The sonnet declares the Biblical fact that God created everything instantly and with purpose, as recorded in scripture, not through the falsehood of evolution. It opens with “In the beginning God created all,” directly stating the truth of Genesis 1:1 (“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”). Humanity was formed from dust and given life by God’s breath, a fact confirmed in Genesis 2:7 (“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life”), distinct and intentional, not derived from any random or animal origin.

Evolution is exposed as a Satanic lie that seeks to degrade human dignity, a deception akin to 2 Corinthians 11:3 (“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ”). The sonnet proclaims that creation bears God’s name and will, as Psalm 33:6 affirms (“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth”), leaving no room for evolutionary tales.

Adam was created by God’s grace, a truth recorded in Genesis 1:27 (“So God created mankind in his own image”), and all of nature was fixed by divine command, as seen in Genesis 1:3 (“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light”). “By fiat spoke” reflects this immediate act of God’s word, and the sonnet closes with the unchanging fact of Isaiah 40:8 (“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever”), calling for the rejection of the blasphemous evolutionary lie that human arrogance dares to raise against God’s eternal truth.

In the beginning God created all,
From dust to man, His breath gave life its frame,
No creeping chance, no eons’ slow parade,
But holy will, creation bears His name.
Yet Satan whispers lies to dim the light,
A tale of beasts, of man from mud evolved,
To strip the soul of dignity and might,
In arrogance, God’s truth stands unresolved.
The Scriptures sing of Adam, formed by grace,
No random spark, but purpose in His hand,
Each star, each bird, each blade in fixed embrace,
By fiat spoke, the heavens firmly stand.
So cast aside this blasphemy, this lore,
For God’s own Word endures forevermore.
