Upon the Mount of Olives, rising high,
Where ancient olives whispered sacred lore,
The Master paused beneath the dawning sky
And sent two servants to a village door.

“Go find a donkey,” said His gentle voice,
“A colt that never yet has borne a load;
Untie and bring him hither, make your choice—
If any question, say ‘The Lord hath need.’”

They found the beast as prophecy foretold,
And led him forth with garments softly laid;
Then Jesus mounted, humble, meek, and bold,
Fulfilling Zechariah’s words displayed.

Now down the sloping path the procession wound,
Through Bethany’s green fields and scented air;
The multitudes, with eager joy unbound,
Cut palm branches and strewed them everywhere.

Some cast their cloaks upon the dusty way,
A carpet royal for the coming King;
While others climbed the trees in bright array
To wave green fronds and make the echoes ring.

“Hosanna to the Son of David!” cried
The throng that surged like ocean’s swelling tide;
“Blessed is He who in the Lord’s name rides!
Peace in the heavens, and glory far and wide!”

The Pharisees, with hearts of stone and pride,
Looked on in anger, murmuring with disdain:
“Master, rebuke Thy followers!” they sighed,
“Such noise disturbs the city’s calm domain.”

But Jesus answered with a solemn tone,
“If these should hold their peace, the stones would cry;
For this is He whom prophets long have known—
The King who comes, though not with banners high.”

The city gates swung open at His name,
Jerusalem awoke in wild acclaim;
Yet in His eyes a deeper sorrow came—
He wept for her, foreseeing future shame.

“O Jerusalem, that stonest those who call,
How oft I longed to gather thee as hen
Her brood beneath her wing, but thou wouldst fall
To ruin, for thou knewest not thy Friend.”

The Temple courts received the gentle Lord,
Where children sang “Hosanna!” loud and clear;
The priests and scribes in jealous rage were stirred,
But could not quench the praise that filled the air.

Thus rode the King, not on a charger proud,
Nor with a sword to claim an earthly throne,
But on a donkey, in meekness unavowed,
To conquer sin and claim the world His own.

The palms that waved in sunlight’s golden gleam
Would soon be trampled under careless feet;
The cries of “Hosanna!” fade into a dream,
Replaced by “Crucify!” on Friday’s street.

Yet in this hour of triumph, let us see
The pattern of redemption’s holy plan:
A King who serves, who bends the lowly knee,
Who rides to die—to rise and save all man.

O Christian soul, take up thy palm today,
Not with the fleeting joy that crowds display,
But with a steadfast heart that dares to pray
And follow Him along the narrow way.

Through Holy Week’s dark valley may we go,
Bearing the cross He bore for our release;
That when the final Easter dawn shall glow,
We rise with Him in everlasting peace.

When I open Your holy, inerrant Word,
Gemstones tumble forth in radiant light—
Sapphires of truth, rubies of grace,
Diamonds of promise, shining bright.

I can hardly contain such holy wealth;
My heart overflows, my spirit sings!
Each page a treasure chest unlocked by grace,
Revealing the riches of the King of kings.

Birth Pangs of the End: The Whole World a Battlefield, Good Renamed Evil and Evil Renamed Good – Stand Firm, O Authentic Christ Follower, for Your King Draws Near by Debbie Harris

When the whole world turns to battlefield,
And good is branded evil, evil crowned as good,
When darkness dons the robes of light,
And bitter lies are toasted sweet,

Then the true follower of the Authentic Christ—
Not the faint-hearted, not the compromised—
Must rise with courage forged in heaven’s fire,
Victorious, unbowed, unashamed.

Stand firm for the King of Kings,
The Lord of Lords whose throne no storm can shake.
His trumpet call echoes through the chaos:
“Surely I am coming soon.”

The door stands open.
The signs blaze like birth pangs in the night.
Persecution swells, love grows cold,
False prophets whisper, nations rage—

Yet the one who stands to the end shall be saved.
Clothed in the armor of light,
Armed with the sword of the Spirit,
Shielded by faith that overcomes the world.

Lift up your head, O weary saint,
Redemption draws near on wings of dawn.
Though the battlefield engulf the earth,
The Conqueror rides forth—faithful and true.

Hold fast. Speak truth. Love without fear.
For He who promised is at the door.

We Grieve Not as Others: A Song of Triumphant Hope by Debbie Harris

When sorrow strikes like tempests fierce and wild,
And hearts lie wounded by the grave’s dark claim,
We lift our eyes beyond the mortal veil,
For Christ has triumphed—death is not the same.

Precious in His sight is the death of His saints—
Not lost in shadow, but in glory crowned;
The Father calls them home where joy awaits,
And heaven’s courts with resurrection sound.

We grieve, yet not as others grieve who mourn
Without the victory that Christ has won;
For death is swallowed up in life reborn,
The sting removed— the battle fought and won.

The Shepherd leads through valleys deep and long,
His rod and staff a banner raised on high;
He turns our mourning to a victor’s song,
And wipes each tear beneath the open sky.

Though winter’s frost may bind the heart in gray,
The seed of faith lies buried but alive;
In blazing dawn of resurrection’s day,
What death once claimed shall in His glory thrive.

No more the parting, no the final breath—
The grave is conquered by the risen King!
The Lamb is Light, and life has conquered death;
In golden streets the saints forever sing.

Lift up your head, O mourner, bold and free—
Hope is no fragile reed but anchor strong;
What earth has lost, eternity shall see
Restored in triumph with the heav’nly throng.

The Comforter descends with power divine,
And in the hush the Father’s victory rings;
For joy erupts where once the sorrows pine—
Beloved, rise! The risen Savior brings.

Rest not in darkness—claim the victor’s crown;
The veil shall rend, and eyes shall clearly see.
Precious the saint now safe in glory’s dawn—
We grieve with hope, for victory is ours in Thee.

From Drudgery to Divine Soar: How Declaring a Task for the Glory of Our Savior Grants Heavenly Wings Before the Work Begins by Debbie Harris

A task becomes a privilege
when, before the labor starts,
the heart declares with lifted voice
for the glory of our Savior!

No longer drudgery’s cold chain,
no longer burden’s heavy stone—
the soul is clothed in Heaven’s flame
and every step is winged, alone.

What once was toil in mortal dust
now sings as incense to the skies;
the hands that work, the feet that trust,
are carried upward where grace flies.

So let the morning’s first true word
be praise that turns the yoke to gold:
“For the glory of our Savior, Lord!”—
and earthly labor turns to soul.

Heavenly wings unfold in light;
the task, once small, grows vast with love.
What mortal eyes see only night
the Spirit sees as courts above.

Declare it boldly, child of grace—
before the hammer, brush, or pen—
and watch the ordinary place
become the very throne room then.

Keep Rising, Keep Proclaiming: We Stand in Victory Forever Held in His Hands by Debbie Harris

Rise, O royal one, blood-bought and scarred,
Authentic, born again—though the night is hard.
The battle is not gentle.
It claws. It burns. It blinds.
Arrows whistle, accusations scream,
Wounds reopen in the oldest dream.

Yet still—
We stand in victory!
You stand in victory!

The war was won when mercy bled,
When Love hung dying and rose instead.
The serpent’s head is crushed beneath His feet—
What rages now is rage in defeat.

The fight is brutal, the night is long,
Tears carve rivers where hope feels wrong.
Conscience condemns, the heart grows faint,
But God is greater—His truth won’t taint.

No condemnation can rewrite the score,
The cross has spoken forevermore.
We walk in Spirit, though flesh still fights,
Carrying scars that prove the Light.

Rise anyway.
Proclaim through grit and groan:

We stand in victory!
You stand in victory!

Not because the battle ever eased its hand,
But because the Conqueror already planned—
Every tear recorded, every blow repaid,
Victory not imagined—victory made.

It is finished.
Even when hell howls loud.
Even when gentleness hides in the crowd.

Rise.
Proclaim.
Stand.
Unbroken.
Unshaken.

Keep rising.
Keep proclaiming.
Even on the days when your voice shakes,
the declaration doesn’t.

We stand in victory!
You stand in victory!

Forever sealed in His blood,
forever held in His hands.

Ode Against Every Work of Darkness: A Biblical Cry to Hate Evil, Expose the Darkness in Its Every Form—Lawlessness to Anti-Semitism, Greed to False Teaching—and Call Forth God’s Justice by Debbie Harris

  • Psalm 97:10 — Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
  • Proverbs 8:13 — The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
  • Amos 5:15 — Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
  • Romans 12:9 — Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

O ye who love the Lord with burning zeal,
Arise! The summons rings through shadowed hours;
The ancient serpent twists in barren wastes,
His poison seeps, his realm of thorns devours.

In Iran’s iron seat, where fear holds court,
Tyrants grind the humble under heel,
Mock the heavens with arrogant decree,
And loose their fury on the wound they deal.

Yet God hath sworn in covenant of fire:
The proud shall fall, the wicked find no rest;
His patient arm, though long restrained, shall rise,
To break the oppressor, lay the proud to dust.

Behold their fortresses in ruin cast,
Their captains silenced by the avenging stroke;
The vital waters tremble at His tread,
As justice marches, clad in righteous smoke.

Against all evil in its lawless stride,
Injustice reigning, immorality’s flood,
Base anger unchecked, false accusations multiplied,
Envy and greed that thirst for others’ blood;

Lust’s burning chain and love of power and gold,
Blasphemy that mocks the Name most high,
The rising tide of Satanism bold,
And doctrines dark that demons multiply;

We war against the prosperous false gospel’s lie,
That feeds on love of money’s cursed root,
Lukewarmness choking churches till they die,
And hearts grown cold to Scripture’s living truth.
Show no mercy to anti-Semitism’s stain,
That turns against the seed that God did bless—
We stand as one ‘gainst every form of shame,
And call the darkness into righteousness.

Then lift the ensign high, of truth and grace,
Of mercy joined to unrelenting might;
Though strife endure through many weary days,
The dawn will come, and darkness take its flight.

Rise up, O faithful, girded in His strength!
Confront the lie, proclaim the living Word;
Till every knee within that darkened land
Shall bow before the risen, sovereign Lord.

The Lord reigns; let the earth be glad with fear;
He guards His own, and scatters every foe.
His justice flows as rivers ever clear—
Glory to the Lamb, forevermore. Amen.

The Great Cloud of Witnesses: A Heavenly Throng Encircling the Race of Faith by Debbie Harris

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)

Beneath the vault of heaven’s boundless dome,
Where silver stars in silent vigil gleam,
A mighty cloud of witnesses has come—
Not mist of earth, but souls in living dream.

They rise like dawn along the eastern rim,
Abel with lamb, his offering still bright;
Enoch, who walked with God and never dimmed,
Transported pure into eternal light.

Noah stands firm on waves that roared and broke,
His ark a cradle ‘mid the deluge’s roar;
Abraham lifts his gaze through fire and smoke,
Counting the stars that promise evermore.

Sarah laughs soft where barren years once reigned,
Her child a miracle in withered arms;
Moses ascends where Sinai’s thunder waned,
His face aglow with unconsuming charms.

Rahab’s scarlet cord gleams like a rose in flame,
A thread of mercy binding foe to friend;
The prophets, scarred yet singing God’s great name,
Their voices blend where earthly trails descend.

They throng the galleries of timeless air,
A vast assembly, radiant and vast—
Not spectators cold, but witnesses who share
The fire that kindles faith steadfast.

Surrounded thus, we shed our heavy chains,
The clinging sin, the weights that drag us low;
We loose the burdens born of doubt and pains,
And rise to run where living rivers flow.

The track lies clear, marked out by ancient grace,
Through shadowed vales and peaks of golden day;
With eyes on Him who fixed His gaze in place—
The cross’s shame, the joy that lights the way.

O cloud of glory, shimmering and near,
Your stories gleam like constellations wide;
We press on swift, for love has conquered fear,
And heaven’s chorus calls us to abide.

So run, beloved, with heart aflame and free,
Till we shall join that throng beyond the veil,
Where every witness bows in ecstasy
Before the Lamb who makes all sorrow pale.

Endless Treasures Hidden in Christ: In Whom Are All the Riches of Wisdom and Knowledge(Colossians 2:3) by Debbie Harris

To Pep—
dear friend, fellow poet, and faithful disciple in Christ—
who once spoke these words in gentle counsel:
“Study Christ, for His treasures are endless.”
Your encouragement still points the way,
especially mine, as it kindled and shaped my own seeking heart. I will see you in Heaven!

Colossians 2:3 – in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

In Christ the vaults stand open though concealed,
not barred to any heart that dares to seek,
but draped in gentle mystery, revealed
layer by layer where the humble speak.

All treasures of wisdom, old and ever-new,
rest hidden here—not strewn in fleeting dust
of mortal striving, nor in pages we pursue,
but gathered whole in Him, the living trust.

Knowledge glimmers like deep-buried gold,
untouched by years, unspent by passing days;
each truth a jewel that draws us from the cold
of self toward wonder, awe, and endless praise.

No doctorate can plumb these depths alone,
no counsel map the soul’s true remedy.
Study Christ—let every line be known
within His arms, where wisdom sets us free.

A gentle voice once spoke it clear and true:
His riches never fade, they multiply.
Turn here, O seeker, find forever new
the endless store that satisfies the cry.

For in Him hidden, yet unveiled to those
who knock, who seek, who rest before His face—
the treasures flow like rivers no one knows
until they drink, until their thirst finds grace.
