Amid the dark, where shadows coldly reign,
A soul, encrusted deep in earthen mire,
Yearns for a light, a gleam to end its pain,
A spark to lift it from the ash and fire.
Like ruby fierce, with veins of molten glow,
Because of Jesus Christ, blood freely streams,
An emerald throne, where living waters flow,
Through Him, eternal life in faceted dreams.
The sapphire’s depth, a vault of cosmic hue,
Resounds with Christ’s own call, serene and vast,
While topaz burns, a solar amber brew,
His strength defies the storm, unbowed, steadfast.
In diamond’s heart, through Jesus, brilliance wakes,
A prismed peace, where every sorrow breaks.
