In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains. At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they took to flight. The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you appointed for them.
Psalm 104:5-8 (ESV)
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.
Psalm 125:2 (KJV)
He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mortals, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth – the LORD God Almighty is his name.
Amos 4:13 (NIV)
In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.
Psalm 95:4 (ESV)
The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes, leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills.
Song of Solomon 2:8 (ESV)
And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.
Mark 9: 2-8 (ESV)
So grateful for the beauty, majesty
grandiose Christ-created landforms
of monumental crested mountains.
Every day Christ-created light paints
them all a different color and hue according to
our Triune God’s sovereign purpose and plan.
Looming large encircling landscapes,
surrounding nations, overarching people
reminding us that our Trinitarian
God is our Holy mountain, our Holy
fortress, our blessed exquisite mountaintop
that transfigures us from within with a
miraculous salvation that transforms the
landscape of our earthly lives into a divine crest
of salvations’ mountaintop where we are
transfigured within from darkened sin to a holy,
blameless, mercy drenched sin shattering white as snow
beauty-filled mountaintop. Because of salvation’s gift,
we as His saints become a holy redeemed mountainous
earthly temple dwelling place where the precious Holy Spirit
dwells and where we as believers can by faith enter into the
Holy of Holies. And now we, as privileged royal heirs, can
confidently boldly, joyfully, and victoriously enter into
the throne room of our King of Kings and with a thankful
forgiven heart full of mountainous faith we can at any time
pour out our heart to our Savior by faith, through faith,
and because of faith, face to face even though unseen.
So grateful for the beauty, majesty, grandiose Christ-created
often times gem-filled landforms of monumental crested
mountains that point us to our glorious Triune God!
