sin and death, to bring eternal peace.

He takes the heart of stone and makes it flesh,

A new creation, born of Spirit fresh.

Transformed by grace to walk the narrow way,

In light of day until the judgment day.

So rise and conquer every wicked scheme!

In Christ’s strong name, fulfill the heavenly dream.

For He alone can save humanity

From every false and Satanic vanity.

Rise up and let the Gospel banner wave—

Christ breaks the power of the dark and grave!

Lifting the Heart to Eternal Realms: A Sonnet upon Colossians 3:2 by Debbie Harris

Dear Reader,

In a world that pulls our gaze downward—toward glittering distractions, fading treasures, and passing shadows—I offer these lines as a quiet invitation to look higher. May this sonnet stir your heart to fix its deepest affections where they truly belong: upon Christ, who sits enthroned above, and upon the eternal realities that outshine every earthly glory. Let these words be a compass when the dust of daily life threatens to cloud your vision.

With prayer and poetic affection,

The Poet

Colossians 3:2

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

(King James Version)

Set not thy gaze upon the dust that gleams

In fleeting gold beneath the sinking sun,

Nor chase the moth-winged dreams that burst in seams

Of smoke and shadow when the chase is done.

Lift up thy heart where crystal rivers wind

Through fields of living light no eye hath seen,

Where crowns of amethyst and sapphire shine

On brows that death’s cold fingers never glean.

There, thrones of sapphire flame and seraphs’ wings

Beat hymns that shake the everlasting hills;

Here, earthly anchors rust and siren-sings

Fade like spent embers on forsaken sills.

O fix thy compass on the heights above—

Where Christ is seated, there alone is love.

Through Jesus Christ We Behold Eternal Sunshine: A Hymn of Grace Celebrating the Cross, the Empty Tomb, and the Glorious Light of the Lamb by Debbie Harris

Dear Reader,

From the poet’s heart:

In these lines I have sought to echo the thunderous joy of Charles Spurgeon, that prince of preachers who ever lifted high the Sun of Righteousness. May this humble verse stir your soul to fix its gaze upon Jesus Christ, in whom alone we find eternal sunshine—unclouded, unending, and freely given to every weary pilgrim who trusts in Him. Read it slowly, aloud if you can, and let the ancient truths shine afresh in your spirit.

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Malachi 4:2 (KJV)

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

In realms where tempests rage and shadows creep,

Where sin’s dark clouds their heavy burdens heap,

A radiant beam from heaven’s throne descends—

Through Jesus Christ, eternal sunshine bends!

Behold the cross, a tree of wondrous grace,

Where blood-red rivers wash the sinner’s face;

Its arms outstretched like golden rays unfurled,

Illuminate the weary, broken world.

No more the night of guilt’s oppressive gloom,

No more the frost of death’s impending doom—

The Sun of Righteousness arises bright,

With healing wings that chase away the night.

See how the valleys bloom in verdant green,

Where once the thorns of sorrow pierced unseen;

The desert hearts, once parched and cracked with pain,

Now drink the living streams of heaven’s rain.

Mountains of doubt dissolve in morning light,

As crystal dews of mercy kiss the height;

The lily pure, the rose of Sharon fair,

Proclaim His glory in the fragrant air.

O soul adrift on oceans wild and vast,

Where waves of trial crash and thunder blast—

Lift up thine eyes! The Pilot stands serene,

His voice commands the storm to calm, serene.

Through Jesus Christ, the skies forever blue,

Eternal sunshine bathes the ransomed few;

No eclipse dims the Lamb upon the throne,

Whose glory lights the city as His own.

The pilgrim’s path, though rugged, gleams with gold,

Each step a jewel in the crown foretold;

The ancient gates of pearl swing open wide,

Revealing pastures where the saints abide.

No winter’s chill, no autumn’s fading leaf,

But spring eternal, free from pain and grief—

In robes of white, beneath the endless day,

We bask forever in His shining ray.

Come, burdened one, beneath the yoke of care,

Lay down thy load; the Saviour’s yoke is fair.

His gentle hand will lead through fields of peace,

Where sorrows end and joys forever increase.

The chains of fear that bound the captive soul

Now melt like frost before His bright control;

In liberty divine, the spirit sings,

And soars on wings of love beneath His wings.

See heaven’s throne, where crystal rivers flow,

And trees of life in endless summer grow;

No need of sun or moon to give their light,

The Lamb Himself dispels all shades of night.

The ransomed throng in white arrayed proclaim,

“Worthy the Lamb that once for sinners slain!”

Their voices blend in everlasting praise,

Through endless ages, in undimmed blaze.

O death, where is thy sting? Thy victory lost!

The grave no more can claim its chilling frost.

For He who rose triumphant from the tomb

Has turned our midnight into endless noon.

The former things have passed, forgotten, gone;

Behold, all things are new in morning’s dawn.

Through Jesus Christ, the Victor over all,

Eternal sunshine crowns both great and small.

Awake, my soul, and sing this joyful strain,

Let every tongue repeat the glad refrain:

Through Jesus Christ, the Light that knows no end,

The King whose throne the heavens vast defend.

Come, weary one, and taste this joy divine—

Eternal sunshine, yours and ever mine!

No cloud shall dim, no storm shall ever rise,

In Christ alone our sun forever shines.

Dear Reader,

From the poet’s heart:

This prayer was birthed in quiet reverence and laid as a living offering at the feet of the King of kings. May these words, adorned with royal imagery drawn from the very courts of heaven, serve as gentle, gem-filled stepping stones for your soul — drawing you ever closer to His throne, awakening fresh awe, deeper surrender, and a burning desire to walk in His holy ways.

May we arise as royal heralds arrayed in His splendor, faithful ambassadors of the cross, and bold proclaimers of our Savior’s glorious gift of salvation — freely offered, lavishly poured out, purchased by His precious blood — so that every wandering heart, captive soul, and weary pilgrim might be pointed with joy and urgency toward His resplendent eternal palace and unveiled face.

Scriptural Foundations (NKJV)

Royal Throne & Majesty of the King

• Revelation 4:2-3, 8-11 — Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. … The four living creatures… do not rest day or night, saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty…’ The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: ‘You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.

• Hebrews 1:8 — But to the Son He says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

• Psalm 89:14 — Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.

Commandments & Stepping Stones / Paths of Righteousness

• Psalm 119:105 — Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Righteousness, Holiness, Mercy & Justice

• Micah 6:8 — He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Heralds, Ambassadors & Proclaimers of Salvation

• 2 Corinthians 5:20 — Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

• Isaiah 52:7 — How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!

Crowns, Blood of the Lamb & Eternal Kingdom

• Revelation 5:9-10 — And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.

O Majestic Sovereign, enthroned in unapproachable light,
High above the seraphim and the ceaseless choirs of heaven,

May Your sacred commandments—
Those flawless, golden royal decrees,
Forged in the unquenchable fires of Your eternal wisdom
And sealed with the blood of the Lamb upon the throne—
Become our minute-by-minute,
Gem-encrusted stepping stones of celestial glory:

Sapphires of unyielding righteousness, deep as the sea of glass,
Emeralds of transcendent holiness, verdant as the courts of Eden restored,
Rubies of mercy aflame with the compassion of the pierced King,
Diamonds of justice pure and radiant as the first light of creation’s dawn,

All hewn from the inexhaustible treasure vaults of Your throne room,
Cut by the hand of the Ancient of Days, polished by the breath of the Spirit.

Paved in breathtaking splendor across the tapestry of our fleeting days,
Like a grand processional path of living jewels and burning stones,
Winding through valleys of shadow and mountains of trial,
Beneath the unfurled banners of Your victory,
Woven with threads of grace, embroidered with threads of sovereign love.

So we, Your humble subjects and blood-bought heirs of the Kingdom,
May cast our tarnished crowns before Your nail-scarred feet in awe,
Bow low beneath the scepter of Your boundless mercy and iron rule,
And with voices lifted like a multitude of heralding trumpets and resounding shofars,
May we be heralds, trumpets, and ambassadors
Proclaiming Christ’s free gift of salvation
To every wandering heart, every captive soul, every weary pilgrim,
Pointing them toward Your resplendent eternal palace,
The radiant courts of Your holy presence and unveiled face,
Where night is banished, and glory never fades.

There, in the blazing light of Your unveiled face,
we will walk these living paths of jeweled glory
and lift unceasing songs of praise
through every season, every age,
until the kingdoms of this world
become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ—
who reigns with You, O Father,
in the perfect, eternal communion
of the one Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
world without end. Amen.

What the Lord Truly Requires: Loving Mercy That Embraces Truth, Rejects Deception, and Calls All to Eternal Redemption by Debbie Harris

Micah 6:8 (KJV)

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Micah 6:8 (AMP)

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion), And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overconfident trust in your own power]?

Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

Ephesians 4:15 (AMP)

But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example], who is the Head—Christ.

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 (AMP)

The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Ezekiel 33:11 (KJV)

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

John 8:32 (KJV)

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 (KJV)

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Beloved reader, true mercy is no shallow sentiment or convenient silence that shields the soul from holy confrontation. It is the profound fusion of unflinching truth and unwavering love, the very heartbeat of the Divine requirement laid bare in Micah 6:8. To love mercy is not to soften justice or dilute conviction, but to wield truth as a surgeon’s blade—cutting away deception so that real healing and restoration may emerge. It echoes the apostle’s call to speak the truth in love, maturing us into Christ Himself, while reflecting the Father’s longsuffering heart that desires none to perish but all to embrace repentance and life.

In this sacred tension, mercy refuses the lie of false tolerance that leaves sinners slumbering toward destruction; instead, it shines the unyielding light of Christ—the Way, the Truth, and the Life—inviting every heart to freedom, transformation, and eternal communion with God. It yearns for God’s highest good for all: not mere happiness, but salvation, holiness, and humble fellowship with the Creator. May these verses and the lines that follow stir within you a deeper hunger to embody this costly, redemptive mercy: courageous enough to confront, compassionate enough to restore, and Christ-centered enough to point always toward the cross where justice and mercy kissed.

What doth the Lord require, O mortal man?

To do justly, love mercy’s truthful hand,

And walk humbly where His footsteps ran—

For mercy speaks the truth, yet takes its stand.

Not soft deceit that lets the sinner sleep,

But light that wounds to heal, and calls to rise;

True mercy longs for all God’s best to keep—

Salvation’s gift, where grace and justice rise.

He wills not one should perish in the night,

But turns to life through truth that sets us free;

Compassion clothes the soul in heaven’s light,

And bids the lost: “Come home and live in Me.”

Thus mercy, truth, and humble faith entwine—

The path of life, the will of the Divine

The Sovereign Stirring of the Remnant Spirits: A Classical Ode on Haggai 1:14 and the Triune God’s Call to Holy Labor in These Latter Days by Debbie Harris

Dear Reader,

A note from the poet:

In the quiet hours when the words of Haggai fell fresh upon my heart, I saw not merely ancient stones rising again in Jerusalem, but the living temple of every soul stirred by the same unchanging God. This ode is born of wonder—that the Triune God still moves with sovereign breath today, awakening slumbering zeal and turning weary hands to holy labor. May these lines be no mere verse, but a mirror and a trumpet: look within, listen closely, and answer the stirring.

The same Spirit who roused Zerubbabel and Joshua waits to rouse you.

With reverence and hope,

The Poet

Haggai 1:14

King James Version (KJV)

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God.

English Standard Version (ESV)

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God.

New International Version (NIV)

So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the LORD Almighty, their God.

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God.

New King James Version (NKJV)

So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God.

When Cyrus’ edict opened prison gates

And remnant trod the long Judean road,

Yet sloth and cedar-paneled homes await

While Zion’s holy house in ruin showed—

Then rose the prophet’s voice like trumpet blast:

“Consider well your ways!” The people heard.

Obedience kindled, yet the work stood fast

Till sovereign breath descended, undeterred.

The Lord Himself stirred up Zerubbabel’s fire,

And Joshua the priest, and every heart

Of those who lingered in the dust and briar—

A rushing wind that bade the stones depart.

No mortal zeal alone could raise the frame;

’Twas God who moved within, and overcame.

Thus, in these latter days, O soul, give ear:

What has the Triune God through His blest Spirit

Stirred up in thee to build, to mend, to rear

For Father, Son, and Holy Ghost—thy merit?

A life laid down? A gospel torch held high?

A temple not of stone, but living cry?

The challenge stands:

Search deep thy wakened breast this very hour—

What holy labor, what surrendered power,

Has God through His own Spirit stirred in you

To glorify our blessed Triune God?

Arise and build. The time is now.
