A thousand times each day we yield anew,
As Christ’s own flock, we die to selfish will,
Through passion fierce, His cross remains in view,
A thousand deaths our hearts must humbly fill.
Yet in the throes of sacrifice and pain,
Where mortal strength would falter, break, and fade,
Our Savior meets us, rising once again,
His resurrection power gently laid.
Each loss becomes a gain beneath His care,
A beauty blooms where flesh once held its reign,
Through countless falls, His might beyond compare,
Restores the soul that dies to live again.
So daily slain, we find His strength unfurled,
A living grace to shine upon the world.
