Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:3-5
Every time we cast an unfair, careless critical comment,
a slanderous judgment, a gossip-filled condemnation
on any soul created in the Imago Dei of our God we sin
against our Trinitarian God. For we have not walked in their
shoes. We do not know the entirety of their stories.
For our God is the ultimate justice seeker. The exact
moment you arrogantly judge another you will be judged!
For the same graceless judgment, you place on another
will be meted out to you. Beware if anyone hurts the apple of
God’s eyes, His beloved, royal children! Should this not cause
every Christian to walk tenderly, compassionately, humbly,
conscientiously, righteously in this ever increasingly wicked world?
Tragically this type of Christless destruction has become a demonic sport
not only in the unredeemed world but dishearteningly in the redeemed
church as well! For a redeemed, forgiven, uncondemned, blood-bought royal
child of a Holy God, these arrogant demonic carnal atrocities should not be so!
