Dear Reader,

From the poet’s heart:

This prayer was birthed in quiet reverence and laid as a living offering at the feet of the King of kings. May these words, adorned with royal imagery drawn from the very courts of heaven, serve as gentle, gem-filled stepping stones for your soul — drawing you ever closer to His throne, awakening fresh awe, deeper surrender, and a burning desire to walk in His holy ways.

May we arise as royal heralds arrayed in His splendor, faithful ambassadors of the cross, and bold proclaimers of our Savior’s glorious gift of salvation — freely offered, lavishly poured out, purchased by His precious blood — so that every wandering heart, captive soul, and weary pilgrim might be pointed with joy and urgency toward His resplendent eternal palace and unveiled face.

Scriptural Foundations (NKJV)

Royal Throne & Majesty of the King

• Revelation 4:2-3, 8-11 — Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. … The four living creatures… do not rest day or night, saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty…’ The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: ‘You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.

• Hebrews 1:8 — But to the Son He says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

• Psalm 89:14 — Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.

Commandments & Stepping Stones / Paths of Righteousness

• Psalm 119:105 — Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Righteousness, Holiness, Mercy & Justice

• Micah 6:8 — He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Heralds, Ambassadors & Proclaimers of Salvation

• 2 Corinthians 5:20 — Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

• Isaiah 52:7 — How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!

Crowns, Blood of the Lamb & Eternal Kingdom

• Revelation 5:9-10 — And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.

O Majestic Sovereign, enthroned in unapproachable light,
High above the seraphim and the ceaseless choirs of heaven,

May Your sacred commandments—
Those flawless, golden royal decrees,
Forged in the unquenchable fires of Your eternal wisdom
And sealed with the blood of the Lamb upon the throne—
Become our minute-by-minute,
Gem-encrusted stepping stones of celestial glory:

Sapphires of unyielding righteousness, deep as the sea of glass,
Emeralds of transcendent holiness, verdant as the courts of Eden restored,
Rubies of mercy aflame with the compassion of the pierced King,
Diamonds of justice pure and radiant as the first light of creation’s dawn,

All hewn from the inexhaustible treasure vaults of Your throne room,
Cut by the hand of the Ancient of Days, polished by the breath of the Spirit.

Paved in breathtaking splendor across the tapestry of our fleeting days,
Like a grand processional path of living jewels and burning stones,
Winding through valleys of shadow and mountains of trial,
Beneath the unfurled banners of Your victory,
Woven with threads of grace, embroidered with threads of sovereign love.

So we, Your humble subjects and blood-bought heirs of the Kingdom,
May cast our tarnished crowns before Your nail-scarred feet in awe,
Bow low beneath the scepter of Your boundless mercy and iron rule,
And with voices lifted like a multitude of heralding trumpets and resounding shofars,
May we be heralds, trumpets, and ambassadors
Proclaiming Christ’s free gift of salvation
To every wandering heart, every captive soul, every weary pilgrim,
Pointing them toward Your resplendent eternal palace,
The radiant courts of Your holy presence and unveiled face,
Where night is banished, and glory never fades.

There, in the blazing light of Your unveiled face,
we will walk these living paths of jeweled glory
and lift unceasing songs of praise
through every season, every age,
until the kingdoms of this world
become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ—
who reigns with You, O Father,
in the perfect, eternal communion
of the one Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
world without end. Amen.

The Clarion Call to Every Soul: We Must Proclaim Truth Boldly in the Public Square – Salvation by Grace Alone Through Christ by Debbie Harris

Dear Reader,

In these shadowed and restless days, when the public square has become a marketplace of glittering lies and the ancient pillars of truth are bartered for the cheap coin of comfort and applause, I offer this rhyme not as mere ornament for the ear, nor as idle verse for the scholar’s shelf, but as a clarion trumpet-call echoing the voices of prophets and apostles long departed.

We stand at the crossroads of eternity. The spirit of this age whispers compromise and silences the bold, yet the Word of the living God thunders still: we are not called to murmur salvation in secret chambers, but to proclaim it unashamedly upon the housetops and in the thoroughfares of men. For every idle word, every withheld witness, and every courageous declaration shall be weighed in the balances of divine justice. The books shall be opened; the Great Assize shall convene; and no soul shall escape the reckoning of what it did with the blood-bought truth of Calvary.

May these measured lines kindle within your breast a holy fire that consumes timidity, sharpen your tongue with the double-edged sword of Scripture, and arm your heart with the unyielding courage of the redeemed. Let them remind you that grace is not cheap, nor is the cross a relic of the past—it is the blazing standard under which we must yet contend for the faith once delivered to the saints.

Go forth, then, not in your own strength, but in the power of the Spirit, lifting high the name above every name while time and mercy still linger.

In solemn service to the King of kings,

The Poet

• Matthew 10:27 — “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.”

• Romans 1:16 — “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…”

• Acts 4:12 — “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

• Ephesians 2:8-9 — For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

• 2 Corinthians 5:10 — For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

• Revelation 20:12 — And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life…

In public squares where nations throng and gaze,

We must proclaim the truth with trumpet clear;

No shadowed fear, no compromise or haze,

But blazing light for every listening ear.

For every soul shall kneel before the Throne,

Accounted for the seed of word or silence sown;

When heaven’s books are opened and made known,

The Judge demands what reaping we have grown.

The ultimate Truth resounds through time’s long hall:

Salvation flows through Jesus Christ our Lord—

Not human striving, not works however tall,

But sovereign grace by His own wounds outpoured.

So raise the cross where busy crowds collide,

Declare redemption’s anthem far and wide!

Swallowed and Transfigured: The Contemplative Act Whereby Ezekiel Partook of the Scroll of Woe and Discovered the Hidden Sweetness of Union with the Divine Will by Debbie Harris

No parchment leaf to skim with careless eye,
Nor volume shut upon the scholar’s shelf:
The hand of flame extends, and bids me try
The bitter text, to make it bone and self.

“Eat,” the voice commands, no gentle word,
“Fill belly deep with lamentation’s scroll;
Mourning and woe inscribed on every side—
Devour it whole.”

I opened mouth, and lo, the roll was laid
Upon my tongue, a weight of darkened ink;
Yet as I chewed the judgments God had made,
Sweet honey flowed where gall might make me shrink.

O paradox of grace! The heart’s own bread
Is judgment first, then sweetness in the vein;
Till man becomes the message he has read,
And speaks what burns, yet satisfies again.

Not hearers only, nor debaters vain,
But vessels filled, who bear the living sting—
The Word must lodge where blood and marrow reign,
Or else the prophet’s mouth is but a ring.

Thus eat, O soul, and let the honey stay,
Though sorrow sour the stomach in its course;
For truth, once swallowed, cannot fade away—
It shapes the man, and is itself the source.

Classical Rhyme:Neglect Not So Great a Salvation: The Urgent Invitation Before Time Closes and Judgment Opens by Debbie Harris

This reflective spiritual poem, written in classical ABAB rhyme, meditates on the fragility of human life likened to a vanishing vapor (James 4:14). It portrays God’s persistent, gentle call—often a still small voice—that summons every heart to salvation, yet warns how easily that call is ignored through procrastination, distraction, or love of worldly comfort. Drawing from the rich young ruler’s sorrowful departure, the peril of gaining the world while losing one’s soul, and the biblical urgency of “now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2), the poem pleads against the quiet tragedy of neglect. It contrasts temporary earthly pleasures with the unshakable abundance of eternal life, emphasizing that mercy stands open today, but the door of opportunity will one day close—not from lack of God’s love, but from the end of time itself. The tone is both sobering and hopeful, urging immediate surrender to the Savior’s rescue before the fleeting breath expires and eternity’s irreversible reality begins.

Life is a mist that rises at the dawn,
A breath, a gleam, then vanishes from sight;
Yet in its fleeting span the heart is drawn
By still small voice that pierces through the night.

The call comes soft, not thunder, not with flame,
But mercy’s tug when silence wraps the soul;
Many are summoned, yet so few the same
Will yield and let the Savior make them whole.

The rich one stood before the Lord of grace,
His treasures gleaming brighter than the call;
He turned away, sorrow upon his face,
Chose fleeting gold and let redemption fall.

What profit lies in worlds of wealth and fame
If, gaining all, the soul itself is lost?
The heart grows dull, ignores the sacred name,
And silence settles where conviction crossed.

Behold, now is the day, the hour is here—
Not tomorrow’s promise, vague and far away;
Neglect is not rebellion, yet the fear
Is this: the door may close while we delay.

He knocks to rescue, not to bind or chain,
To give abundant life beyond the grave;
Eternity awaits—no end, no pain—
For those who answer, those He died to save.

O traveler, heed the whisper while you may,
Before the vapor fades into the night;
Choose heaven’s call above the world’s display—
Surrender now, and step into the light.
