The sonnet portrays the Church as a rigorous training ground where warriors for Jesus Christ are forged, not a passive or timid retreat. These warriors, bold in faith, stand as a visible threat to Satan and his demons, rejecting subservience to society’s pressures. Armed not with violence but with spiritual strength, they rise as kings and queens in Christ, shattering evil’s hold and securing victory through His power despite persecution.

The Church is not a shelter for the tame,
Nor quiet nook where cowards seek their rest,
A training ground to lift Christ’s mighty name,
Where warriors bold for Jesus stand the test.

Their strength shines clear, a beacon Satan sees,
No muted souls—their voices rend the skies,
A threat to hell, they shatter dark decrees,
No doormats these, but heirs where glory lies.

No blade they raise, no mortal war they fight,
Yet firm they stand, his demons quake in dread,
In Christ they thwart the tyrant’s cursed might,
As kings and queens, with holy fire they’re led.

Satan beholds, his heinous reign undone,
Through Jesus’ power, their victory is won.

The Irrational and Demonic Sin of Antisemitism, Forged in Satan’s Dark and Heinous Flame by Debbie Harris

The sonnet, titled “The Irrational and Demonic Sin of Antisemitism, Forged in Satan’s Dark and Heinous Flame”, presents the undeniable truth that the persistent hatred against Jewish people is an evil, Satanic force. It depicts this hatred as irrational and baseless, driven by demonic impulses and rooted in Satan’s influence, as evidenced by historical atrocities like pogroms. The poem underscores that this is a heinous sin, not merely an assertion but a fact, blinding humanity to reason. The final line, “To stand against this sin, its chains unbind,” calls for active resistance to break the hold of this indisputable evil.

The hearts of men, with shadows deep entwined,
Do harbor hate, a flame without a cause,
Against the Jewish soul, so oft maligned,
A wrath that breaks all reason’s sacred laws.
No spark of truth ignites this bitter fire,
No fault justifies the endless scorn,
Yet demons whisper through the dark desire,
And innocence in anguish long is torn.
From ancient days to now, the curse persists,
A Satanic will that mortals blindly heed,
In pogroms, lies, and death’s unyielding lists,
The seed of evil grows in thought and deed.
Yet righteous hearts must rise, their strength combined,
To stand against this sin, its chains unbind.

The Demonic Ideology of Marxism Will Always Be Defeated by Jesus Christ King of Kings and Lord of Lords by Debbie Harris

The sonnet portrays Marxists as agents of a demonic ideology, threading their influence through government to erase Jesus and the Bible from public life. They scorn His Word, replacing it with a cold, godless creed, and seek to silence His praise. Yet, Christ’s throne rises undeterred, shattering their schemes. Drawing from Philippians 2:10-11—“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”—the poem climaxes with all foes floored in terror, every knee bowing, and every tongue confessing Him as King and Lord, ensuring Marxism’s eternal defeat by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Marxists weave their shadowed, crimson thread,
Through halls of power, cold and sternly wrought,
To banish Jesus, crowned in thorns and red,
His holy Word from public square they’ve sought.

The Bible’s pages, rich with truth divine,
They’d cast aside like leaves in autumn’s gust,
Replacing grace with doctrines serpentine,
A godless creed of steel and brittle dust.

Our precious Lord, once hailed on freedom’s stone,
Now veiled by hands that scorn His tender call,
They’d silence hymns with bureaucratic drone,
And bid the cross from every eye to fall.

Christ’s throne ascends, all foes in terror floored,
And confess Him King and Lord!

His Angels Guard You: A Sonnet of Heaven’s Host by Debbie Harris

The sonnet, titled “His Angels Guard You: A Sonnet of Heaven’s Host”, portrays a majestic army of angels, commanded by God, tasked with protecting the royal heirs of Jesus Christ—described as “God’s joy on earth” and the “apple of God’s eye.” This echoes Psalm 91:11-12, which declares, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” These heirs, cherished and sacred, face evil enemies, but the angels’ divine power ensures their safety, aligning with Hebrews 1:14: “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” Here, the heirs are those inheriting salvation through Christ.

The imagery is vivid and celestial: starlit skies, prismatic storm-like wings, gold armor studded with radiant gems (rubies and sapphires), and amethyst swords that “defend God’s eye,” a nod to Deuteronomy 32:10: “In a desert land He found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; He guarded him as the apple of His eye.” This protection is reinforced by Psalm 17:8: “Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings,” where God’s care mirrors the angels’ shielding wings in the sonnet.

The vastness of this angelic host draws from Revelation 5:11: “Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne…” Their might is hinted at in Matthew 26:53: “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and He will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” Together, these verses ground the sonnet’s vision of Heaven’s army blending fierce defense with tender care, culminating in their eternal guardianship of the heirs.

Above, where molten starlight crowns the skies,
A legion blazes, prismatic wings slash free,
Each storm-wrought plume a vow that never dies,
To guard Christ’s heirs, God’s royal legacy.
Their armor, gold, exquisite, gleams divine,
Embedded gems like captured suns flare bright,
Each ruby crowns the Savior’s sacred line,
Each sapphire hums with Heaven’s holy might.
Obsidian voids collapse beneath their stride,
Their swords, like amethyst, defend God’s eye—
The royal heirs—when evil foes arise.
Their gaze ignites with Heaven’s boundless flare,
Their wings a shield through tempests none can rend,
God’s joy on earth, the heirs, they ever tend.

The Blessed Hope Amid The Signs Foretold by Debbie Harris

The sonnet draws from Matthew 24, depicting the end-time signs—wars, earthquakes, false prophets, famines, and lawlessness—as the world darkens. Amid this chaos, the gospel spreads globally, a light before the end. At an unknown hour, the rapture comes with a trumpet’s call, lifting the faithful to Christ in hope, offering escape and eternal comfort to believers watching for His return.

The wars and rumors echo through the air,
The earth in tremors groans beneath our feet,
False prophets rise, their words a cunning snare,
While famine’s shadow stalks where once was wheat.
The nations clash, the skies grow dark with dread,
Lawlessness reigns, and love begins to fade,
Yet gospel’s light through every land is spread,
A beacon bright before the final blade.
In sudden hour, none but God can know,
The trumpet sounds, the heavens split apart,
The chosen rise where clouds in glory flow,
Caught up in hope to meet the Savior’s heart.
So watch, dear soul, though chaos grips the day,
His coming steals the faithful swift away.

The poem portrays Satan as the ultimate source of evil, ruling over a domain characterized by death, destruction, debauchery, lies, and deceit. It identifies him as the “enemy of souls” and the sole originator of all global horrors, emphasizing his pervasive and destructive influence.

Wherever Satan rules,

there is death, destruction,

debauchery, lies, and deceit.

The enemy of souls is the sole

A Sonnet of Lamentation and Yearning For The Return To Jesus Christ, His Holy Word, And His Most Sacred Ways Amidst A Modern Sodom and Gomorrah by Debbie Harris

The world, a mirror cracked by prideful hands,
Reflects a shadowed Sodom’s brazen glow,
Where virtue bends to vice in shifting sands,
And hearts forget the streams from which they flow.
Once walked a Man with words of piercing light,
His voice a balm, His steps a holy guide,
He called the lost from darkness into sight,
And bore the cross where sin and mercy vied.

Yet now we dance to tunes of hollow cheer,
Our altars cold, our lamps but faintly burn,
A Gomorrah blooms where grace once drew near,
And still His whisper bids us to return.
Oh, Christ, restore what folly has undone,
Thy Word, our dawn, Thy ways, our endless sun.

The Corrupted Nation’s Descent by Debbie Harris

The poem describes a hidden corruption within a powerful, seemingly grand system. Shadows infiltrate the core of authority, truth is suppressed beneath a deceptive facade, and a quiet, festering conflict undermines justice and righteousness. It’s a concise yet evocative critique of moral decay in a seat of power.

When shadows weave through halls of power’s core,
And truth lies buried ‘neath a gilded throne,
The rot runs deep, a festering, silent war,
Where justice bends, and righteousness is overthrown.

Steadfast Hearts Of God Rising Above The World’s Dark Reign by Debbie Harris

The sonnet explores the tension between divine belonging and a world dominated by evil. It begins by depicting the earth as a place shrouded in darkness, influenced by a malevolent force, yet asserts that those who belong to God carry an inner light and truth that protect them. The poem contrasts the pervasive grip of wickedness with the enduring hope and grace granted to the faithful, which allow them to overcome despair and mortality. It acknowledges the visible reign of evil but emphasizes the spiritual transcendence of God’s people, whose strength lies in divine will—a stronghold against sin. The sonnet concludes with a call to stand firm as God’s own, embracing a peace that sustains life eternally amidst worldly conflict.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

I John 5:19 (KJV)

The world beneath a shadowed veil reclines,
Where wicked whispers weave their subtle art,
Yet we, of God, bear light in steadfast lines,
A truth to shield the pure and faithful heart.
The sway of darkness grips the earth’s domain,
Its tendrils coil through every fleeting breath,
But grace divine bestows a bright refrain,
A song of hope that triumphs over death.
Though evil reigns in realms of mortal sight,
Our souls ascend beyond its fleeting reign,
For in His will we find eternal might,
A fortress firm where sin cannot constrain.
So let us stand, God’s own amidst the strife,
And seize His crown, o’er darkness reigning rife.
