Dear Reader,

I wrote these lines while watching the shops and historic landmarks burn in Paris, while the streets were filled with flames and violence, and while a radical Christless ideology once again tried to lie, kill, and destroy—just as it always has, and just as Satan has from the beginning.

These times remind me of the verse:

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

— 2 Timothy 3:1–5 (NKJV)

What is destroyed can be rebuilt. What is stolen can be mourned. But Jesus Christ is a beauty that cannot be taken away, a light that remains when the city is shaken, the one who outlasts every fall.

It is a political statement because I believe in taking a stand—not in the toxic empathy that is destroying Europe. I am tired of the woke, progressive, liberal, Marxist, communist ideologies, of Islam, and of the ABCs of immorality that this world is demonically promoting. We must take a stand against all forms of evil and immorality. This world is calling good evil and evil good. We must take a stand for our Savior Jesus Christ. In every end time—whether the one we are living or any other—Christ is still the beauty that cannot be lost.

— The Poet

No matter what is destroyed
in these end times—
the shops and historic landmarks
where the fires still climb—

Jesus Christ is a beauty
that cannot be taken,
a light that remains
when the city is shaken.

The stones may blacken,
the windows may break,
the streets may be emptied
by all that they take.

When flames and violence rise
and a radical Christless ideology
tries to seize the prize—

Christ is the beauty
that outlasts the fall—
the one who remains
when they try to take it all.

What they destroy
was never the source.
What they erase
was never the force.
Christ is the beauty
that cannot be lost.
