A Sonnet of Lamentation and Yearning For The Return To Jesus Christ, His Holy Word, And His Most Sacred Ways Amidst A Modern Sodom and Gomorrah by Debbie Harris

The world, a mirror cracked by prideful hands,
Reflects a shadowed Sodom’s brazen glow,
Where virtue bends to vice in shifting sands,
And hearts forget the streams from which they flow.
Once walked a Man with words of piercing light,
His voice a balm, His steps a holy guide,
He called the lost from darkness into sight,
And bore the cross where sin and mercy vied.

Yet now we dance to tunes of hollow cheer,
Our altars cold, our lamps but faintly burn,
A Gomorrah blooms where grace once drew near,
And still His whisper bids us to return.
Oh, Christ, restore what folly has undone,
Thy Word, our dawn, Thy ways, our endless sun.

Sonnet: “For This Corruptible Must Put On Incorruption, And This Mortal Must Put On Immortality” by Debbie Harris

Based on I Corinthians 15:53 (KJV)

When mortal flesh ascends to glorious might,
Beneath a vault where stars in splendor blaze,
The eyes, reborn, drink deep of boundless sights,
A realm unveiled to everlasting gaze.

The mountains bow, their peaks in golden flame,
Oceans unfurl, their depths a jeweled expanse,
Each hue ignites, too vast for words to name,
A world remade in beauty’s fierce advance.

The winds bear songs no living ear could claim,
Through endless skies, the hosts of light parade,
Time’s curtain parts, all history aflame,
A radiant host in endless ranks arrayed.

And there we stand, with vision crowned anew,
To see the boundless sights immortality reveals.

Within our souls, a war of shadows reigns,
The sin and self, a stain we cannot flee,
Yet righteousness, a gift through sacred veins,
Bestows a dawn where once was misery.
Repentance turns the heart from darkened mire,
His strength sustains, a power bold and true,
Though flesh still claws with unrelenting fire,
The spirit lifts with grace that carries through.
His path we tread, imperfect till the skies,
He calls us His, though dust we yet remain,
Where once was sin, His mercy crowns us free,
A song of grace redeems our every strain.
O Christ, the Word who authors all our days,
Thy love redeems our steps with endless praise.

The Unshaken Truth Of Marriage As God Decreed: One Man, One Woman by Debbie Harris

A bond divine, by God’s own hand decreed,
One man, one woman joined in sacred rite,
A truth eternal, sown in holy deed,
To stand as one beneath His boundless light.
No mortal voice can shift this firm design,
For heaven spoke its will in days of old,
Two souls, distinct, in unity align,
A covenant no age shall e’er remold.
The world may drift with whims of fleeting day,
Yet God’s command endures, unshaken, strong,
Its purity no storm can sweep away.
So let this truth in every soul revive,
From Eden’s dawn, their union shall strive,
One man, one woman, blessed by God to thrive.

Wokeness Unveiled As A Demonic And Satanic Orchestrated Farce by Debbie Harris

The sonnet portrays wokeness as a deceptive, demonic force that ensnares minds with a sinful, oppressive creed. It describes how this doctrine, loud and zealous, obscures truth and enslaves the free, plunging the world into darkness. Yet, reason and clarity persist, breaking wokeness’ fragile hold and restoring sight to those deceived. The poem concludes with a call to end this orchestrated lie, allowing Christ’s truth to triumph and reclaim freedom.

A shadow falls, where wokeness weaves its snare,
Its garb is sin, not thinly spun, but coarse,
It bends the mind with dogma’s hollow glare,
A demon’s work through mortal tongues perforce.
This wokeness cries with fervor loud and bold,
Yet cloaks the truth in chains of zealous might,
It bids the free to kneel, their spirits sold,
A creed that turns the day to endless night.
But still the dawn of reason holds its flame,
To shatter wokeness’ frail and fleeting frame,
Restoring sight to those it sought to tame.
So let this orchestrated lie be done,
In clarity, its power overrun,
And Christ’s truth reclaim freedom’s place once won.

The Corrupted Nation’s Descent by Debbie Harris

The poem describes a hidden corruption within a powerful, seemingly grand system. Shadows infiltrate the core of authority, truth is suppressed beneath a deceptive facade, and a quiet, festering conflict undermines justice and righteousness. It’s a concise yet evocative critique of moral decay in a seat of power.

When shadows weave through halls of power’s core,
And truth lies buried ‘neath a gilded throne,
The rot runs deep, a festering, silent war,
Where justice bends, and righteousness is overthrown.

Sonnet: Wandering Far From The Sacred Word And The Will Of Almighty God by Debbie Harris

A creed emerges, bold yet strangely blind,
Unmoored from God, adrift in human schemes,
His Word, once life, now dust upon the mind,
Discarded for the glitter of new dreams.

No echo of His voice stirs in their song,
The scriptures lie unread, a muted plea,
While hearts, untethered, wander far and long,
From truth divine to hollow vanity.

The name of Christ is carved on empty stone,
A shell of faith, where warmth no longer dwells,
God’s law, a stranger, left to stand alone,
Replaced by noise of self-forged gospel swells.

How far they stray, who shun the sacred cord,
To lose His Word is to forsake the Lord.

The poem expresses that through Jesus Christ, believers are made whole and complete. It highlights themes of redemption through His sacrifice, the sufficiency of His grace, and the fulfillment found in faith. The sonnet contrasts the fleeting pleasures of the world with the lasting peace and unity offered in Christ, emphasizing that His love and truth satisfy all needs. It concludes with a call to follow Him, affirming that in Jesus, we find eternal satisfaction and purpose.

In Him we stand, a vessel fully wrought,
Complete in grace, no lack within our soul,
The Son of God, by blood our lives were bought,
His boundless love has made the broken whole.

No shadowed void remains where faith abides,
His light has filled the chasms of our need,
The cross, our bridge, where mercy’s tide resides,
In Christ alone we find our joy decreed.

The world may offer fleeting, frail delight,
Yet in His truth, our hearts are firmly set,
A holy union, sealed by heaven’s might,
No debt unpaid, no promise left unmet.

So let us rise, with Jesus as our guide,
In Him, forever, we are satisfied.

The poem depicts a nation reeling as centuries of hidden corruption are exposed, revealing deep decay and shaking its foundations. Amid this chaos, truth emerges as a piercing light, and Christ calls the faithful to stand firm. Despite crumbling thrones and overwhelming sin, the steadfast heart clings to grace, finding ultimate victory in faith when all else fails

When shadows long concealed at last unwind,
A nation trembles, centuries laid bare,
The rot of ages, festered deep, we find,
Its stench ascends to poison all the air.
Yet in this storm of ruin, truth holds sway,
A light unyielding pierces through the gloom,
The Christ eternal calls us not to stray,
His voice resounds above corruption’s doom.
Though thrones may crack and gilded lies decay,
Though justice weeps for sins too vast to name,
The faithful heart shall never fade away,
But clings to grace amid the raging flame.
So stand, O soul, when all the world’s undone,
In Him, the endless victory is won.

The sonnet praises the Lord as a faithful, mighty, and merciful presence, offering unwavering hope, strength, and refuge to those in need. It celebrates His eternal nature, outlasting time itself, and His just character, guiding the righteous with steadfast light. The poem concludes by proclaiming Him a source of peace amid life’s turmoil, inspiring a bold and freehearted song of devotion to His boundless sovereignty.

The Lord is faithful, new each morn His grace,
A steadfast hope that never fades,
His might resounds through earth and sky’s embrace,
A warrior strong whom glory aids.
Merciful, He stays His wrath with love,
Abounding kindness for our plea,
Our strength in toil, a fortress from above,
Our refuge where the weary flee.
Eternal, ere the mountains rose to stand,
His reign outlasts all fleeting days,
Just in His ways, upright His every hand,
The righteous find His light always.
Our peace He grants, as once was sworn of old,
A calm amidst life’s raging sea,
So sings my soul of Him forever bold,
The Lord of all, in whom we’re truly free.
