The throne of loving glory, beauty, delight,
Beholds His royally redeemed in radiant bloom,
His heart, a well of joy that knows no night,
Sees them as heirs of splendor, free from gloom.
His scepter marks them precious in His sight,
His crown of light their royal state reveals,
He views them robed in honor, pure and bright,
Their worship sweet, a treasure He inseals.

No flaw obscures the beauty He surveys,
For in His gaze they shine with regal worth,
A tapestry of grace through endless days,
Their royal praises echo His true mirth.
Ye chosen, rise, His courts of bliss adorn,
His heart’s delight in thee forever born.

The Lions’ Den And Divine Embrace by Debbie Harris

The Lions’ Den and Divine Embrace
When shadows roar and lions bare their teeth,
A den of death where mortal strength must fail,
The soul might quake beneath the claws beneath,
Yet faith stands firm where worldly hopes grow pale.
Like Daniel, cast to fate’s unyielding maw,
Surrounded by the hunger of the night,
He found a shield in heaven’s holy law,
A guardian flame that turned the dark to light.
No matter where the lions’ den may lie,
In trials deep or jaws of dread unbound,
God’s hand is near, His mercy hovering nigh,
A whispered peace amid the savage sound.
So trust the One who calms the beastly throng,
For in His care, the weak become the strong.

Sonnet: The Imprecatory Cry For Justice by Debbie Harris

The Cry for Justice
When deeds so vile do stain the soul’s bright thread,
And darkness coils where mercy once held sway,
The heart, in anguish, lifts its voice to dread,
To call down wrath where evil dares to play.
Oh, righteous fire, from heavens high descend,
Let justice pierce the veil of wicked guile,
With thunder’s roar, let broken fates amend,
And purge the stain that festers rank and vile.
Yet in the storm, a whisper softly cries,
A trembling hope that grace might still abide,
For vengeance dwells where mortal judgment lies,
And peace alone can heal the soul inside.
So pray I thus, with fury and with care,
That truth prevail, and love outlast despair.

Villanelle: In Him All Things Hold

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Colossians 1:17 (KJV)

He stands before the dawn of time’s first gleam,
In Him the threads of all creation bind,
Through endless ages, He remains supreme.

The stars, the dust, the heavens’ vast extreme,
All rest within His will, by love designed,
He stands before the dawn of time’s first gleam.

No force can break the unity extreme,
The chaos stilled, the fractured redefined,
Through endless ages, He remains supreme.

Each breath, each pulse, flows from His living stream,
The world upheld where mercy’s hands entwined,
He stands before the dawn of time’s first gleam.

The void would reign, a dark and shattered dream,
Were not His power the cornerstone behind,
Through endless ages, He remains supreme.

So sing of Him, let every voice redeem,
The truth that holds when all else falls resigned:
He stands before the dawn of time’s first gleam,
Through endless ages, He remains supreme.

(Proverbs 17:15) Based on this precious verse!

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, Even they both are an abomination to the Lord!

He crowns the vile with laurels falsely won,
And casts the just beneath a scornful heel,
An outrage born where truth is overrun,
Abhorrent both to God’s unyielding zeal.
The Lord abhors the tongue that twists the right,
Condemning saints while sinners lift their cheers,
For in His sight burns justice, pure and bright,
A flame to purge the falsehood of the years.
No shadow hides from Heaven’s piercing gaze,
No wicked plea can sway the holy rod,
The scales of grace shall right the crooked ways,
And vindicate the humble sons and daughters of God.
So let us stand, His righteousness to claim,
Lest we profane the glory of His name.

The presence of Christ like a dawn’s golden blaze,
Illumes every step through my earthbound days.
A celestial King on a throne vast and tall,
He reigns o’er my soul as my all in all.

The Heinous, Misleading Lie Of The Prosperity False, Greedy Gospel by Debbie Harris

They preach a gilded lie from pulpits grand,
That faith shall heap our laps with golden store,
As if His wounds were coins to fill our hands,
And grace a key to unlock fortune’s door.
But He was poor, with nowhere soft to lie,
His crown was thorns, His throne a splintered tree,
No riches gleamed where crowds roared “Crucify,”
Yet in His want, the truest wealth we see.
For as He is—despised, and bruised, and low—
So are we called to bear this fleeting pain,
Not chasing mammon’s false and fleeting glow,
But finding gold in loss, in scorn, in rain.
The prospered life they sell is but a snare,
His yoke is ours—through crosses we’re made heir.

Worldly Hope Versus Biblical Hope, A Comparison by Debbie Harris

Worldly hope, a fragile thread,
A wish on winds that shift and shed,
It clings to chance, to fleeting skies,
A spark that fades when fortune dies.
It dreams of gold, of days serene,
Yet trembles at what lies unseen,
A shallow root in shifting sand,
It falters where it cannot stand.

Biblical hope, a steadfast flame,
Anchored deep in a holy name,
No mere desire, but trust made whole,
A promise carved on the soul.
Through storms it holds, through dark it glows,
A certainty the heart well knows,
Not swayed by time, nor crushed by woe,
It rises where the faithful go.

One leans on fate, the other grace,
One dims in doubt, one seeks His face,
Worldly hope may charm the eye,
But Biblical hope will never die.

Peaks Of Sacred Sight by Debbie Harris

Upon the mountain tops of sacred word,
We climb with fervent hearts to seek His gaze,
Where Jesus’ sight unveils a world unstirred,
By sin’s deceit or culture’s fleeting maze.
The valleys bloom with grace beneath His view,
Each peak resounds with love that never fades,
The truth, a lantern, ever burning true,
Illumes our path through mortal nights and days.
For His great glory, let our lives be sown,
A testament of mercy’s tender call,
To mirror Christ, whose heart for us was shown,
In sacrifice that ransomed one and all.
So may we stand, His light through us to shine,
A sonnet lived in truth and love divine.

No Greater Christmas Gift Then Knowing Jesus Christ As Personal Lord And Savior by Debbie Harris

No greater gift, no blessing so divine,
At Christmas tide or any sacred hour,
Than this: that Jesus Christ, enthroned, does shine,
And dwells within our hearts with majestic power.
