This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Though nation war against nation,
We look unto Jesus. Though humanity
is self-focused, we look unto Jesus!
Though we find covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, rebellious,
unthankful, unholy, promise-breakers,
false accusers, lovers of money, mockers,
brutal haters of good, traitors, reckless,
conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than God,
having a form of Godliness but denying God
we look unto Jesus! And yet these are dark days!
Yet these are the days in which we live. And now
more than ever, we must look unto Jesus!
And as this sin-filled world grows darker,
we must practice, rehearse, and repeatedly
say, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher
of our faith; who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the shame, and
is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
So with victory and hope in our hearts, we can
always say, Looking unto Jesus, the author and
finisher of our faith! For Jesus Christ alone is
Passionately Pursuing Christ
