Rise, O royal one, blood-bought and scarred,
Authentic, born again—though the night is hard.
The battle is not gentle.
It claws. It burns. It blinds.
Arrows whistle, accusations scream,
Wounds reopen in the oldest dream.

Yet still—
We stand in victory!
You stand in victory!

The war was won when mercy bled,
When Love hung dying and rose instead.
The serpent’s head is crushed beneath His feet—
What rages now is rage in defeat.

The fight is brutal, the night is long,
Tears carve rivers where hope feels wrong.
Conscience condemns, the heart grows faint,
But God is greater—His truth won’t taint.

No condemnation can rewrite the score,
The cross has spoken forevermore.
We walk in Spirit, though flesh still fights,
Carrying scars that prove the Light.

Rise anyway.
Proclaim through grit and groan:

We stand in victory!
You stand in victory!

Not because the battle ever eased its hand,
But because the Conqueror already planned—
Every tear recorded, every blow repaid,
Victory not imagined—victory made.

It is finished.
Even when hell howls loud.
Even when gentleness hides in the crowd.

Rise.
Proclaim.
Stand.
Unbroken.
Unshaken.

Keep rising.
Keep proclaiming.
Even on the days when your voice shakes,
the declaration doesn’t.

We stand in victory!
You stand in victory!

Forever sealed in His blood,
forever held in His hands.

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
— Psalm 93:1 (KJV)

The Lord reigneth.
May this be
our incessant,
joyful,
victorious
anthem of praise!

The Lord Reigneth: Let the Earth Rejoice in His Unshaken Throne by Debbie Harris

(Inspired by Psalm 93:1–4; 97:1)

The Lord reigneth! Let storms rage on and roar,
The floods rise high with thunder in their might—
Their crashing waves pound loud upon the shore,
A wild and furious noise that shakes the night.

They lift their voice in chaos, fierce and deep,
The thunder of the waters fills the air,
Yet high above, where endless glories keep,
The Lord is stronger—calm beyond compare.

No roar of mighty seas can shake His throne,
No pounding waves can drown His holy word;
The noise that once would leave the heart alone
Grows still before the power of the Lord.

O weary soul, when troubles crash and cry,
When fears like breakers break upon your shore,
Lift up your voice and let this truth reply:
The Lord reigneth—peace forevermore!

Let earth be glad, let trembling hearts find song,
For He who rules is Love, forever true;
Amid the roar, His reign remains so strong—
Rejoice, be glad: the Lord reigneth in you!

Risen in Glory, Alleluia!
An Easter Anthem
(For SATB choir and piano, with optional brass/handbells)

Verse 1
In the shadow of the cross we stood,
Where love poured out in crimson flood;
The Savior slain, the curtain torn,
The weight of sin forever borne.

Pre-Chorus
The stone was sealed, the guards kept watch,
Yet heaven’s plan no grave could match;
In silence deep, the third day dawned—
The King of life forever spawned!

Chorus
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Risen in glory, death defeated!
Risen in power, our chains are broken!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen today!
Sing with joy, the tomb is empty—
He lives forever, come what may!
Alleluia! Alleluia!

Verse 2
Now Mary heard the angel’s word,
“Behold, He is not here—He’s Lord!”
The risen Christ in victory strode,
The path of life, the way to God.

Bridge
What once was lost is now restored,
By wounds that heal, by grace outpoured;
O death, where is your sting this day?
The grave has lost its hold—He reigns!

Final Chorus
Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Risen in glory, reigning on high!
Risen forever, our hope eternal!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Christ the Lord is risen today!
Let every tongue and nation sing—
The King has conquered everything!
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Risen in glory—Alleluia!

Coda
Alleluia… alleluia…
Christ is risen indeed!
Risen in glory… alleluia!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV)
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

A heraldic banner unfurled in the sky,
Quartered in gold for glory divine,
Azure for heaven’s realm on high,
Charged with the Lion of Judah rampant, crowned;
A cross potent at center, potent and bright,
The Jerusalem cross with arms outstretched wide,
Symbol of wounds redeemed in endless light,
Proclaiming the promise o’er the ancient word.

The heavens rend with glory’s piercing light,
A royal shout proclaims the King’s return;
The Lord descends in majesty and might,
With archangel’s voice and trumpet’s golden burn.

From silent graves the crowned ones rise anew,
In robes of white, with crowns of righteousness;
Redeemed by blood, their royal birthright true,
They soar on wings to greet their Sovereign’s bliss.

Then we, His subjects watchful through the night,
Feel sudden grace exalt us from the dust;
Caught up as one in clouds of living light,
We join the throng where royal praises thrust.

No chain of earth, no tear of mortal strife—
We stand as kings and queens before His life:
Forever robed in His redeeming grace,
The Royally Redeemed in His embrace.

The Unconquerable Throne: Adoring the Pierced and Reigning King While the World Groans Under Missile Rain and Shadowed Swarms by Debbie Harris

Throne of Uncreated Flame

Beyond the curtain of our night,
Where galaxies in silence spin,
A throne ascends through realms of light,
Where dawn and vesper melt within.

Its frame is jasper, veined with fire,
A carnelian heart that glows;
Around it arcs a rainbow spire,
Emerald-hued, where mercy flows.

No mortal eye could bear the blaze
That pours from Him who sits enthroned;
Yet seraphim, with wings ablaze,
Hide trembling faces, overawed.

Their sixfold pinions beat as one,
A storm of feathers tipped in gold;
Their voices rise like molten sun—
“Holy, holy, holy,” told.

The cry ignites the crystal sea,
A glassy mirror vast and still,
Reflecting lightning’s jagged spree
And thunder’s deep, unbroken will.

Seven torches dance before the throne,
Seven spirits, living flame;
Their sparks ascend like seeds unsown,
To kindle stars and call His name.

Twenty-four elders, robed in snow,
Their crowns of purest gold they fling;
They fall as waves of worship flow,
Before the Ancient of all Being.

And then the scroll, sealed sevenfold,
Lies weeping in the hand of night—
No one in heaven, earth, or hold
Could break its chains of shadowed might.

Until the Lion steps from Judah’s line,
The Root of David, fierce and bright;
Yet lo, a slaughtered Lamb divine
Stands bleeding still in deathless light.

His wounds are rubies, open, deep,
Each scar a river red and wide;
The elders fall, the creatures weep,
As heaven’s chorus swells with pride:

“Worthy the Lamb who tasted death,
To take the scroll and loose its seal!
Worthy the One who gave His breath,
That broken hearts might rise and heal!”

Ten thousand times ten thousand sing,
A sea of voices, white as foam;
Myriads upon myriads ring
The throne where love has made its home.

King of kings—no diadem of man
Can crown the brow that bore the thorn;
Lord of lords—the scepter in His hand
Is mercy’s rod, by justice born.

Amid the Tempest’s Roar

Amid the clamor of the age,
Where banners bleed and nations seethe,
Where drones in shadowed swarms engage
And rockets carve their paths of grief—

Smoke coils thick from shattered fields,
The earth recoils beneath the weight;
Shaheds and Sejjils streak like yields
Of hellish harvest, sealing fate.

In Ukraine’s frost, the swarms descend,
Iranian waves crash on Israel’s shore;
Hezbollah’s barrages never end,
While Gulf skies burn with missile lore.

Tehran reels as bunker-busters fall,
Beirut ignites in rocket rain;
From Kharkiv’s ruins to southern wall,
The air itself cries out in pain.

Yet turn thine eyes, O weary soul,
Beyond the smoke, the drone’s cold hum;
Above the thunder’s blackest roll
Shines forth the Throne where mercies come.

There Jesus sits in robes of flame,
His wounds like rubies, ever bright;
His scepter stills the wildest claim,
His gaze dissolves the endless night.

No drone can breach that crystal sea,
No rocket pierce those emerald walls;
The Lamb who triumphed over death’s decree
Reigns high where every tumult falls.

Fix here thy heart, let not alarm
Steal peace from those He calls His own;
For He who calms the fiercest storm
Has promised: “Fear not—I sit enthroned.”

In this dark hour, let worship rise
Like incense through the battle’s drone;
The King returns with pierced hands and eyes—
Our hope, our peace, forever known.

O Jesus Christ, our eyes would rise
To drink the splendor of Thy face;
Till faith gives way to open skies
And we behold Thee, full of grace.

Let lightning flash, let thunder roll,
Let every creature, far and near,
Proclaim with one unbroken soul:
“The Lamb is worthy—ever, here!”

May this frail song ascend as myrrh,
A trembling vapor to Thy throne;
Until the veil of time shall stir
And we shall know as we are known. Amen.

Behold the Beauty of Unmerited Righteousness: Through the Faithfulness of Jesus Christ, Offered to Every Believing Heart by Debbie Harris

Lo, from the shadowed law’s unyielding throne,
Where mortal striving falters, dust to dust,
A brighter righteousness is now made known—
Not forged in works, but wrought in endless trust.

Through faith in Christ, the faithful Son who died,
God’s very justice flows, a boundless stream;
To every soul that turns, whate’er betide,
It comes as gift—no barrier, no deem.

No Jew nor Greek, no bond nor free, no high,
No low-born wretch excluded from the call;
All have transgressed, yet all may lift the eye
To Him who justifies the great and small.

O sweetness infinite! That grace so free
Should robe the sinner in unspotted light,
And bid the blind behold what none could see—
The Lamb’s pure merit shining through the night.

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saves,
Redeems the lost, and crowns the contrite heart;
In Christ alone the soul no longer craves,
But rests secure, where righteousness imparts.

Then sing, my soul, of mercy undeserved,
Of faith that tastes the honey of His love;
For God is just, yet justifier preserved—
Through Jesus’ blood, our pardon from above.

What truth more sweet could heaven itself afford?
Righteousness by faith—for all who come to Him.
Believer, taste and see your sovereign Lord:
In grace begun, in glory perfected. Amen.

Burning or Spued Forth from Laodicea’s Warning: A Solemn Charge and Heavenly Petition That Every Soul Purchased by the Blood of Jesus May Be Found Blazing, Never Tepid by Debbie Harris

May our hearts be full of fire for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Let no chill of ease descend, no tepid slumber dim our sight.
Rise, O soul, and burn with holy flame, unquenched by worldly breath,
Lest the charge of Laodicea fall upon us at our death.

Once the Bridegroom’s torch was carried high through dark and starless night,
Zeal like lightning clove the heavens, love like furnace roared with might.
Shall we now, redeemed by blood so dear, in comfort’s cradle lie,
While the world grows cold around us and the faithful faint and die?

Lukewarm heart, thou wretched thing, neither hot nor cold art thou;
Spued from His mouth who bought thee dear, what mercy claimest thou?
Awake, arise, cast off the grave-clothes of this drowsy age,
Rekindle love with tears and fasting, turn again the sacred page.

Let prayer be fuel, Scripture oil, and worship blaze the pyre;
Let every thought, each deed, each word feed higher, ever higher.
No middle ground, no neutral shore—choose thou this very day:
To burn for Christ with ceaseless fire, or fade in shades of gray.

O Lord of glory, King of love, send down Thy Spirit’s wind and flame!
Consume our dross, our sloth, our pride, and write upon our frame
The name that none can read but Thee, the mark of those who dare
To live as martyrs in their time, though yet the cross they bear.

So may it never, never be—by grace let it be said—
That any true-born child of Thine grew lukewarm, cold, or dead.
But rather let the angels sing, when time itself is past,
“Here walked a soul ablaze for Christ, and burns in heaven at last.”

Amen.

The Devil Does Not Fear a Mighty Cathedral Filled with Multitudes; He Trembles Before a Humble Church on Its Knees in Prayer, Where Two or Three Are Gathered in the Name of Jesus Christ by Debbie Harris

No towers grand nor throngs that fill the nave
Strike terror in the dark prince’s breast;
He mocks the pomp of marble, gold, and stave,
Where multitudes in idle worship rest.

The bells may ring, the organs thunder loud,
The crowds may surge like rivers to the door;
Yet Satan smiles amid the pious crowd,
For empty hearts leave heaven’s gate ajar.

But lo! when humble souls in secret meet,
Two or three gathered in the Savior’s name,
Their whispered prayers ascend on wingèd feet,
And Jesus comes—His presence kindles flame.

Then trembles hell; the ancient serpent flees,
His kingdom quakes before such quiet might.
No sword of man, no host in panoplies,
Can match the power of contrite souls in light.

A single candle lit by faith sincere
Outshines the blaze of ten thousand torches bright;
In lowly prayer the victory draws near,
And darkness yields unto the Lord’s true light.

O devil, fear the closet, fear the knee,
Fear hearts united, bowed in Jesus’ name;
For where His Spirit dwells in unity,
Thy reign is broken—evermore the same.

When Dagon Fell Twice: A Narrative of Divine Triumph Over Philistine Idolatry by Debbie Harris

In Ashdod’s walls, where Philistine pride did swell,
The ark of Israel’s God they bore as captive prize,
Triumph’s trophy from Ebenezer’s field of blood,
Where once the Hebrews fled and thousands died.
Into the house of Dagon, fish-tailed deity,
Lord of grain and sea, they placed the sacred chest,
Beside his graven form of stone and gilded pride,
As if Jehovah bowed to Dagon’s manifest.

Yet when the dawn with rosy fingers touched the east,
And priests of Ashdod rose to greet their god anew,
Behold! Dagon lay prostrate, fallen face to earth,
Before the ark of Him whose name is ever true.
No storm had raged, no mortal hand had struck the blow—
Silent the night, yet dread the judgment wrought unseen.
They lifted up the broken idol, set him straight,
And trembled not, but thought the fall a chance obscene.

The second morn returned, more terrible than first:
Again the threshold showed the god in ruin low,
Fallen full upon his face before the ark divine,
His head cut off, his hands of power severed so,
Lying upon the very step where men must tread—
Only the headless, handless trunk of Dagon stood,
A mutilated stump, a mockery of might,
While Israel’s God in silence reigned as understood.

Thus was the idol-god obliterated twice:
First bowed in homage, then in pieces dashed apart;
His sovereignty decapitated, hands of strength removed,
His power broken by an invisible, almighty dart.
No craftsman’s tool, no warrior’s blade had wrought this doom—
The hand of the Lord alone had dealt the stroke unseen,
Proving that wood and stone, though carved with pomp and gold,
Before the living God are but as dust and dream.

Therefore the priests of Dagon, and all who cross that hall,
To this day shun the threshold where his fragments fell,
Lest they should tread upon the relics of his shame,
And feel the weight of judgment none can quell.
For there the Lord declared, in emblem stark and plain,
That false gods crumble when His presence draws near;
Dagon lies shattered, headless, handless, overthrown—
The Lord of Hosts alone shall reign, no rival near.
