In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
In all we raise our thanks to Thee, O Lord, For salvation’s gifts, a ceaseless, gleaming tide, Blessings rush, a crystal river’s sacred chord, Divinely poured on souls once sin-denied. To us, unworthy, grace so freely streams, A precious flood from Heaven’s boundless vein, O Triune God, we laud Thy grand designs, For all Thou wast, wilt be, and shalt remain!
Royally redeemed, we stand in holy awe, Our joyous hope, victorious, fixed on Thee, Thy works ignite our hearts, our souls, our core, A thunderous praise for all eternity! With every breath, mind, spirit, we adore, O Lord, our thanks, a chorus bold and free, For everything—Thy love forevermore— We lift our all in grateful jubilee!
If need be, let us cast off, swift and sure, The frail claps of earth, a fleeting, hollow cheer, Spurn mankind’s nod, so flimsy, insecure, For Heaven’s roar, divine, eternal, clear! A holy thunder rolls from God’s high throne, Our Triune Lord, with praise that never fades, His sacred shout, a tempest all His own, Outshines the world’s thin, crumbling accolades!
Salvation storms through Christ, our mighty Lord, A lavish gift, exorbitant and rare, Exquisite flame, sin’s darkened veil restored, To souls once lost, now blameless, bright, and fair! From filth to triumph, born anew we rise, Victorious heirs, with royal blood infused, Joint kin with Jesus, strength that never dies, Our Holy Rock, divine, unbowed, unloosed!
Words lash out, a rusted razor’s edge, Grace unyielded, a fountain choked with stone, Christ’s crimson tide, pent in a soul’s dark pledge, Shrouds it thick, a strangling vine o’ergrown! No soothing gale of speech breaks through the blight, Though whispered beams could pierce the fractured crust, Spirits shatter, entombed in voiceless night, Aching for mercy’s breath, now ash and dust!
All bloom in Christ’s grace at their own pace, Some swift, some slow, through seasons yet unfurled, A graceless heart marks stunted, barren space, A soul un-grown in Jesus, Lord of worlds. So lift a prayer for those who lag behind, For lavish grace, once given, richly flows, A tide unseen, yet mighty to unbind, To drench their lives where arid hardness grows.
In time, His wealth, a golden mercy’s stream, Will soak their roots, a flood no drought can stay, Then freely they’ll pour out that costly gleam, The grace our Savior sows in patient sway. With love unbound, He bends to all who kneel, Who turn, believe, receive His holy spark— Through faith, His richness makes the graceless heal, A flourishing gift from Christ’s eternal ark.
A blessed balance, Scripture’s sacred call, Weaves grace, truth, mercy, love in holy thread, Yet some chase grace, let gospel’s ramparts fall, Compromise slinks, a shadow thinly spread. Others wield truth, a hammer cold and stark, No mercy flows, no love to lift the load, Legalism binds, a cruel and crushing mark, Too vast a yoke for fragile souls bestowed.
Some sing of love, yet mute the righteous flame, No grace, no truth to guard the narrow way, O Lord, bestow on saints Thy perfect aim, A blend divine where all Thy gifts hold sway! For Christ alone, our Star of flawless gleam, Exudes this dance—grace pours, yet truth stands tall, Mercy renews each morn in radiant stream, Love crowns it all, redeeming every fall.
To Him we run, in Him we bask and grow, His beauty molds our flawed and yearning clay, Through knowledge deep, His grace begins to flow, A fourfold light to guide us day by day! He, risen King, the Exemplar pure and whole, Our Source of wisdom, strength, salvation’s song, May we reflect His traits in every soul, Small Christs aflame, where His great name belongs.
For Jesus reigns, the Balance without flaw, King of all kings, with love and truth entwined, O let us strive, with passion and with awe, To mirror Him, in heart, in soul, in mind!
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
God changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
Daniel 2:21 (KJV)
Heavenly Father, Savior sweet and rare, Blest Holy Spirit, Triune mercy’s might, We yield America, our love, our prayer, To Thee, O Lord, in whom all lands unite. Forgive her sins, a tide of dark offense, Her Laodicean drift, lukewarm and blind, The church’s stains, her guilt in negligence, Our deeds, alone or joined, that truth maligned.
Raise us, O God, to stand for Christ alone, To shatter greed, corruption’s twisted crown, Cast down the lust for fame, for power grown, Till Jesus reigns where hearts and knees bow down. May we repent, His name once more exalt, In homes, in squares, with awe that never fades, Lift high His banner, faultless, without halt, Adore the King through all our fleeting days.
Our rulers stray, in shadows deep they sink, Satanic threads weave through their legal maze, Morals rot, where demon whispers slink, While toys outshine the lost soul’s tearful gaze. O Jesus, heal this land, or swift return, To dwell with Thee where flawless light holds sway, A realm of peace, where joy and justice burn, Thy Heavenly rule gilds every endless day.
Till then, we turn, by faith, not sight, we stride, Repentant hearts aflame with holy plea— Restore our land, or call us to Thy side, Forever free in Christ’s eternity!
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Matthew 5:11-12 (KJV)
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4and patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:3 (KJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Romans 5:22-23 (KJV)
As Christ’s own flame, a fervent heart aflame, A target gleams upon our backs, so stark— From lost souls blind, from nominals who claim, Yet ape the world in dress and worldly mark. Wolves prowl near, in wool their fangs disguise, While haters scorn our Savior’s precious name— May every dart, each stone, each hateful guise, Stoke passion fierce for Christ, our endless flame!
Let slander’s sting, persecution’s roar, Become our badge, a holy honor worn, Each lie a seed, blessed beneath the core, That blooms to gold, where Spirit’s fruit is born! Thorns prick here, and tears may carve their stream, Yet Heaven turns them crowns of radiant glee— We stand unbowed, in Jesus’ light supreme, Rejoicing still, till face to face we see!
