The poem celebrates God’s triumphant call to holiness, ringing out with the command “Be holy, for I am holy.” It rejoices in the saints’ victorious journey, their spirits ablaze with divine grace as they rise above weakness to reflect His radiant purity. With exultant steps, they follow His flawless light, conquering sin and claiming a sanctified path to mirror His sacred heart in joyous triumph.

A anthem rings through heaven’s boundless dome,
“Be holy, for I am,” the Savior cries,
With joy the saints arise from earthly loam,
Their spirits soar where victory never dies.
No chains of dust can dim their radiant cheer,
His holy fire ignites their hearts to sing,
Through every storm, his grace a banner clear,
They dance the path where freedom’s echoes ring.
He leads in triumph, pure and undefiled,
A king who crowns their souls with light divine,
Each step a shout, each trial now beguiled,
In holiness their lives with his entwine.
For he is holy, conqueror supreme,
And saints rejoice in his eternal gleam.

Sonnet: The Lord Jesus Christ’s Call to Treasures of Victory and Peace in the Holy Bible’s Inerrant Truth by Debbie Harris

The sonnet, titled “The Lord Jesus Christ’s Call to Treasures of Victory and Peace in the Holy Bible’s Inerrant Truth,” contrasts the fleeting, deceptive words of humanity with the enduring, precious truth of God’s Word. It portrays Christ’s voice as a divine call, rich with treasures—diamonds, rubies, pearls, and emeralds—guiding the heart away from the shallow allure of worldly praise. While human acclaim fades like mist, the Holy Bible stands as an unwavering source of victory, comfort, and peace, illuminating a path through life’s darkness with its inerrant truth.

Let whispers gleam like diamonds from on high,
To guide the heart where mortal tongues deceive,
Their fleeting noise, though loud, shall dim and die,
While God’s bright rubies endless worth achieve.
The crowd may boast, with tinsel-glitter call,
Yet frail their shine, like dew on morning’s breath,
His voice, a pearl, outshines their shallow thrall,
An emerald glow that conquers sin and death.
For man’s acclaim, a bauble swayed by gust,
Fades fast as mist beneath the tempest’s might,
But Scripture’s wealth, in stillness, holds our trust,
A jewel-lit path through darkness into light.
And find thy victory, comfort, peace to claim,
In Holy Bible’s truth, not man’s acclaim.

The poem captures Jesus’ zeal in overturning tables, showing a fierce stand against antisemitic sin. With righteous anger like Christ’s, it rejects festering hate, aiming to purge it in a bold, defiant act of moral clarity.

With zeal like Christ, I flip the tables high,
To cast out hate that festers dark and grim,
The antisemitic sin shall not abide,
In righteous wrath, I mirror Him.

Title: “A Tapestry of Praise”
Summary: This Shakespearean sonnet is a heartfelt expression of love and gratitude toward the Lord, woven with vivid, nature-inspired imagery. The first quatrain paints a scene of divine beauty, with golden heavens, emerald trees, cascading grace, and eternal seas of light. The second quatrain celebrates the Lord’s creation—starlit skies, silver streams, and the sparrow’s hymn—igniting the speaker’s spiritual longing. The third quatrain shifts to twilight valleys and a vibrant tapestry of colors, symbolizing the enduring presence of divine love. The concluding couplet affirmations the speaker’s devotion, portraying each breath as a song of renewal. The title, “A Tapestry of Praise,” reflects the poem’s rich, interwoven imagery and its overarching theme of worship.

The heavens bloom with gold at dawn’s first call,
A chorus whispers through the emerald trees,
Thy boundless grace cascades o’er mountain’s thrall,
And bathes the soul in light’s eternal seas.

For all Thy hands have wrought in starlit skies,
The rivers carve Thy name in silver streams,
The sparrow’s flight, a hymn that never dies,
Awakes my heart to chase celestial dreams.

Through shadowed vales where twilight paints the air,
Thy steadfast love ignites the fading flame,
A tapestry of colors rich and rare,
Unfurls beneath the echo of Thy name.

My Lord, I love Thee, radiant and true,
Each breath a song, my spirit born anew.

The gates of pearl in radiant splendor gleam,
A threshold vast where mortal dreams ascend,
Through streets of gold, a shimmering, endless stream,
The soul’s delight in beauty without end.
Each foundation stone, a jewel of sacred hue,
Bears names of twelve, apostles bold and true—
Their steadfast faith, in colors bright, proclaimed,
A testament through ages ever new.
The jasper glows, the sapphire’s azure flame,
Emerald whispers life, and ruby’s fire,
All woven in a hymn to one great Name,
A city built of grace and pure desire.
Here wealth of earth meets heaven’s boundless store,
A realm where love and light reign evermore.

—

The throne of loving glory, beauty, delight,
Beholds His royally redeemed in radiant bloom,
His heart, a well of joy that knows no night,
Sees them as heirs of splendor, free from gloom.
His scepter marks them precious in His sight,
His crown of light their royal state reveals,
He views them robed in honor, pure and bright,
Their worship sweet, a treasure He inseals.

No flaw obscures the beauty He surveys,
For in His gaze they shine with regal worth,
A tapestry of grace through endless days,
Their royal praises echo His true mirth.
Ye chosen, rise, His courts of bliss adorn,
His heart’s delight in thee forever born.

The Lions’ Den And Divine Embrace by Debbie Harris

The Lions’ Den and Divine Embrace
When shadows roar and lions bare their teeth,
A den of death where mortal strength must fail,
The soul might quake beneath the claws beneath,
Yet faith stands firm where worldly hopes grow pale.
Like Daniel, cast to fate’s unyielding maw,
Surrounded by the hunger of the night,
He found a shield in heaven’s holy law,
A guardian flame that turned the dark to light.
No matter where the lions’ den may lie,
In trials deep or jaws of dread unbound,
God’s hand is near, His mercy hovering nigh,
A whispered peace amid the savage sound.
So trust the One who calms the beastly throng,
For in His care, the weak become the strong.

Grace Eternal

Verse 1 (Gentle, Reflective)
O grace, unmerited and free,
A whisper soft through history’s plea,
In shadows deep, where sin held sway,
Thy light broke forth to lead the way.

Verse 2 (Rising, Hopeful)
Thy boundless gift, through storms unfurled,
A steadfast hope for all the world,
From chains of night, Thy hand released,
A song of mercy, love increased.

Chorus (Stately, Proclamatory)
Grace eternal, throne of might,
Crowned in mercy, robed in light,
O’er the ages, firm Thou stand,
Holding life within Thy hand.

Verse 3 (Dramatic, Exultant)
Through thunder’s roar and oceans’ cry,
Thy voice resounds, Thy name held high,
The lost are found, the blind made whole,
Thy grace redeems the wandering soul.

Chorus (Grand, Triumphant)
Grace eternal, throne of might,
Crowned in mercy, robed in light,
Heavens echo, earth replies,
Endless anthems fill the skies!

Bridge (Sublime, Soaring)
O gift divine, beyond our ken,
Thou liftest us to life again,
No tongue can tell, no heart contain,
The glory of Thy boundless reign.

Final Chorus (Majestic, Resolving)
Grace eternal, throne of might,
Crowned in mercy, robed in light,
Through the ages, evermore,
We adore Thee, we adore.

Coda (Serene, Sustained)
O grace, unmerited and free,
Forever ours, eternally.

How It Fits the Symphony

  • Verse 1: The oboe and strings carry this, tender and intimate, setting the stage.
  • Verse 2: Woodwinds and mid-range strings build momentum, introducing hope.
  • Chorus: Brass and timpani enter, bold and hymn-like, lifting the melody skyward.
  • Verse 3: Full orchestra swells, with cascading violins and thundering percussion.
  • Bridge: Harp and high strings shimmer, choir (if present) soaring in ethereal harmony.
  • Final Chorus: Everyone’s in—trumpets blaring, cymbals crashing, a wall of sound.
  • Coda: Back to a solo instrument—maybe a flute or cello—fading into serenity

Upon the mountain tops of sacred word,
We climb with fervent hearts to seek His gaze,
Where Jesus’ sight unveils a world unstirred,
By sin’s deceit or culture’s fleeting maze.
The valleys bloom with grace beneath His view,
Each peak resounds with love that never fades,
The truth, a lantern, ever burning true,
Illumes our path through mortal nights and days.
For His great glory, let our lives be sown,
A testament of mercy’s tender call,
To mirror Christ, whose heart for us was shown,
In sacrifice that ransomed one and all.
So may we stand, His light through us to shine,
A sonnet lived in truth and love divine.

A Name Profaned, A Heart Disdained by Debbie Harris

When Jesus’ precious name, so pure, so high,
Is cast in vain upon the heedless air,
The heart of those redeemed cannot forbear
But split in twain beneath a mournful sky.
A sacred sound, once sung by heavens’ choir,
Profaned by lips that know not what they say,
Becomes a wound where grace has lost its way,
A thorn to pierce the soul with quiet fire.

Yet still the faithful hold that name most dear,
A balm for sin, a light through darkest strife,
And weep when careless tongues its glory mar.
For in that word resides their hope, their life,
A promise whispered soft through every tear,
To mend the riven heart and guide it far.
