Jesus, victor of my soul,
Starts my race with joy untold,
Cross upheld, His triumph reigns,
Writes my freedom, crowns my gains.
Eyes on Him, through life I rise,
Faith’s great Author, crowned in skies.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12: 2 (KJV)

Look steadfast to the One who carved our creed,
The Author of our faith, its perfect guide,
Who penned salvation’s tale in every deed,
And finished it where mortal hopes abide.
For joy unseen, He bore the cross’s pain,
Despising shame, a crown of thorns He wore,
Through anguish deep, He broke the sinner’s chain,
And rose to sit where glory reigns evermore.
His eyes, our beacon through the storm’s dark strife,
His hands, the chisel shaping souls anew,
From dust to grace, He authors endless life,
A work divine no shadow can undo.
So fix your gaze on Him, the race to run,
Till faith’s great Finisher declares it won.

A soul ascends, though praise is spare,
God’s whisper lifts through doubt and care,
No mortal word need light their way,
Divine strength crowns their every day.

Mercy’s Reign, Where Kings and Queens Arise by Debbie Harris

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

The dawn ignites the sky with golden fire,
His mercies blaze, a victor’s clarion call,
Each morning crowns us kings and queens withal,
Compassion reigns, our foe’s defeat entire.
No chain can bind where grace lifts ever higher,
The night is crushed beneath His mighty thrall,
An anthem swells—His love shall conquer all—
We rise anew, unshackled from the mire.

Let tempests roar, they break on steadfast shore,
His faithfulness a well that won’t run dry,
Each day proclaims the triumph we adore.
Through every clash, His mercy’s strength we bear,
For in His light, we soar forevermore,
Victorious heirs of joy beyond compare.

Each Day A Petal’s Grace by Debbie Harris

Beneath a sky of endless sapphire hue,
Where gentle breezes dance with blades of green,
A tender shoot in Christ breaks softly through,
Its vibrant leaves in sunlight’s glow serene.
His love, a stream of crystal, winds its way,
Through fields of gold where wildflowers sway,
Each dawn unfurls a petal’s fresh display,
A new self born in beauty every day.
The air hums sweet with honeyed notes of spring,
A lark ascends, its song a soaring flame,
In steady growth, our hearts begin to sing,
Refashioned whole within His holy name.
From soil rich with grace, we rise anew,
A living bloom beneath Heaven’s boundless blue.

Voice Of Valor by Debbie Harris

Upon the tongue of one who dares to speak,
A tale of wounds, by shadowed past engraved,
The heart unveils what silence long has staved,
Not frail, but bold, though scars may render weak.
The world, too swift, presumes a mind so meek,
A victim’s cloak forever to be waved,
Yet strength resides where truth is bravely paved,
To heal, to warn, not merely pity seek.
But oh, the edge where courage turns to chain,
When pain becomes the banner ever flown,
A soul entombed in grief’s unyielding reign.
Still, let us judge not haste by voice alone—
For some, to name their storm is to regain,
A life reborn from ashes overthrown.

The Weaver’s Thread by Debbie Harris

Amid the shadows where our sorrows bloom,
The hand divine does weave a silent thread,
Through tears and trials, though we dread the gloom,
A purpose grows where mortal hopes have bled.

The sting of grief, a chisel sharp and cold,
Carves strength within the soul’s unyielding stone,
Each wound a tale of mercy yet untold,
Each scar a seed in sacred soil sown.

When tempests rage and break the heart apart,
His quiet grace sustains through every cry,
For pain, though fierce, refines the fragile art,
A furnace where our truest selves comply.

So trust the One who shapes both joy and strain,
For God, in love, turns loss to endless gain.

When Art Was Light by Debbie Harris

Gustav Dore L’Ascension 1883 Bob Jones University Museum and Art Gallery

Upon the canvas, once a sacred fire,
A brush did dance to lift the spirit high,
Through beauty’s grace, the soul would then aspire,
To realms where mortal cares and shadows die.
No jarring clash, no discord’s bitter sting,
But harmony in hues of light arrayed,
A silent hymn the heart could softly sing,
In marble carved, or golden tones displayed.
Yet now the muse seeks oft to rend, to break,
To shock the mind from slumber’s dull repose,
But lost, perchance, the stillness art could wake,
When once it bloomed like petals of a rose.
Let art ascend again, its purpose true,
To mend the soul with heaven’s boundless view.

Triumphant Resilience Divine by Debbie Harris

Amid the tempest’s roar and shadows deep,
A shepherd stands, his sling a humble arc,
Goliath falls, a titan swept from sleep,
By faith’s small stone that splits the thund’ring dark.
Esther, aglow, a star in Persia’s night,
Defies the snare with beauty’s fearless grace,
Her voice—a blade—turns doom to dawned delight,
The scepter gleams, and vict’ry crowns her face.
Job’s ashes fade beneath a sky reborn,
His trust, a root through barren earth held fast,
Till blessings burst like rivers after scorn,
A golden hymn to drown the dirge at last.
Holy resilience reigns with divine might,
Triumph eternal crowns the endless light.

The Jubilant Crowns Of Heaven by Debbie Harris

Title: “Wreath of the Unbroken”

  • Highlights the endurance and unbroken faith of those who earn this crown through trials and martyrdom.

For those who bear the trials of the earth,
The flames of pain, the chains of cruel disdain,
A crown awaits, a token of rebirth,
To soothe the scars and wash away the stain.
Through tempests fierce, their faith did never bend,
Though death itself stood knocking at the gate,
Their love for Him held steadfast to the end,
A victor’s prize beyond all mortal hate.
No sword can dim the light within their soul,
Nor grief erase the promise they embrace,
For Heaven crafts this wreath to make them whole,
A radiant band of everlasting grace.
This Crown of Life, to martyrs gently given,
Adorns the brave who fought their way to Heaven.

The Crown of Righteousness

Title: “Garland of the Watchful”

  • Emphasizes the vigilant, hopeful waiting of the righteous for Christ’s return.

The righteous soul, with eyes on distant skies,
Awaits the Lord with every breath and prayer,
No worldly lure can dim its hopeful cries,
For purity becomes its garments fair.
Through days of toil, it walked a narrow road,
Unswayed by sin, unbowed by fleeting gain,
Each step a seed of holiness bestowed,
Each thought a shield against the tempter’s reign.
The trumpet sounds, the Savior splits the air,
And those who longed shall see His face at last,
A crown shall gleam where once was only care,
A righteous wreath for futures now made past.
To those who ran with love until the end,
This crown shall shine where time and tears transcend.

The Crown of Glory

Title: “Circlet of the Shepherd”

  • Captures the pastoral care and leadership tied to this crown, bestowed by the Chief Shepherd.

The shepherd tends his flock with tender hand,
Through storm and dark, he leads with humble might,
His voice a balm across a weary land,
His staff a guide to bring them to the light.
No pride he seeks, no treasure but their peace,
He bears their woe, their burdens all his own,
With every tear, his gentle cares increase,
Till Heaven calls him to the Shepherd’s throne.
The Chief Himself, with glory in His gaze,
Shall place this crown upon the faithful brow,
A wreath unfading through eternal days,
Reward for love fulfilled in sacred vow.
This Crown of Glory shines for those who serve,
A shepherd’s prize no honor can deserve.

The Incorruptible Crown

Title: “Victor’s Band Eternal”

  • Reflects the enduring victory and discipline of the spiritual race, contrasting with fleeting earthly rewards.

The runner strives, his sinews taught and strained,
Against the flesh that pulls him to the dust,
With discipline, his spirit is unchained,
His heart a flame that overcomes all rust.
No fading wreath of laurel crowns his head,
Like athletes bound to earth’s decaying cheer,
But gold divine, by higher hands instead,
A prize for those who conquer mortal fear.
Each lust subdued, each vice at last undone,
He runs the race with eyes on boundless skies,
Till at the line, the endless day begun,
A victor’s crown in Heaven’s courts shall rise.
Incorruptible, this garland shall abide,
For those who fought with Christ beside their side.

The Crown of Rejoicing

Title: “Halo of the Sower”

  • Ties to the agricultural imagery of sowing seeds and the joy of reaping souls for Christ.

The sower casts his seed on stony ground,
Yet prays for fruit where barren hearts reside,
His words of truth in darkened souls are found,
Till faith takes root and blooms on every side.
Each one he wins becomes his joyful boast,
A harvest reaped from tears and fervent care,
Their newborn praise ascends to Heaven’s host,
A symphony of grace beyond compare.
No gold he seeks, but souls to call his own,
Their salvation gleams as crowns within his sight,
For in their song, his triumph is made known,
A shared delight in everlasting light.
This Crown of Rejoicing gilds his brow with pride,
Who sowed the word that brought souls to Christ’s side.
