The cross blazes forth, a lightning bolt of glee,
Where Christ, my Champion, smashed sin’s blackest throne,
His blood a torrent, wild and fierce and free,
A war-cry sounded, hell’s dominion blown!
No chains dare whisper, no doom dares arise,
For He has stormed the grave with blazing might,
Death’s skull lies crushed beneath His radiant eyes,
A vanquished shadow in His boundless light!
My sins, once leaden, blaze to ash and flame,
His glory forges me through sacred fire,
Sin’s curse lies broken, foes wail in their shame,
His reign remakes my soul for heights entire!
I rise, resplendent, with a conqueror’s glee,
God’s royal heir, transformed, eternally free!
