Souls for Jesus: Our Eternal Purpose, Sacred Privilege, and Unquenchable Passionate Mission in the Harvest Fields by Debbie Harris

Souls for Jesus! This is our purpose,
Etched in the stars by the Father’s hand,
A calling that echoes through time’s vast circuit,
To seek the lost in every land.
From the throne of grace, the mandate rings clear,
Go forth, disciple, draw them near.

Souls for Jesus! This is our privilege,
A sacred honor, a crown to wear,
Not earned by might, but by His bridge—
The cross that tore the veil in prayer.
We stand as ambassadors, clothed in light,
Bearing the Gospel through day and night.

Souls for Jesus! This is our passionate mission,
A flame unquenched by storm or doubt,
Hearts ablaze in holy ignition,
Shouting His love where shadows shout.
In streets and fields, the harvest waits,
Ripe with souls at heaven’s gates.

Awaken, believer, to the urgent plea,
The fields are white, the workers few (John 4:35),
With Bible in hand and bent on knee,
Proclaim the One who makes all new.
From city sprawl to desert sand,
Win them for Christ with outstretched hand.

No greater joy than a soul reborn,
Baptized in waters of grace divine,
Freed from chains where sin had torn,
Now walking paths where angels shine.
Our purpose pulses in every vein,
Privilege lifts us through joy and pain.

Souls for Jesus—let the chorus swell,
In boardrooms bold or prison cell,
A mission passionate, truth to tell:
That Jesus saves from the grip of hell.
Unquenchable fire, let it burn bright,
Till earth’s last soul beholds the Light.

For this we live, for this we die,
Eternal purpose in His eye,
Sacred privilege, under sky—
Passionate mission, souls drawn nigh
To Jesus, King, forevermore,
In harvest fields, we seek, we soar!

In the quiet dawn or midnight’s plea,
We chase the lost on bended knee.
Souls for Jesus, our battle cry,
A privilege etched in heaven’s sky.

With hearts aflame, we boldly go,
Planting seeds where wild winds blow.
Passionate mission, divine decree—
To draw the wanderers, set them free.

From streets of stone to hearts of clay,
His love redeems, lights the way.
Souls for Jesus! Echo the call,
Till every knee bows, one and all.

The poem, under the jubilant title Jubilant Riches Unveiled: The Holy Scriptures as the True Christian’s Glorious Treasure Trove of Endurance, Encouragement, and Everlasting Hope!, exuberantly portrays the Bible as an incomparable heavenly treasure chest overflowing with spiritual riches exclusively for true believers in Christ.

It opens by likening Scripture to a divine vault of gold and jewels, evoking praise and joy (“Hallelujah!”) as it references Romans 15:4, emphasizing how ancient writings were penned to instruct and liberate souls.

The core stanzas celebrate three key gems:

  • Endurance as resilient diamonds and rubies, strengthened through trials.
  • Encouragement as flowing pearls and comforting whispers from Psalms and prophets, uplifting the weary.
  • Hope as a vast sapphire sea of eternal promise, far surpassing earthly wealth.

The poem culminates in a triumphant call to rejoice, dive into this opulent inheritance, and unite in song, affirming the Word’s living power as the ultimate crown of gold in Christ’s name—igniting jubilant faith and bold testimony for every disciple. Overall, it’s a rapturous ode to Scripture’s transformative bounty, blending biblical truth with vivid imagery of victory and delight.

In vaults of heaven, etched in gold divine,
The Scriptures gleam, a treasure pure and fine—
For every true disciple of the King,
A chest of jewels that makes the spirit sing!

Hallelujah! Burst forth in joyful praise,
These ancient words ignite eternal blaze:
“For all was written,” Romans cries with glee,
To teach our souls, set captive hearts free!

Endurance blooms like diamonds in the mine,
Forged in the fire of trials that refine;
Through storms and shadows, patience stands tall,
A ruby fortress, unyielding to the squall.

Encouragement cascades like rivers of pearl,
Comforting whispers in a weary world—
Psalms of triumph, prophets’ victorious call,
Lifting the fallen, enriching one and all!

And oh, the hope! A sapphire sea so vast,
Everlasting promise, holding steadfast;
No earthly riches compare to this delight,
The Bible’s bounty, our beacon in the night.

Rejoice, true Christian, in this opulent store,
Wealth beyond measure, forevermore—
Scripture’s embrace, our crown of living gold,
In Christ’s great name, our stories boldly told!

Dive deep, dear seeker, claim your royal share,
In every verse, God’s riches beyond compare;
Jubilant hearts unite in rapturous song,
The Word alive—our treasure, ever strong!

In shadows deep where doubts assail,
The ancient words like beacons hail:
“For I know the plans I have for you,”
Declares the Lord, a promise true—
Not harm, but hope, a future bright,
Jeremiah’s voice pierces the night.

Through storms that rage and valleys low,
The Psalms remind us: “Weeping may go
For a night, but joy comes with dawn,”
In God’s embrace, we’re never forlorn.
Romans whispers grace untold,
“In hope we wait, though trials unfold.”

Eternal light in pages penned,
Scripture’s gift: our souls to mend.
It lifts the weary, steadies the frail,
A anchor sure where tempests prevail—
Hope everlasting, divine and pure,
In every verse, our hearts endure.

The sonnet, titled A Sonnet in Tribute to President Donald J. Trump, Architect of Peace, is a 14-line Shakespearean sonnet that celebrates former President Donald J. Trump’s diplomatic efforts toward peace. It praises his leadership in fostering global harmony, specifically highlighting the Abraham Accords, which facilitated peace agreements between Israel and several Arab nations, and his summits with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un to ease tensions. The poem portrays Trump as a bold, visionary leader who avoided new wars, built bridges between adversaries, and pursued a world free of conflict. It concludes by affirming his lasting legacy as a president dedicated to peace, with his achievements etched in history.

In golden age, a leader bold arose,
With vision clear to calm a world’s unrest,
His voice, a beacon through the tempest’s throes,
To forge a path where nations’ hopes attest.

No wars anew did mar his steadfast reign,
Through Abraham’s accord, old foes embraced,
In Middle East, where once was bitter pain,
New bridges built, with enmity displaced.

His hand outstretched, he sought to mend the fray,
With strength and deal, he carved a calmer sea,
From Kim’s fierce north to lands in disarray,
He spoke of peace, a world from conflict free.

O Trump, thy name in history’s scroll shall gleam,
A president who dared to dream of peace’s theme.

In the Embrace of Freedom: A Sonnet Commemorating the Release of the Jewish Hostages 10-13-25 by Debbie Harris

The sonnet, titled “In the Embrace of Freedom: A Sonnet Commemorating the Release of the Jewish Hostages,” celebrates the liberation of Jewish hostages from captivity. It vividly contrasts their past suffering—described as being bound in “shadowed vaults” and “iron chains” under the grip of hate—with the triumphant moment of their release. The poem portrays their freedom as a divine, miraculous event, marked by a radiant light breaking through despair. It highlights their return home from Gaza, emphasizing the joy and relief of their safe homecoming, with families reunited. The sonnet concludes with a call for widespread celebration, attributing their liberation to a higher power, symbolized as “heaven’s hand.”

In shadowed vaults where iron chains did bind,
The echoes of despair once filled the night,
Yet from the storm of strife, a light divine
Breaks forth, unyielding, fierce, and burning bright.
The Jewish captives, long in terror’s hold,
Held fast by hands of hate and hollow creed,
Now taste the air of home, their stories told
In whispers soft, where once was only need.

Oh, miracle of mercy, swift and sure,
The gates swing wide beneath the desert sun;
From Gaza’s grip, they rise, renewed, secure—
Mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, one by one.
Let joy resound in every heart and land:
The hostages are free—by heaven’s hand!

In Awe of God’s Love, Unashamed for Christ and Word by Debbie Harris

The poem “In Awe of God’s Love, Unashamed for Christ and Word” is a heartfelt, hymn-like tribute to Jesus, inspired by Romans 5:8 (NIV) and Romans 1:16 (KJV, AMP). Written in four quatrains, it praises God’s greatness, acknowledges human frailty (“We’re dust, shaped by Your hand”), celebrates God’s intervention through Christ’s sacrifice (“But God… stepped in”), and commits to boldly following and proclaiming Jesus and the Bible (“Unashamed for Christ, Your Word we raise”). It honors Jesus and prioritizes God’s Word.

In humble response to God’s Word.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8 (NIV)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
— Romans 1:16 (KJV)

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek!
— Romans 1:16 (AMP)

O Lord, You are an awesome God,
We’re dust, shaped by Your hand,
Mere specks, yet loved beyond all bounds,
Your mercy vast and grand.

But God… but God… but God stepped in,
With Christ’s own precious blood,
Redeeming all who turn and trust,
Believing in Your love.

How can we ever praise You well?
Or bless Your holy name?
How can we show the love we owe,
To honor all You claim?

Through Your dear Son’s redeeming gift,
We offer back our days—
A life to follow Your true Word,
Unashamed for Christ, Your Word we raise.

Sonnet: Redeemed by Blood Divine by Debbie Harris

The sonnet Redeemed by Blood Divine, inspired by 1 Peter 1:18-19 (KJV), celebrates the redemption of humanity through Christ’s sacrifice. It contrasts the fleeting value of earthly treasures like silver and gold, which cannot free the soul from sin, with the eternal, priceless blood of the unblemished Lamb, Jesus Christ. Vivid imagery—crimson streams, radiant light, rivers from the skies, and shining stars—evokes the majesty of His sacrifice, which cleanses guilt and restores the soul. The poem emphasizes God’s boundless grace and love, portraying redemption as a divine act that secures believers as God’s cherished children.

I Peter 1:18-19 KJV

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

No silver’s gleam, nor gold’s resplendent blaze,
Could free the soul from sin’s unyielding hold;
Earth’s treasures fade beneath time’s fleeting gaze,
Their fleeting worth too frail to save the soul.
Yet see the Lamb, unblemished, pure, divine,
Whose sacred blood upon the cross was poured;
Its crimson stream, more radiant than sunshine,
Redeems the lost, their brokenness restored.
O grace that flows like rivers from the skies,
To cleanse the heart from guilt’s enduring stain!
His sacrifice, a beacon that outvies
The stars above, and breaks the captive’s chain.
Eternal love, majestic, undefiled,
Secures us as God’s own, His ransomed child.
