When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

When righteous rule with godly might,
The people sing in pure delight.
But when the wicked hold the rein,
The mourners weep in grief and pain.

We thank Thee, Lord, with grateful voice,
For righteous reign that bids rejoice.
In our dear land, restored once more,
Thy justice shines from shore to shore.

All praise to Christ, our Savior King,
Whose name makes joyful echoes ring!
The righteous rise, Thy will is done,
Our hearts exult in victory won.

All glory, Lord, to Thee we raise,
For faithful love through all our days!
