I Have Nothing to Glory In But the Cross of Jesus Christ by Debbie Harris

Summary of the Poem

The poem, inspired by Galatians 6:14, expresses the speaker’s rejection of worldly pride—wealth, power, wisdom, and fame—as empty and fleeting. Instead, it celebrates exclusive glory in the cross of Jesus Christ, portrayed as the ultimate symbol of divine love, redemption, and sacrifice. Through vivid imagery of the crucifixion, it contrasts human vanity with the transformative power of Christ’s death, which breaks sin’s chains, heals the broken, and offers eternal hope. The speaker vows lifelong devotion to this “scandalous” truth, culminating in heavenly glory.

(A poem inspired by Galatians 6:14 – “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.”)

In shadowed halls where empires rise and fall,
Where crowns of gold and thrones of pride enthrall,
I stand unbowed, my heart a barren field—
No harvest reaped from flesh’s fleeting yield.

The laurels wilt, the scepters turn to dust,
Ambition’s fire consumes in hollow lust;
Wealth whispers lies, and fame’s bright banner fades,
Leaving the soul in echoes of parades.

Yet one lone beam pierces the midnight veil,
A rugged cross where heaven’s mercies hail—
There, Love incarnate bled in crimson tide,
And bore my shame where justice crucified.

No boast in wisdom’s towers, sharp and high,
No glory in the strength that dares defy;
The world recedes, its chains fall shattered free,
For in that cross, my Savior died for me.

Oh, scandal of the ages, foolish sign!
The King of Glory on a tree divine—
Through splinters deep and thorns that crown His brow,
Redemption flows, and every knee must bow.

Let poets sing of stars and seas profound,
Let warriors claim the battle’s vict’ry sound;
I have no song but this eternal theme:
The cross alone, my hope, my light, my dream.

For by its power, the dead in sin arise,
The broken mended, blind receive their eyes;
In Christ alone, the veil is torn apart—
Nothing to glory in, but His wounded heart.

So let the ages roll, and tempests rage,
I’ll cling to Calvary through every stage;
Till faith gives way to sight in realms above,
And glory crowns the cross of boundless love.

The God Who Neither Tires Nor Falters: Song of the Everlasting One Whose Unsearchable Understanding Becomes the Inheritance of All Who Wait Upon Him by Debbie Harris

Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard,
The everlasting God, the Lord,
Creator of earth’s farthest ends,
Fainteth not, neither grows weary?
His understanding—no man can search.

He giveth power to the faint;
To them that have no might He increaseth strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary,
Young men stumble, fall—
But they that wait upon the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
Mount up with wings as eagles,
Run and not be weary,
Walk and never faint.

O boundless God, I stand in awe—
Thy oceans of might overflow my soul!
My heart, a trembling leaf, is lifted high
On eagle-wings of grace Thou dost bestow.
I thank Thee, Lord, with every breath I draw;
Thy greatness crashes like a tidal wave,
And in its roar I lose myself,
Found only in Thy love that saves.

Jesus, You are my hope—
the dawn that breaks the night,
my glory—crown of light
that turns my shame to white.

My victory—sword and shield
when battles rage within,
my song—melody unsealed
that silences my sin.

May praise rise like incense sweet
from heart and soul and mind,
a ceaseless flame, a steady beat,
all day long entwined.

In every breath, in every thought,
Your name alone I sing;
my hope, my glory, victory wrought—
Jesus, my everything.

To the Kind-Hearted,Especially Those Who Belong To The Household of Faith by Debbie Harris

In a world that often spins too fast,
you pause—
a gentle hand on a trembling shoulder,
a whispered prayer in the midnight hour.

You are the quiet ones
who carry groceries up three flights,
who text “I’m thinking of you” at 2 a.m.,
who leave the last cookie on the plate
and pretend it was never theirs.

You are the faithful
who rise before dawn to intercede,
who memorize verses not for show
but to stitch them into broken hearts.
Your faith is not a banner—
it is bread, broken and given.

To the neighbor who shoveled my walk
without a word,
to the stranger who paid for my coffee
when my card declined,
to the elder who called just to say
“God sees you”—

Thank you.

Your kindness is a lantern
in the fog of hurry and harm.
It does not shout;
it simply stays lit.

May every small mercy you scatter
return to you as a harvest of peace.
May the God who notices sparrows
notice you—
and smile.

With all my heart,
thank you.

From Ballot to Bondage: When the People Choose Their Chains by Debbie Harris

The poem is a stark warning: when people elect corrupt leaders, they seal their own fate. It depicts democracy as a funeral—ballots like coffin lids, promises as poisoned honey, and leaders as foxes, wolves, or thieves who loot the public while twisting justice. The masses, blinded by desperation and apathy, cheer their own ruin. The final call is urgent: wake up before complicity forges unbreakable chains, for choosing corruption is choosing self-destruction.

When nations elect corrupt leaders,
the ballot box becomes a coffin lid,
slamming shut on the pulse of the people.
Promises drip like honey from forked tongues,
sweet enough to blind the starving crowd,
while pockets swell with pilfered gold.

They parade in suits stitched from lies,
thrones built on the bones of trust,
siphoning rivers of public wealth
into private vaults that echo with greed.
Laws twist like serpents in their hands,
justice a whore sold to the highest bidder.

The masses cheer, hypnotized by smoke,
mirrors reflecting their own desperation.
Fools crown the fox to guard the henhouse,
wolves in wool, devouring the flock.
Democracy’s flame flickers in the wind
of apathy, extinguished by complicity.

Wake, ye sleepers, before the chains tighten—
for in choosing thieves, we rob ourselves,
and the republic bleeds from self-inflicted wounds.

A haiku titled Empty Tomb Dawn depicts Jesus as a carpenter crucified on a rough cross, with dawn revealing an empty tomb—evoking sacrifice and resurrection in three vivid lines.

Carpenter’s rough hands
Nailed to the splintered cross—
Dawn breaks, tomb lies bare

The Heinous Demonic Satanic Sin of Anti-Semitism by Debbie Harris

The poem condemns anti-Semitism as a demonic, satanic sin rooted in ancient hatred. It traces its history from Pharaoh and Haman through blood libels and the Holocaust, portraying it as a persistent, envy-driven evil that disguises itself in politics and denial. The work warns that this hatred defies God, brings divine judgment, and risks damnation for those who harbor it.

In shadowed vaults where hatred festers deep,
A venom coils, born of the serpent’s lie,
It whispers curses, bids the soul to weep,
And paints the Jew as foe beneath the sky.

From Pharaoh’s Nile to Haman’s gallows high,
The ancient flame of envy sparks anew,
In blood libels that stain the midnight cry,
And ovens’ ash where innocence once grew.

It dons the mask of politics and creed,
A satanic psalm in every bigot’s tongue,
Denies the Holocaust, sows dragon’s seed,
And crucifies the truth on crosses hung.

This sin, demonic, cloaked in human skin,
Defies the God who chose the wandering kin;
It scorches earth, yet heaven marks its end—
For every Jew despised, an angel weeps,
And judgment waits where mercy once extends.

Beware the tongue that spits this infernal gall,
Lest hell’s own gates yawn wide to claim us all.

Reclaiming Halloween For Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ by Debbie Harris

The poem reclaims Halloween from pagan and fearful origins, dedicating the night to Jesus Christ. It transforms traditional elements—jack-o’-lanterns, costumes, candy, and bonfires—into symbols of Christian faith, evangelism, and victory over darkness. Through light, prayer, scripture, and joyful witness, the Church declares Christ’s lordship, turning a once-shadowed eve into a celebration of resurrection and redemption.

The night once cloaked in shadows deep,
Where specters roamed and witches creeped,
We lift our lamps—His truth, His light—
And chase the dark with holy might.

No longer bound to fear’s old chain,
Nor pagan rites that mock the slain;
We claim this eve for Christ alone,
The King who sits upon the throne.

Pumpkins glow with carved-out praise,
Not grimacing skulls, but joyful rays—
A cross, a fish, a crown of thorn,
Proclaiming He who rose that morn.

Costumes trade the ghoul for grace:
A shepherd’s staff, a saintly face,
Disciples bold in robes of white,
Reflecting Heaven’s glorious light.

Candy shared with words of life,
“Jesus loves you—end the strife.”
Trick-or-treat becomes a call
To feast upon the Lord of all.

Bonfires burn, not spells to cast,
But prayers ascending, sins outcast.
We sing of resurrection’s power,
Defeating death this hallowed hour.

For every ghost that haunts the soul,
Christ’s blood has made the broken whole.
No demon dares to cross His name—
Halloween bows to the Lamb once slain.

So rise, O Church, reclaim the night!
With hymns and hope, with truth and might.
This eve belongs to Jesus now—
All Hallows’ Eve, we take our vow.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
—John 1:5

Summary of “Defenders of the Holy Faith, Clad in Celestial Resolve: A Grand Ode Based on Jude 3”

The poem, inspired by Jude 3, is a call to steadfastly defend the Christian faith as urged in the biblical text. It portrays believers as zealous guardians tasked with protecting the sacred truth of the gospel, which was entrusted to the saints. Despite challenges from falsehoods and skeptics, the poem emphasizes unwavering commitment to upholding the eternal light of Christ’s truth. It concludes with a rallying cry to proclaim and defend the faith with love and strength until Christ’s return, evoking themes of spiritual resilience, devotion, and divine hope.

Inspired by Jude 3

Beloved, rise with fervent zeal,
To guard the faith, the truth we feel.
Jude calls us, steadfast, to contend,
For sacred trust that knows no end.

Once delivered to the saints of old,
A treasure pure, more precious than gold.
With hearts ablaze, we stand our ground,
In Christ’s own truth, forever found.

Though shadows creep with subtle lies,
And doubters scorn beneath the skies,
We’ll hold the Word, unyielding, sure,
Its light eternal shall endure.

Contend, O soul, with love and might,
Proclaim the gospel’s holy light.
For faith entrusted, we’ll defend,
Till Christ returns, our hope, our end.

The Founders’ Faith Unchained: How the Bible Shaped America and a Rogue Deep State Sought to Divide It Through the Atheistic and Marxist Ideology of Church-State Separation by Debbie Harris

The poem asserts that the concept of separation of church and state is absent from the U.S. Constitution, portraying it as a fabricated notion pushed by rogue, godless deep state players who hate God and promote atheistic, Marxist ideology to divide America. It emphasizes that the nation was founded on biblical principles, with the Founders’ faith shaping its laws and liberty. The First Amendment only prohibits Congress from establishing a religion or restricting free worship, not from integrating faith into governance. The poem depicts the “wall of separation” as a myth, stemming from Jefferson’s private letter rather than constitutional law, and accuses those who champion it of trying to suppress the Bible’s influence. It concludes by affirming that America’s liberty and faith remain intertwined, undeterred by efforts to sever them, with no constitutional mandate for their division.

The Constitution’s text, so pure, so grand,
Carves no divide ‘twixt faith and land.
“Separation’s law,” they shout, they scheme,
Yet such a wall is but a dream.

On Bible’s truth our nation rose,
Its sacred light the Founders chose.
Their hearts, with godly wisdom fired,
Built liberty’s frame, by faith inspired.

No clause demands that faith retreat,
No line forbids where God and law meet.
Congress shall not establish, nor restrain,
Free worship—freedom’s core remains.

But rogue deep staters, God they spurn,
Hate fuels their hearts, their souls they burn.
They weave this myth, this “wall” they raise,
To tear faith down in godless craze.

Jefferson’s words, a private note,
Not law, yet schemers fiercely quote.
Their ruse would mute the Bible’s call,
And cast God’s truth beyond the wall.

Yet history stands, unyielding, sure,
Faith shaped the laws that still endure.
No split of church and state is found—
Just liberty on holy ground.
