With bated breath,
I open my Bible wide,
To hear what God hath said,
And rise, renewed in triumph,
Victorious inside!

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psalm 91:11
For He, the Lord of heavens high and vast,
Commands His angels, radiant and fleet,
To shield thy steps where mortal paths are cast,
And guard thy soul through storm and calm replete.
Wherever thou dost wander, near or far,
Their wings unseen enfold thee in their care,
A silent host beneath the morning star,
To lift thee up from peril’s hidden snare.
No shadow deep, no arrow swift by day,
Shall pierce the armor of their holy might,
For in His will they watch, they guide, they stay,
A fortress wrought of everlasting light.
So tread thy road with heart both bold and free,
His messengers of grace abide with thee.

A whispering fiend, with malice soft and sly,
Unravels threads of faith once tightly spun,
Its shadowed claws beneath a starless sky,
Deface the vows to which our souls had clung.
The altar cracks, where once the light was sown,
By demon hands that mock the holy writ,
A chilling wind through sacred halls has blown,
And left the heart of man in gloom to sit.
The hymns grow faint, their echoes torn apart,
As doubt, a serpent, coils within the mind,
Yet still some embers glow within the heart,
A spark divine no darkness can unbind.
Though faith’s grand tower quakes and demons leer,
The soul’s deep root defies their reign of fear.

Greater is He who reigns in me,
Than all the powers of earth and sea.
A King enthroned in boundless might,
His glory blazes through endless night.
The world’s vast tempests howl and vie,
Its thrones of shadow stretch to the sky,
Yet falter ‘neath His sovereign gaze,
A radiance fierce, an eternal blaze.
Mountains tremble, oceans bow,
Before the strength I bear even now.
For He within, majestic, grand,
Holds dominion o’er every land.

Amid the visions borne of heaven’s flame,
Seven candles gleam in sacred line,
To Ephesus, thy love did once proclaim,
Yet now thy heart forsakes its first design.
Smyrna knows the weight of martyr’s crown,
While Pergamos with falsehoods dares to stray,
Thyatira’s vice pulls virtue down,
But Sardis sleeps, a watchman gone astray.
Philadelphia, steadfast, holds the key,
A door unbarred by mortal hands to claim,
Laodicea’s wealth blinds eyes to see,
Lukewarm, they spurn the Spirit’s holy flame.
To all, the call resounds through time’s great span:
Repent, endure—behold, the Son of Man.

Beneath the sun where ancient rivers flow,
A land of milk and honey softly gleams,
Through time’s deep vale, where prophets’ voices grow,
A precious state awakes from sacred dreams.
Her hills stand firm, with olive branches crowned,
Her cities hum with life, both old and new,
In desert sands, a nation’s heart is found,
Where skies of azure bless the chosen few.
Though storms may rage and shadows seek to fall,
Her spirit shines, unyielding, bright, and free,
A beacon built by hands both great and small,
Enduring still through all eternity.
So let us sing of Israel’s tender grace,
A jewel of hope in time and boundless space.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 4: 13-18 (KJV)
Let not your hearts be shadowed by despair,
O brethren, for the ones who sleep in peace,
Their silence holds a promise, pure and fair—
Through Christ, their souls shall find a sweet release.
For as He died and rose, defying death,
So too shall those who rest in Him arise,
When heaven splits with shout and holy breath,
The archangel’s voice shall pierce the skies.
A trumpet sounds, the Lord descends in might,
The dead in Christ shall first ascend on high,
Then we, still clad in mortal day and night,
Shall join them in the clouds, no more to sigh.
Eternal with our Lord, in air we’ll stand,
A hope unshaken, held by His command.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1 (KJV)
In Christ, no judgment casts its heavy shade,
For those who tread not flesh’s fleeting way,
But follow Spirit’s call, their hearts remade,
A freedom blooms where once was stern decay.
The law of sin, with chains of guilt entwined,
No longer binds the soul that seeks His grace,
For in His love, a pardon pure we find,
A peace beyond the world’s accusing face.
Through mortal steps, the flesh may pull astray,
Yet Spirit lifts us to a higher plane,
Where condemnation fades like night to day,
And life eternal flows through every vein.
So walk in Him, and fear no righteous rod,
For Jesus’ blood has reconciled us—God.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
By hearing wakes the soul to faith’s embrace,
A whisper soft, yet mighty in its call,
The word of God unfolds with boundless grace,
Through mortal ears, it echoes to enthrall.
No eye beholds the seed that stirs within,
Yet sound alone can plant the heart’s desire,
A sacred voice redeems us from our sin,
And lifts us high on wings of holy fire.
Each syllable resounds with truth divine,
A testament to power ever near,
The deafened soul begins to intertwine
With promises that conquer doubt and fear.
So faith, by hearing, blooms where words are sown,
And God’s own voice claims hearts as His alone.

Amid the storms that rage with darkened might,
When shadows cloak the soul in deep despair,
And mortal strength dissolves beneath the fight,
A whispered truth ascends the heavy air:
“But God,” the heart declares through trembling breath,
A sovereign hand that parts the tempest’s roar,
A light that pierces through the veil of death,
Restoring what the broken cannot restore.
Though chaos reigns and human hopes may fade,
His mercy flows where reason finds no way,
A rock unshaken, promises unswayed,
The dawn that turns the night to endless day.
So let the world its fleeting doubts proclaim,
“But God” remains my refuge and my flame.
