2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

In the hush of dawn, a quiet splendor breaks—
The beauty given, provisional excellence,
A glimpse of glory veiled in morning mist,
Where God, in mercy, clothes His own in this.

He calls us not by merit we have earned,
But by His own radiance, pure and bright—
An excellence that needs no added light,
Yet stoops to lift us from the shadowed night.

“His divine power has granted unto us
All things that pertain to life and godliness,”
Through knowing Him who called us by His glory
And virtue—grace upon grace, boundless, matchless.

Through every want, His hand is never slow;
He spreads a table in the wilderness,
Turns bitter waters into streams of grace,
And makes the desert bloom before our face.

The sparrow finds her nest, the lily stands
Arrayed in colors Solomon ne’er knew—
How much more shall He clothe and keep and guide
The children called by His own glory’s side?

O soul, take heart—whatever storm may rise,
The beauty given is promise, not disguise.
His excellence will never fail nor cease
To provide, sustain, and lead us into peace.

For every need, His fullness overflows;
In Christ, the Yes to every promise glows.
Through every doubt, through every fear and need,
His steadfast love will answer, intercede.

Rest here, beloved—He who called you near
Will hold you fast, will calm your every fear.
No trial comes where His supply runs dry;
His glory shines, His excellence draws nigh.

Sonnet of Worshiping God According to Biblical Order: All Things Done Decently and in Order Reveal God’s Character, Lifting Christ, Not Pagan Frenzy by Debbie Harris

ates worship that adheres to biblical order, revealing God’s character of peace and glorifying Jesus, while rejecting chaotic, demonic influences. It begins with believers gathering to offer psalms and teachings, using spiritual gifts to edify the church (lines 1-2). Tongues, when interpreted, build the congregation by making God’s truth accessible to all (lines 3-4). Uninterpreted gibberish and doctrines of demons that distort scriptures are condemned, as they oppose God’s orderly nature (lines 5-6). Instead, orderly worship reflects God’s heart of peace and truth, fostering love and spiritual light (lines 7-8). Prophecy is orderly, with one prophet speaking at a time to glorify Christ, rejecting pagan dances or seizures (lines 9-10). The Holy Spirit exalts Jesus, and worship remains harmonious through structured gifts (lines 11-12). The poem further contrasts demonic ecstasy, which breeds confusion, with peaceful, orderly worship that lifts Christ’s name and reveals God’s tranquil nature (lines 13-16). Finally, all acts of worship, driven by love, must be done decently and in order to exalt Jesus and promote spiritual growth for the entire church (lines 17-18

When saints in worship gather to adore,
With psalms and teachings, gifts to stir the soul,
Tongues, through interpreters, must sense restore,
Translating tongues to build for all the whole.

No wild, unmeaning gibberish may rise,
Doctrines of demons twist the scriptures’ role,
Orderly worship shows God’s heart abide,
To build the church where love and light enroll.

One prophet speaks, in turn, to glorify,
No pagan dance or seizure sways the ground,
For God’s own Spirit lifts our Lord on high,
In harmony, where ordered gifts are found.

No demonic ecstasy may seize the throng,
But peaceful order lifts Christ’s name in grace,
Confusion’s chaos sings no holy song,
God’s tranquil heart shines forth in worship’s place.

In all we do, let love’s true aim increase,
With order, lift our Lord for all prenant, I’ll expand the sonnet to an 18-line poem by adding a quatrain, allowing more space to emphasize “demonic ecstasy” versus “peaceful, orderly worship.” The rhyme scheme will be adapted to ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH II to maintain structure, with the final couplet preserved for closure. Below is the revised and extended sonnet, followed by notes on the changes and alignment with your requests.

Finalized Title (Unchanged):

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. (KJV)

The poem, titled Psalm 33:6 – The Glorious Symphony of His Creative Might, inspired by Psalm 33:6 (KJV), vividly portrays the creation of the heavens through God’s powerful word and breath. It depicts the heavens as a radiant, divine canvas where stars, galaxies, and nebulae burst into existence, crafted with brilliant artistry. Imagery of torrents, embers, mantles of flame, and shimmering hues illustrates the majesty and order of creation, banishing chaos. Comets and celestial bodies move in harmony, reflecting God’s sovereign design and eternal glory, culminating in a celebration of His unmatched creative genius.

By the breath of His mouth, the heavens took flight,
A canvas of glory flung wide through the night.
His word, like a torrent, surged boundless and free,
Carving the arcs of the stellar sea.

Stars burst in clusters, like embers that soar,
Kindled to blaze where no light shone before.
Each gleam a whisper, each orb a command,
Spun from the timbre of His sovereign hand.

The skies unfurled like a mantle of flame,
Galaxies curling, inscribed with His name.
Nebulae shimmered, in hues yet unseen—
Crimson and sapphire, with gold laced between.

No shadow of chaos could cling to the void,
His voice swept the dark, and its reign was destroyed.
The heavens, a chorus, resplendent, unbound,
Sing of His power in a hush without sound.

Comets like heralds streak trails through the deep,
Guarding the secrets His purposes keep.
Each sphere, each spiral, each radiant stream,
They blaze in the genius of His artistry divine.

The poem describes Heaven as a glorious, eternal reality radiant with divine light and love. It depicts Heaven’s gates of pearl and gold opening to souls, crystal streams and emerald fields blooming with divine beauty, and the Tree of Life bearing sacred fruit. Angels’ songs fill the air, free of pain or sorrow, as God’s presence illuminates all, uniting redeemed souls in eternal peace and joy, reflecting His grace and glory.

Beyond the veil of mortal sight,
Where endless day outshines the night,
Heaven gleams, a radiant sea,
Of love and light’s eternity.

Its gates, aglow with pearl and gold,
Swing wide for souls both young and old.
Each step resounds on crystal streams,
Where beauty weaves celestial dreams.

The air is song, a chorus sweet,
Of angels’ joy where hearts complete.
No tear, no pain, no shadow falls,
But peace enfolds its sacred halls.

Emerald fields in glory bloom,
With colors bright through endless room.
The Tree of Life, its fruit divine,
Bestows a taste of love’s design.

There, faces shine with stories told,
Of grace redeemed, of hearts made bold.
United, free, in boundless grace,
Each soul reflects the Savior’s face.

No sun, no moon, yet all is bright,
For God Himself is Heaven’s light.
His presence wraps in warm embrace,
The splendor of His holy place.

Oh, Heaven vast, where wonders soar,
A home where love shall reign forevermore.
In every breath, in every sight,
The splendors sing of pure delight.

A Call to Holy Awe: Worshiping the True Christ in Light of God’s Holiness, Man’s Sin, and the Truth of His Word by Debbie Harris

The poem, titled A Call to Holy Awe: Worshiping the True Christ in Light of God’s Holiness, Man’s Sin, and the Truth of His Word, explores the reverence due to the Biblical Jesus. It contrasts this with casual, inaccurate depictions of Him. Written in the third person, it depicts a sinner, humbled by God’s radiant holiness and his own sinfulness, as revealed by the unyielding truth of God’s Word. This truth sparks a holy fear, urging sincere worship of the true Christ—both Judge and Lamb, the Lion and the great I AM—rather than a tame, human-crafted version. The poem culminates in a call for the Spirit to transform the worshiper’s heart, leading to joyful, reverent praise that honors Jesus as the King of Kings!

The Lord in radiant splendor reigns,
His holiness no shadow stains.
Enthroned above, in glory bright,
He casts away the veil of night.

Yet man, a sinner, frail and torn,
In guilt and shame, by sin is worn.
His heart defiled, his ways astray,
He cannot stand in God’s pure day.

God’s Word, a sword, both true and clear,
Reveals the sin, yet draws him near.
Its truth, unyielding, stands supreme,
A light to guide, a hope to gleam.

This truth should stir a holy fear,
A reverent soul, a heart sincere.
To worship God, the King Most High,
Whose grace redeems the lost who cry.

Yet some with careless songs devise
A god to fit their fleeting eyes.
A Jesus shaped by mortal whim,
Not Lord of all, but tame like them.

The Christ of Scripture, Judge and Lamb,
The Lion fierce, the great I AM,
Commands the soul to bow in awe,
Not offer praise with shallow flaw.

O Spirit, break that heart of stone,
Draw him to worship God alone.
With trembling joy, his voice ascends,
To honor Jesus, King of kings.

The poem, titled “In Awe of the Triune God,” expresses profound reverence and gratitude for the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It begins with the speaker kneeling in “holy adoring grateful awe” upon truly knowing God. Each Person of the Trinity is celebrated in a dedicated stanza: the Father as the loving Creator, the Son as the redeeming Savior, and the Spirit as the guiding fire. The poem concludes by exalting the unified majesty of the Triune God, leaving the speaker humbled and enraptured in eternal worship. The five stanzas use vivid imagery and a rhythmic structure to convey spiritual intimacy and divine wonder.

When one truly knows our precious Triune God,
Heart unveiled, soul laid bare to His light,
All one can do is kneel in holy awe,
Adoring, grateful, lost in sacred sight.

Father’s love, eternal, boundless, deep,
Creator’s hand that shaped the stars above,
His mercy flows where broken hearts do weep,
A tender call, a whisper of His love.

Son of glory, Savior, Lamb divine,
Who walked the earth to bear our sin and shame,
His cross a bridge where grace and truth align,
We bow, redeemed, and magnify His name.

Spirit, holy fire, our guide, our breath,
Who stirs the soul with whispers soft and sure,
He leads us through the shadows of our death,
To dwell in God, forevermore secure.

O Triune God, in unity sublime,
Your mystery humbles every fleeting thought,
We kneel, enraptured, till the end of time,
In grateful awe of all Your hands have wrought.

Summary of the Sonnet: “Crowned in Celestial Splendor: The Faithful’s Stand in Holy Courts”

This Shakespearean sonnet, inspired by Revelation 3:11-12, celebrates the triumph of steadfast faith. It urges the faithful to hold fast to their beliefs amidst trials, ensuring their divine crown—symbolizing victory and divine reward—remains secure. The poem promises that the victorious will become unyielding pillars in God’s eternal temple, forever free from earthly struggles and bound to divine love. Their souls will be inscribed with God’s name, the radiant New Jerusalem, and Christ’s new name, signifying their eternal place in heaven’s glory. The sonnet concludes with a triumphant call to rise in divine light, claiming an everlasting place in God’s holy courts.

O hold thy faith, though tempests fiercely roar,
For soon the King in splendor shall descend.
Let not thy crown be snatched by doubt’s cruel lore,
But stand thou firm where righteous hopes attend.

A pillar shalt thou be in God’s great hall,
Unshaken, bound to sacred courts above.
No more to wander, freed from mortal thrall,
Thy soul enshrined in everlasting love.

His name divine shall on thy heart be writ,
With New Jerusalem’s bright, heavenly blaze,
Its gleaming walls where saints in rapture sit,
And Christ’s new name shall crown thy victor’s days.

So rise, O soul, in triumph’s radiant might,
And claim thy place within His holy light.

O Jesus, Savior, grace beyond compare,
Your love descends like light through stormy skies.
You bore the cross, our burdens chose to bear,
And in Your mercy, bid our souls to rise.

With every breath, Your kindness fills my heart,
Your sacrifice, the path to endless peace.
From sin’s dark chains, You set my spirit free,
Your boundless love will never fade nor cease.

Through trials deep, Your hand has led me still,
Your voice a whisper, guiding through the night.
In joy or pain, I bow to Your sweet will,
For in Your presence, all is pure delight.

O Christ, my King, with all I am, I sing,
Thank You, my Lord, for life, for everything.
