Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

Isaiah 58: 6-8 (KJV)

Precious Lord, no more stone-throwing, no more beams in our eyes, no more

pointing of fingers when I don’t know a precious soul’s story, their why,

their sighs, their lows, and what makes them fly, their gifts, their griefs,

and their beliefs. Lord let us be willing servants and willing to really, truly

authentically help any soul in need. And while we help, may we humbly,

tenderly, and graciously share the gift of all gifts, Salvation through

Jesus Christ, our blessed and soon-coming Lord, Redeemer, tender

Shepherd, fierce, divine, Holy warrior, and constant, loyal friend.

There is none better than another. For we are all sinners saved by glittering,

glorious, golden, generous grace. Lord make me, make us, make your

church more like thee and less like our prideful, carnal, selves. May we

never ever forget that it is only grace, grace, grace, grace, grace through

Jesus Christ our Lord that makes any sinner, any of us, a redeemed

royal, righteous, Child of the living Triune God. It’s all grace, grace, grace!
