Title: “A Sonnet of Spring’s Awakening, Where the Eternal King Weaves Wonders in His Royal Heirs for Mighty Exploits”

This sonnet celebrates the transformative power of God, depicted as an eternal King who ushers in a spiritual spring, renewing the soul with vibrant imagery of blooming flowers (lilacs, daffodils, jasmine, roses, tulips) and flowing rivers. It portrays God’s royal authority awakening wonders within the speaker and His people, who, as royal heirs, rise to perform mighty deeds. The poem intertwines natural rebirth with divine empowerment, culminating in a triumphant declaration of God’s reign soaring through His chosen ones.

Bible References

  1. Daniel 11:32 – “But the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”
  • This verse directly inspires the theme of “mighty exploits” performed by those who know God, reflected in the second quatrain where the heirs “ascend” and their deeds “bloom like roses.”
  1. Psalm 104:30 – “When You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the earth.”
  • The imagery of spring’s renewal and God’s breath unfurling life (e.g., “Your royal breath unfurls a jasmine sea”) echoes this idea of divine creation and rejuvenation.
  1. Revelation 1:6 – “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
  • The concept of believers as “royal heirs” with regal might ties to this passage, emphasizing our shared royalty with Christ, as seen in the poem’s focus on being “robed in You” and crowned by God.
  1. Isaiah 43:19 – “Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
  • The line “a river leaps from stone, a living spring” reflects this promise of new beginnings and miraculous transformation, paralleling spring’s awakening in the sonnet.
  1. Psalm 45:1-2 – “My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King… You are fairer than the sons of men; grace is poured upon Your lips.”
  • The sonnet’s praise of the “eternal Sire” and the fragrant, regal imagery (e.g., “purple sceptres high”) resonate with this poetic exultation of the King’s beauty and authority.

A throne of spring ascends o’er shattered frost,
Where lilacs blaze with purple sceptres high,
In me, O King, weave wonders none exhaust,
My spirit crowned beneath Your fragrant sky.

Through golden tides of daffodils that bend,
Your royal breath unfurls a jasmine sea,
We, robed in You, with regal might ascend,
Our exploits bloom like roses, wild and free.

The tulip fields bow low to Your command,
A kingdom’s pulse where petals softly sing,
In us, Your heirs, Your sovereign hand expands,
A river leaps from stone, a living spring.

Lord, fuse my heart to Yours, eternal Sire,
Through us, Your royal heirs, Your reign shall soar.

Inspired by Song of Solomon 2:8 (KJV), “The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills,” the sonnet describes the Savior calling His royal redeemed with a voice of love, leaping boldly across hills to reach them. His vast love—deep as the skies, high as grace, wide as the earth, and broad with joy—transforms them into golden treasures. They bloom like rare gardens, their scent surpassing spiced wine, and stand strong as towering cities, adorned in purple robes. As His chosen ones, their regal beauty captivates His gaze, claiming His heart forever. His unending voice declares them His delight and own, beyond even death’s reach.

He calls aloud, “My love, My dove, arise,”
From hills He leaps, His steps so swift and bold,
His deep love spans beneath the endless skies,
His height of grace remakes them all to gold.
Royally redeemed bloom like gardens rare,
Their scent ascends beyond the spiced wine’s stream,
His wide love folds the earth in tender care,
Its breadth awakes their joy as in a dream.
Royally redeemed stand firm as cities tower,
His only one, in purple robes they glow,
Their beauty holds His gaze with regal power,
His heart they claim, where endless love will grow.
His voice rings out, no death can break its tone,
His royal redeemed, His delight, His own.

The poem celebrates the arrival of spring as a divine gift from Christ the Creator. It begins with winter’s frost stepping aside, giving way to new green life and the sun’s warm touch, a reflection of Christ’s power. Birds sing and brooks flow, both crafted by His hands, while flowers like crocuses and cherry blossoms burst forth, praising His might. The air fills with a sweet, sacred fragrance, inspiring awe and joy. Spring emerges as a vibrant, verdant display of Christ’s artistry, culminating in a vision of His creation as a supreme masterpiece, part of His holy design.

The frost recedes, a pause in winter’s hold,
As tender green emerges, soft and free,
The sun, His golden touch from Christ retold,
Revives the earth with warmth’s eternity.
Through branches bare, the robins weave their song,
A chorus stitched by hands that shaped the dew,
The brooks, unbound, now dance and rush along,
Their silver laughter born of Heaven’s view.
In fields, the crocus lifts its purple flame,
While cherry blooms exalt the Creator’s might,
The air grows sweet with spring’s divine acclaim,
A fragrant hymn from Christ, the soul’s delight.
So spring arrives, His gift in verdant gleam,
Christ’s artistry, a masterpiece supreme.

The poem depicts a rare group of Spirit-led royal souls, surrounded by a vivid lavender mist and a golden stream, who feast on God’s word. Through their humble act of esteeming each other better than themselves, they glorify God.

A lavish lavender mist unfurls its gleam,
Royal souls, so rare, Spirit-led, ablaze,
Feasting on God’s word by a golden stream,
Esteeming each other, God’s glory they raise.

Title: “The Love of God”
Summary: This Shakespearean sonnet portrays the love of God as a divine garden, rich with floral imagery and intoxicating fragrances. The first quatrain introduces crimson roses and jasmine, their scents rising like prayers to symbolize God’s tender love piercing through darkness. The second quatrain features lilies and violets, their sweet perfumes and vibrant hues reflecting grace and mercy that nurture broken souls. The third quatrain brings lavender’s calming scent and honeysuckle’s golden balm, illustrating God’s peace and anointing presence. The final couplet concludes with an image of an evergreen garland, affirming God’s eternal, glorious love woven through every bloom. The poem intertwines vivid flower imagery with spiritual depth, celebrating divine love as both beautiful and fragrant.

The rose unfurls its crimson heart at morn,
A fragrant hymn that drifts on velvet air,
Thy love, like jasmine, blooms where night is torn,
Its tender scent a whisper soft and fair.

The lily bends with dew, a chalice sweet,
Its perfume weaves through meadows green and wide,
In violet’s sigh, Thy grace and mercy meet,
A garden vast where broken souls abide.

Through fields of lavender, Thy peace extends,
Each purple stalk a note of sacred calm,
The honeysuckle’s breath with sunlight blends,
Its golden drops anoint like holy balm.

Thy love, O Lord, a garland ever green,
In every bloom, Thy glory reigns serene.

A heart attuned, by Christ’s own hand made soft,
A gift divine, to feel where shadows fall,
He tunes the soul to hear the whispers oft,
The sighs of earth, the Spirit’s gentle call.
Through tears and joy, the process carves its way,
Each wound a quill, each grace a line to sing,
A tender heart learns mercy day by day,
And crafts its verse to glorify the King.
Where others pass, unmoved by silent cries,
This poet sees, with eyes by Jesus lent,
The beauty veiled, the pain that underlies,
And weaves it all to hymns of sweet assent.
So from His touch, a fragile strength is born,
A voice to reign in triumph evermore.

The emerald trees in silent grandeur stand,
Their jeweled leaves a canopy of light,
A whispered song of nature’s gentle hand,
That weaves through day and cradles soft the night.
Each bough a brushstroke, verdant, bold, and free,
In sunlight’s glow, they shimmer like the sea,
A tide of green where shadows dance and play,
A living art no mortal could decree.
Their roots entwine the earth in deep embrace,
A timeless bond through seasons’ ceaseless flight,
They hold the wind, the rain, the sky’s wide grace,
And gift the world a canopy of might.
Oh, emerald trees, your beauty reigns so grand,
All praise to God, who shaped you by His hand.

Symphony Of Wings And Praise by Debbie Harris

The dawn awakes with feathered voices sweet,
A symphony of joy ascends the skies,
The sparrow trills where golden sunrays meet,
Her chirps a hymn of praise that never dies.
The robin swells with notes so warm and clear,
A flute-like call to greet the newborn day,
While bluebirds weave their melodies sincere,
In lilting chords, their gratitude convey.

The wren, so small, belts out a mighty tune,
The cardinal’s whistle paints the air with fire,
A lark ascends beneath the waning moon,
Each voice a thread in nature’s holy choir.
Together, finch and thrush and dove unite,
To sing their hearts to Him in pure delight.

When True Biblically Sourced Beauty Ceases To Exist, The Definition Of Beauty Becomes A Marred Metaphoric Tragedy And Travesty For A Nation, Individual, Or Society Who Has Turned Their Back On Our Triune God Who Is Abounding With Excellence, Salvation, Beauty,Light, And Love by Debbie Harris

When true Biblically sourced beauty tragically ceases to exist

in nations, individuals, and societies, know this, that nation, individual,

or society has tragically turned its back on our living, beauty-filled, Holy

Triune God. A profane, blasphemous, and unholy Art becomes a tragedy

and travesty, a metaphor for a nation, individual, and society who has turned

their back on our Triune God who is abounding with Salvation, excellence,

beauty, light, and love! For the glorious divine signature of our Triune God is

new creature restoration, Holiness, transformation, and order! True

recognizable, authentic, verifiable, unquestionable, Biblically aesthetic,

artistic, exquisite, proven Holy, Christ-honoring beauty always points hearts,

minds, and lives to God and edifies the soul with beauty, order, and design!
