God will not tolerate evil—
neither should we.
We rise as dangerous warriors
against the kingdom of darkness, you see.

We proclaim with thunder and fire:
Truth is found in Jesus Christ alone—
our Lord, our King, our one desire,
the Name before which every knee is thrown.

He overturned the tables in holy rage,
scattered the merchants, exposed their shame.
He called the Pharisees a whitewashed cage—
tombs full of death, though fair in name.

He is not willing that any should perish,
but all should come to true repentance.
Yet if they refuse the Savior’s light,
Hell claims them by their own grim sentence.

It is time, O Church—arise, no more hide!
No more whisper or timidly speak.
Stand bold with me on the Savior’s side
and proclaim His salvation, strong yet meek.

A free gift that transforms the heart and mind,
renews the soul with heaven’s pure breath.
It breaks every chain that sinners may bind
and rescues the lost from eternal death.

So let us be dangerous, fierce in His love,
dangerous with truth that sets captives free.
Shout the holy ways of our God above—
Jesus is Lord for all eternity!

In realms of light where angels sing,
The Sinless One left glory’s throne,
To bear the weight of everything
That we, in darkness, called our own.

He knew no sin, yet stooped so low—
The Holy Lamb, the spotless King—
God made Him sin for us, the blow
Of wrath that only He could bring.

Upon the cross, the curse He took,
Our guilt, our shame, our every stain;
The Father turned His face, forsook
The Son who bore our endless chain.

Oh, wondrous swap in mercy’s plan!
Our sin on Him, His righteousness on us—
Now clothed in robes no eye can scan,
The righteousness of God, set free.

No more condemned, no more to fear,
In Him we stand, accepted, whole;
The great exchange, so pure, so clear—
He became sin to save each soul.

Imputed righteousness, divine!
Not earned by works that we have done,
But credited through grace sublime,
The perfect record of the Son.

The ultimate substitution made,
The Just for unjust, pure for vile;
Our guilty record on Him laid,
His spotless mercy on us smiled.

Let every heart with wonder cry,
“This is the love that will not fade!”
For He who knew no sin did die,
That we in Him be perfectly made.

Beloved, marvel at this grace:
The Sinless Savior bore our blame;
In Christ alone we find our place,
Forever sealed in His dear name.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

In realms of light where angels sing,
The Sinless One left glory’s throne,
To bear the weight of everything
That we, in darkness, called our own.

He knew no sin, yet stooped so low—
The Holy Lamb, the spotless King—

Upon the cross, the curse He took,
Our guilt, our shame, our every stain;
The Father turned His face, forsook
The Son who bore our endless chain.

Oh, wondrous swap in mercy’s plan!
My sin on Him, His righteousness on me—
Now clothed in robes no eye can scan,
The righteousness of God, set free.

No more condemned, no more to fear,
In Him we stand, accepted, whole;
The great exchange, so pure, so clear—
He became sin to save my soul.

Beloved, marvel at this grace:
The Just for unjust, pure for vile;

Ode to Heaven’s Gentle Rain by Debbie Harris

When heaven pours its silver streams,
A generous gift the Creator sends,
One lifts the face to catch the gleams
Of mercy’s shower that earth befriends.

The rooftops drum a steady beat,
A rhythmic song from realms above;
Each drop a note, both cool and sweet,
That stirs the weary earth to love.

The air grows heavy with the scent
Of petrichor, that wild perfume—
Damp soil and leaves in sweet consent,
A fragrance born from heaven’s bloom.

Upon the skin the droplets trace
A thousand chill and silken lines;
They wash the dust from barren space
And chase the drought from thirsting minds.

One tastes the rain upon the tongue,
A crisp and pure celestial wine;
As scripture falls where souls have clung,
It makes the barren spirit shine.

For as the rain and snow descend
To water earth and make it bud,
So does the Creator’s word descend—
It shall not return to Him void, but flood

The heart with life, with seed, with bread,
Reviving all that once lay dry;
In thee the hidden joys are fed—
One loves the rain from heaven’s sky.

Eternal Themes of Grace: A Classical Rhymed Reflection Upon Psalm 71:15 and the Soul’s Perpetual Song by Debbie Harris

Psalm 71:15 (KJV)
My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

In ceaseless strains the tongue shall raise,
Thy righteousness in endless praise;
Thy saving grace, from dawn till night,
Shall flood the lips with holy light.

O boundless sea of mercy deep,
Where countless waves in glory sweep;
The voice, though small, in faith stands tall,
Proclaims the wonders of it all.

For who can number, who can tell,
The deeds of Him who doeth well?
Thy justice shines like morning’s ray,
Thy salvation turns the darkest day.

Through every hour, in joy or pain,
The heart shall sing the sweet refrain;
Thy righteousness, Thy saving power,
Eternal themes from hour to hour.

Though mortal mind cannot contain
The vastness of Thy vast domain,
Yet still the mouth shall ever show
The glories only angels know.

Thus let the soul in praises live,
And in devotion ever give;
Till heaven’s choir in triumph rings,
And endless hallelujah sings.

Holy Saturday: Suspended Between Cross and Crown by Debbie Harris

The stone is sealed with Roman iron might,
A final barrier ‘gainst the world’s despair;
No psalm ascends, no flicker breaks the night—
The Word made flesh lies silent, cold, and bare.

In linen folds, anointed deep with myrrh,
The King of kings has entered death’s embrace;
His sacred form, once radiant, now interred,
Emptied of glory in this shadowed place.

Creation groans in sympathetic hush,
The sun itself in mourning veils its face;
Within the rock-hewn womb, the divine hush
Conceals the mystery of redeeming grace.

For while we weep with Mary at the door,
And scattered friends in fear and sorrow hide,
The promise spoken echoes faint once more—
“On the third day I rise,” though hope has died.

O holy silence, forge of purest gold,
Where hope seems slain and every promise dies—
Yet here the Victor, veiled in mortal cold,
Proclaims the triumph that the cross supplies.

We wait, suspended ‘twixt the cross and crown,
Our hearts a bridge ‘twixt sorrow and the dawn;
Teach us, O Christ, though joy is not yet known,
That victory lives within the cross’s power.

When dawn shall come and roll the stone aside,
The grave-clothes folded, witness to Thy power—
Then we shall know: in silence Thou didst bide,
And death itself surrendered in that hour.
