From the prodigal’s weary road to the thief upon the tree,
Redemption calls the broken ones to heroic victory.
A heroine in quiet strength, the widow’s mite she gives,
Defying famine’s cruel grasp, in faith her spirit lives;
A hero in the marketplace, turning greed to generous deed,
Sowing seeds of kindness where the world’s cold hearts still bleed.

No cape of crimson flair adorns, no sword of steel they wield,
But armed with prayer and Scripture’s truth, on battlefields concealed.
Against the tempests of despair, the arrows of doubt’s cruel aim,
They stand redeemed, unyielding, whispering His holy name.
The mother shielding innocence from storms of modern strife,
The elder bearing witness still, through decades of life’s knife—
Each act a chapter in the tale of glory’s grand design,
Where weakness bows to wondrous power, and mortal meets divine.

Oh, redeemed heroes, heroines bold, your stories etch the sky,
In every trial conquered, every tear that dared to dry.
For Jesus, the Ultimate Hero, who stormed the gates of hell,
Redeems the frail and fallen, rings freedom’s triumphant bell.
No legend fades in history’s tome, no myth outshines this truth:
Your life, surrendered wholly, proves eternal, ageless youth.

In boardrooms, bedrooms, battlegrounds of soul and subtle war,
You charge with love’s unbreaking shield, forever seeking more.
To heal the wounded, lift the low, to shine where night prevails,
A heroine’s compassion, a hero’s faith that never fails.
For in His glory, you are crowned—not with laurels that decay,
But robes of righteousness eternal, in heaven’s bright array.

Live on, redeemed ones, in this epic of grace untold,
Heroes and heroines of the cross, with hearts of purest gold.
Every step a triumph song, every breath a victor’s cry,
Proclaiming Jesus Christ alone, who lives and never dies.
Amen.

Summary of “Conviction, Repentance, and Resurrection: The Step-by-Step Miracle of Being Born Again in Christ Jesus”

This extended poem chronicles the profound spiritual journey of Christian salvation and rebirth through Jesus Christ, structured as a sequential, step-by-step process rooted in biblical principles. It unfolds in poetic verses, blending imagery of darkness yielding to light, death giving way to life, and human frailty transformed by divine grace.

  • Conviction (Awakening to Sin): The poem begins with a lost soul adrift in worldly emptiness, stirred by the Holy Spirit’s gentle conviction. Like rain on dry ground, guilt pierces the heart, shattering denial and prompting tears of realization—the essential first step of recognizing one’s need for God.
  • Repentance (Turning from Sin): Sorrow leads to humble confession and surrender. The penitent kneels, casting off pride and vices like autumn leaves, creating a contrite heart ready for mercy. This act of turning away from the old life burns away impurities, paving the way for true freedom.
  • Faith and Baptism (Dying and Rising with Christ): Belief in Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross ignites trust. Baptism symbolizes burial of the old self in water, washing away sins through His blood, followed by emergence as a resurrected being—erased past, no lingering chains.
  • Indwelling of the Holy Spirit (New Birth): The Spirit descends like a dove or flame, filling the soul with power and making the believer a new creation, a child of God. Clothed in righteousness, the inward person is renewed, bearing fruits like love, joy, and peace, guided by Scripture.
  • Discipleship and Growth (Walking in Faith): Daily life involves prayer, worship, fellowship, and service. Armor against temptation—faith’s shield and truth’s sword—fortifies the journey. Trials refine character, community sharpens resolve, and perseverance builds toward maturity, from glory to glory.
  • Perseverance and Culmination (Eternal Resurrection): Amid challenges, hope anchors the soul. The poem crescendos to the final resurrection: a glorified body in heaven, free from pain, united with Christ. The entire process glorifies God, portraying rebirth as a symphony of mercy—from earthly awakening to eternal rest.

Overall, the poem emphasizes themes of grace, redemption, and transformation, portraying being “born again” (John 3:3) not as a single event but a miraculous, progressive miracle enabled solely by Jesus’ love, culminating in everlasting praise. It serves as an inspirational ode to faith’s transformative power, accessible yet deeply theological.

In the shadows of a soul once lost and torn,
A wanderer drifts through valleys dark and worn.
The weight of sin, like chains that bind the heart,
Whispers of despair, pulling worlds apart.
Eyes blind to grace, ears deaf to heaven’s call—
The first step: conviction, the Spirit’s thrall.
A stirring deep, a prick upon the conscience clear,
Awakening the need for something near.

Repentance blooms, a turning from the night,
Confessing wrongs beneath the Savior’s light.
Knees bend low in sorrow’s humble plea,
“Forgive me, Lord, and set my spirit free.”
The old self cracks, like tombs that roll away,
Dying to flesh in waters of the fray.
Buried with Him in baptism’s sacred tide,
The past dissolves where grace and truth abide.

From depths arise, renewed by faith’s embrace,
Believing in the cross, the empty space.
Jesus’ blood, the ransom paid in full,
Washes clean, makes scarlet white as wool.
The Holy Spirit descends like dove’s soft wing,
Filling the void, making dead hearts sing.
A new creation, born of water and the Word,
Alive in Christ, where once the soul was blurred.

Now walk in light, with steps ordained anew,
Fruits of the Spirit in all you say and do.
Love, joy, peace—the armor of the faith,
Guarding the heart from temptation’s wraith.
Fellowship grows in the body of the King,
Worship and service, letting praises ring.
No longer slave, but child of God above,
Eternal life, wrapped in unending love.

At journey’s end, the promise shines so bright,
Transformed forever in His glorious sight.
Born again by Jesus, step by faithful step,
From death to life, in His eternal kept.
The veil is lifted, heaven’s gates ajar—
Redeemed, restored, a shining guiding star.
In Him we rise, reborn and ever free,
Glory to the Lamb for eternity.

The poem “In Awe of God’s Love, Unashamed for Christ and Word” is a heartfelt, hymn-like tribute to Jesus, inspired by Romans 5:8 (NIV) and Romans 1:16 (KJV, AMP). Written in four quatrains, it praises God’s greatness, acknowledges human frailty (“We’re dust, shaped by Your hand”), celebrates God’s intervention through Christ’s sacrifice (“But God… stepped in”), and commits to boldly following and proclaiming Jesus and the Bible (“Unashamed for Christ, Your Word we raise”). It honors Jesus and prioritizes God’s Word.

In humble response to God’s Word.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8 (NIV)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
— Romans 1:16 (KJV)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek!
— Romans 1:16 (AMP)

O Lord, You are an awesome God,
We’re dust, shaped by Your hand,
Mere specks, yet loved beyond all bounds,
Your mercy vast and grand.

But God… but God… but God stepped in,
With Christ’s own precious blood,
Redeeming all who turn and trust,
Believing in Your love.

How can we ever praise You well?
Or bless Your holy name?
How can we show the love we owe,
To honor all You claim?

Through Your dear Son’s redeeming gift,
We offer back our days—
A life to follow Your true Word,
Unashamed for Christ, Your Word we raise.

Sonnet: Redeemed by Blood Divine by Debbie Harris

The sonnet Redeemed by Blood Divine, inspired by 1 Peter 1:18-19 (KJV), celebrates the redemption of humanity through Christ’s sacrifice. It contrasts the fleeting value of earthly treasures like silver and gold, which cannot free the soul from sin, with the eternal, priceless blood of the unblemished Lamb, Jesus Christ. Vivid imagery—crimson streams, radiant light, rivers from the skies, and shining stars—evokes the majesty of His sacrifice, which cleanses guilt and restores the soul. The poem emphasizes God’s boundless grace and love, portraying redemption as a divine act that secures believers as God’s cherished children.

I Peter 1:18-19 KJV

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

No silver’s gleam, nor gold’s resplendent blaze,
Could free the soul from sin’s unyielding hold;
Earth’s treasures fade beneath time’s fleeting gaze,
Their fleeting worth too frail to save the soul.
Yet see the Lamb, unblemished, pure, divine,
Whose sacred blood upon the cross was poured;
Its crimson stream, more radiant than sunshine,
Redeems the lost, their brokenness restored.
O grace that flows like rivers from the skies,
To cleanse the heart from guilt’s enduring stain!
His sacrifice, a beacon that outvies
The stars above, and breaks the captive’s chain.
Eternal love, majestic, undefiled,
Secures us as God’s own, His ransomed child.

The hymn “Revive, Ignite, Restore” has four stanzas and a refrain, praying for revival through the salvation of souls and Christ’s lordship. Stanza 1 seeks revival by redeeming souls through Christ’s sacrifice and spreading the Gospel. Stanza 2 asks for hearts to be ignited to proclaim Christ’s name and restore the lost. Stanza 3 focuses on restoration through Christ’s cross, urging the church to unite in sharing salvation. Stanza 4 envisions Christ’s reign, with revival leading to universal praise. The refrain prays for revival, ignition, and restoration through Christ alone, emphasizing soul-winning and His sovereignty.

  1. O God of grace, revive our land,
Through souls redeemed by Christ’s own hand.
    Salvation’s call, let hearts embrace,
Your Gospel light in every place.
Awake the lost, their sins forgive,
    By Jesus’ blood, let sinners live;
Proclaim His name, the Savior’s might,
Revive, O Lord, through souls ignit’d.

Refrain:
Revive, ignite, restore, we pray,
Let Christ be Lord in every way.
Through souls redeemed, Your Spirit send,
Revival bring, through Christ alone.

  1. Ignite our hearts with holy flame,
To spread the glory of Your name.
Let Christ be Lord o’er every shore,
    His kingdom reign forevermore.
From darkened paths, bring wanderers home,
    To bow before Your Son’s great throne;
With power divine, Your Spirit pour,
And save the lost, their hope restore.

Refrain:
Revive, ignite, restore, we pray,
Let Christ be Lord in every way.
Through souls redeemed, Your Spirit send,
Revival bring, through Christ alone.

  1. Restore the broken, heal the soul,
Through Christ alone, make sinners whole.
His cross the key, His grace the door,
    To life eternal, evermore.
Let churches rise, with one accord,
    Proclaim salvation, Christ as Lord;
    Revival spark in every heart,
Your truth to all the world impart.

Refrain:
Revive, ignite, restore, we pray,
Let Christ be Lord in every way.
Through souls redeemed, Your Spirit send,
Revival bring, through Christ alone.

  1. O Savior, come, Your reign extend,
Till every knee to You shall bend.
    Revive, ignite, restore this land,
By sovereign grace from Your right hand.
Till earth resounds with songs of praise,
    And souls redeemed their voices raise;
Christ, Lord of all, forever reign,
Revive our world through souls You claim!

Refrain:
Revive, ignite, restore, we pray,
Let Christ be Lord in every way.
Through souls redeemed, Your Spirit send,
Revival bring, through Christ alone.

From Grief to Glory: The Hope of Heaven’s Grand Reunion by Debbie Harris

The poem, titled “From Grief to Glory: The Hope of Heaven’s Grand Reunion,” inspired by 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, encapsulates the passage’s message of hope, resurrection, and the second coming of Christ. It transforms the biblical text into a lyrical meditation, emphasizing the transition from earthly sorrow to eternal joy. The poem describes the faithful departed resting in a gentle sleep, awakened by Christ’s triumphant return, heralded by a trumpet and the archangel’s call. It portrays the resurrection of the dead in Christ, followed by the living believers being united with them in the clouds to meet the Lord. The imagery evokes a radiant, eternal dawn where grief is replaced by unending peace and communion with Christ, offering comfort and assurance of a glorious reunion.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 (NIV)
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Beneath the veil of twilight’s gentle sleep,
Where shadows cradle those who’ve gone before,
A hope arises, radiant, pure, and deep,
To bind the heart to heaven’s open door.

No grief shall linger, lost in hopeless night,
For Christ, who died and rose, has paved the way.
His promise shines, a resurrecting light,
To gather souls in everlasting day.

A trumpet sounds, the archangel’s voice will soar,
The Lord descends with thunder’s holy call.
The dead in Christ shall rise, their hearts restored,
Firstfruits of grace, they’ll stand, redeemed, enthralled.

Then we, still bound to earth’s unyielding clay,
Shall leap to clouds where love and glory meet.
Together caught, in rapture’s bright array,
We’ll join our Lord where joy shall never fleet.

Eternal dawn, where tears and time shall cease,
Forever bound in Christ’s unending peace.

The sonnet, titled “The Inerrant Word of the Triune God, Surpassing Silver and Gold, Revealing Salvation and Royal Heirship to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords,” celebrates the Bible as the infallible, divinely inspired voice of the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). It portrays Scripture as a treasure greater than silver or gold, radiating divine truth and beauty. The poem highlights the Father’s sovereign proclamation, the Son’s redemptive sacrifice, and the Spirit’s life-giving presence, which together guide humanity to salvation. Through its pages, the Bible reveals the path to being born again, freeing souls from death, and adopting believers as royal sons and daughters of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The sonnet concludes by affirming the eternal, unerring authority of God’s Word as a guide to grace and everlasting praise.

O Triune God, Your Word in splendor gleams,
Its sacred scroll holds wealth beyond compare.
More treasure than all silver, gold’s bright dreams,
Its pages shine with truth divinely fair.

The Father’s voice, a thunder clad in light,
Proclaims the path to be born once again.
The Son’s great love, through sacrifice made right,
Redeems the soul from death’s eternal chain.

The Spirit breathes where holy writ unfolds,
To save and crown us heirs of heaven’s throne.
As royal sons and daughters, we behold
The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords alone.

This Word, unerring, reigns through endless days,
Our guide to grace, our everlasting praise.

Summary of “Foundations in His Footsteps”

This sonnet calls believers to construct their lives on the unshakeable foundation of Jesus Christ’s example and sacrifice, warning that self-reliance leads to ruin. It evokes Christ’s journey to the cross as a guiding path of love and humility, urging the incorporation of acts like charity and healing into daily building. Ultimately, it prays for every aspect of existence to mirror His footsteps, ensuring enduring faith.

Upon the rock of ages, firm and true,
We raise our spires ‘gainst tempests that assail,
Yet if our hands forget the path to You,
Our towers crumble in the gale’s fierce wail.
O Christ, our Lord, whose steps through dust did tread
The road to Calvary, with love’s pure flame,
Teach us to trace those prints where thorns once bled,
And build our lives upon Thy sacred name.
No fleeting sands of self, no fleeting pride,
But every beam and stone in Thy design—
The widow’s mite, the leper healed beside,
The cross where grace and glory intertwined.
May all we fashion, from the heart’s deep core,
Echo Thy footsteps, now and evermore.

Psalm 62:5-6 – A Sonnet of Unshaken Soul, Ablaze with Celestial Hues by Debbie Harris

Summary of the Sonnet: Psalm 62:5-6 – A Sonnet of Unshaken Soul, Ablaze with Celestial Hues

This vivid sonnet, inspired by King David’s Psalm 62:5-6, weaves a tapestry of serene trust amid life’s tempests, urging the soul to find unyielding refuge in God alone. The opening quatrain paints a pilgrim’s quiet vigil by murmuring streams in emerald glades, where dawn’s honeyed glow dissolves shadows, birthing hope from night’s silken embrace—echoing the psalm’s call to “wait in silence” for divine expectation.

The second quatrain elevates God as a colossal rock, veined with quartz-fire and gripped by emerald vines, defying indigo gales and sapphire furies—an immovable sentinel pulsing with obsidian calm, symbolizing salvation’s forge against thunder’s faltering fists.

In the third, grace flows as molten gold rivers, revealing moon-silvered spires and pearl banners fluttering on mist-cloaked peaks, where cobalt storms lash futilely at hearths of unquenchable refuge, affirming God as the fortress where fearful hearts prevail.

The final sestet roots resilience in obsidian anchors delving earth’s marrow, unbowed by cerulean vortexes and amethyst shrouds of scheming foes; grace cascades honey-sweet over ochre ruins, with aureate trumpets shattering gloom, as mountains of whispering frost guard star-scattered valleys—declaring the soul’s unmoved stand in profound, eternal light.

The couplet resolves in a triumphant silhouette against vermilion horizons, tumult ebbing to gold-leaf repose, where trust’s petals bloom in flame-gardens, anointed by peace’s starry fatness—capturing the psalm’s emphatic refrain: God alone as rock, salvation, and fortress, unshaken amid betrayal’s siege.

O soul of mine, in velvet hush repose,
Where crystalline streams murmur ancient lore,
Their silver threads weaving through emerald glades,
And shadows dissolve in dawn’s honeyed glow,
A pilgrim’s brow kissed by the blushing veil
Of heaven’s first light, bruised lavender yielding
To amber flames that lick the horizon’s edge,
Birthing hope from the womb of silken night.

He stands as my rock, veined with quartz-fire’s gleam,
Unyielding ‘gainst gales that howl in indigo wrath,
Vines of verdant faith coiling like emerald serpents
O’er flanks scarred by tempests of sapphire fury,
A sentinel colossal, its obsidian heart
Pulsing calm where thunder’s bruised fists falter.

My salvation, forged in celestial pyres,
Where molten gold cascades in rivers of grace,
And fearful hearts find spires of moon-silvered stone,
Mist-cloaked bastions clawing jagged peaks of pearl,
Banners of peace unfurling like dawn’s fragile wings
Against the cobalt lash of storms that cannot breach
The hearth’s golden flicker, unquenchable refuge
In chambers where echoes of tempests dissolve to dew.

No earthly shadow can rend this hallowed loam,
Roots delving deep as obsidian anchors into
Earth’s marrow-rich core, unbowed by vortex swirls
Of slate and cerulean rage, stark quills of raven ink
Tracing resilience through soils where phantoms coil
Yet fade like mist before the sun’s aureate trumpet.

Though schemes of foes creep in twilight’s amethyst shroud,
I stand in grace’s profound cascade, honey-sweet
O’er ochre ruins reborn in light’s triumphant pyre,
Ramparts eternal silencing whispers of siege
With trumpets of electrum that shatter the gloom.
Unmoved, as mountains of ancient granite guard
Valleys deep-carved by rivers of star-scattered ink,
Their crests crowned in veils of eternal, whispering frost.

Thus let thy wild tumult ebb, O waiting heart,
For God alone ignites the endless dawn’s decree,
A silhouette ablaze ‘gainst vermilion horizons,
Soul moored in gold-leaf thrones of divine repose,
Where every petal of trust blooms in gardens of flame,
And the fatness of peace anoints the weary with stars.
