The Cry for Justice
When deeds so vile do stain the soul’s bright thread,
And darkness coils where mercy once held sway,
The heart, in anguish, lifts its voice to dread,
To call down wrath where evil dares to play.
Oh, righteous fire, from heavens high descend,
Let justice pierce the veil of wicked guile,
With thunder’s roar, let broken fates amend,
And purge the stain that festers rank and vile.
Yet in the storm, a whisper softly cries,
A trembling hope that grace might still abide,
For vengeance dwells where mortal judgment lies,
And peace alone can heal the soul inside.
So pray I thus, with fury and with care,
That truth prevail, and love outlast despair.
