and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:28 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (KJV)
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
The sorrows of death compassed me, And the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: The snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psalm 18:4-6 (KJV)
The cords of death surrounded me, And the streams of ungodliness and torrents of destruction terrified me. The cords of Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress [when I seemed surrounded] I called upon the Lord And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry for help came before Him, into His very ears.
Psalm 18:4-6 (Amplified)
The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
Psalm 18: 4-6 (NIV)
The hangman’s noose was tight at my throat; devil waters rushed over me. Hell’s ropes cinched me tight; death traps barred every exit. A hostile world! I call to God, I cry to God to help me. From his palace he hears my call; my cry brings me right into his presence—a private audience!
Psalm 18:4-6 (Living)
Here is David singing His Psalm of praise to our Triune
God for deliverance from the hand of all His enemies
and from the demonic hand of Saul. O blessed deliverance
that God sent from all seeking to lie, kill, destroy, and
assail His chosen one. And so it is with each of us when we pray!
One call, one tear, one heart-felt distress we are brought into the
presence and throne room of our Lord and King where we are seen,
heard, bandaged, cared for, and sometimes delivered if it is our Savior’s
will by our blessed, precious, adored Triune divinity. Oh, blessed is the
deliverance from Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Oh, blessed is our Lord and
Savior who hears and sees our every trial, tear, temptation, trouble, test,
and tribulation. For every single distress, every single disease, every
single despair, every single demonic and unfair attack is seen and every
single prayerful tear brings us into the presence of our compassionate,
The LORDis my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;my buckler, and the hornof my salvation, and my high tower.
Psalm 18:2 (KJV)
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and the One who rescues me; My God, my rock and strength in whom I trust and take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower—my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2 (Amplified)
The Lord Jesus Christ is our rock,
our fortress, our deliverer, our one
and only God, our strength, our Shield,
our perpetual victory, our high tower,
our high place, our refuge, our secure height,
our divine, sacred, and Holy retreat! Oh saints
there is no God like our God. As royals of
Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords,
we have all we need in our precious, precious Savior!
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away!
2 Timothy 3: 1-5 (KJV)
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
